We spent a few days at Purgatory Sports and all of the different activities are so great! I would highly recommend the alpine slide! I have rode it 4 times and it's more fun every time! Staff (didn't get their names - two guys) explained all the facets. Met up with my wife 20 minutes later and she felt it was too small - I hadn't tried it on in the store. Since the tags were cut off, I didn't think I'd be able to return it. Surprisingly, they said of course! They found the correct size for me, exchanged jackets. Perfect jacket for me and warmer than I was expecting. I will shop this store every time I'm in Telluride! Curtis S.

First of all, we ordered 6 tubes and 2 paddle boards for a family birthday outing that were to be…read moreready at 1:00. When we got there, they weren't ready. We waited patiently for the guy to pump some tubes up and then he realized he only had 5 of the 6 we ordered. He went in to check on the 6th tube to come back and tell it had been double booked. We looked at him and he just shrugged his shoulders, like oh well. When we asked our options, he said he could give us a paddle board for the same price. We didn't want the paddle board, but because we needed more adults to go down the river to help supervise the kids, we agreed. Then the Paddle broke right as we started the trip. The shop wanted to charge us $120 for the replacement, but said he would cut us a deal and only charge us $75 for a paddle we didn't want to begin with. Since our family has rented there multiple times, I thought they would work with us on the charge. We broke it, I get it...but who is to say it was not already cracked. It was definitely not new and the equipment was covered in dust and dirt. Just felt like they were unprofessional in how this was handled all the way around. Keep shopping folks, there is better customer service in Telluride than this shop. Won't be back.

He's also the exclusive provider of Never Summer boards (a Colorado based and made in the USA company) in the Durango area. My only complaint is the size of the shop and the selection. Unfortunately, the rent at dmr got too high, so he had to move locations. Not bubba's fault, but it hurt the business regardless. He still has everything you need, but not a huge inventory. I went in there just to buy some wax, and some how he talked me into buying new boots. He coerced me with free socks, free wax and priced the boots just above wholesale. Insane! Whenever I (or you) have snowboard needs, bubbas is the place to go. I refuse to shop online for snowboard stuff ever again. Think locally, f*ck globally!
