We waited patiently for the guy to pump some tubes up and then he realized he only had 5 of the 6 we ordered. He went in to check on the 6th tube to come back and tell it had been double booked. We looked at him and he just shrugged his shoulders, like oh well. When we asked our options, he said he could give us a paddle board for the same price. We didn't want the paddle board, but because we needed more adults to go down the river to help supervise the kids, we agreed. Then the Paddle broke right as we started the trip. The shop wanted to charge us $120 for the replacement, but said he would cut us a deal and only charge us $75 for a paddle we didn't want to begin with. Since our family has rented there multiple times, I thought they would work with us on the charge. We broke it, I get it...but who is to say it was not already cracked. It was definitely not new and the equipment was covered in dust and dirt. Just felt like they were unprofessional in how this was handled all the way around. The rental employees are rude to customers, the new ownership won't allow walk-ins at all and, even after receiving gear, they won't allow customers to come in and tweak their sizing after 5 p.m. Basically, the store has developed an air of superiority that is very disrespectful and casts the entire ski resort in a negative light. Fun small guitar store on the main drag in Telluride. Eclectic collection of interesting guitars…read moreboth used and new. Lots of good Martins, some nice Collings and various other cool things. Played a 12 fret Iris drednaught that was unusual. The staff has always been really friendly and let me play whatever I wanted. You can rent guitars during the bluegrass fest if you don't want to bring your own but they are going to be built like tanks and not the greatest but price was super reasonable. Looks like they get a good share of cool vintage stuff - I got to play a fun '47 000-18 that had a ton of character. Always enjoy stopping in here especially when you catch them during a slow period in town and can check everything out.
