Perfect little cabins; clean, tidy and comfortable! The cabin I stayed in had 2 separate bedrooms…read moreand a pull out couch, perfect for kids. The beds were comfortable, one of them was brand new! The bathroom was small but there was excellent water pressure and good, hot water. Our cabin had all the basics including all kitchen ware, a coffee maker, hair dryer, TV/VCR/DVD player and alarm clocks. Outdoors, our yard included a screened in attached porch, fire pit (wood included), picnic table, chairs and a cafe table and a clothesline. The property sits on the edge of Lake Superior and has private beach access. The beach has beautiful Great Lakes sand and cool, clear water. The beach is lined with adirondack chairs and they have inner tubes for the kids. The owners work hard to maintain their property and therefore can be a bit persnitickity about their cabins and property. Don't be put off; this place is terrific and they are the reason why. Do bring your own marshmallow forks; it's the one thing we didn't find. And, do your grocery shopping before you get to Paradise; the grocery store is a whole different ball game!

Every surface was cleaned and wiped, even the corners of the room were vacuumed. No signs of bugs besides the ones outside. Very kind staff and the breakfast was good with great hours. They served the usual continental breakfast fare - waffles (including a mini waffle machine!), eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, coffee, juice, fruit, mini muffins. They offer a discount for the ferry, and you can walk there from the hotel. A great place to stay if you're visiting Mackinac!

Our economy room had two queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave with a terrace overlooking the pool. Our room was dated but very clean, quiet and sufficient for two nights. There was plenty of free parking. The motel was right on Lake Huron, the Straits of Mackinac. We are a five minute walk to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Breakfast was served until 10 o'clock in the morning. It was very busy with big groups of children under five and seniors; an interesting mix. There were three waffle makers with assorted toppings, coffee, frozen pastries, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, eggs & bacon. There was an indoor & an outdoor pool, coin operated washing machines, fitness center, nightly bonfire and playground on the premises. A golf cart shuttled seniors & children around the property.

The resort sits on a fairly large lake, 1 mile south of Lake Superior...the lake was originally used as a Lumber Holding\Sorting area. The proximity to both does not just offer some fantastic fishing, but keeps the temperature relatively tame.. Mid July we were roughly in the low 70s, a couple of days in the low 80s and a few nights in the 40s... so don't worry bout the absence of AC in the cabins... Not really Needed. However light pants and long sleeve shirt may be a life saver when the black flies are about. They can be relentless in the north-woods There are 6 cabins, 2 x 2 Unit Duplexes and 2 stand alones? The wife and I stayed in a duplex laid out as an efficiency unit . Again no AC but a small fan was supplied with screened windows offering a great cross-breeze. We had a double bed plus a double futon as a couch..bedding pillows and some warm blankets were provided. Hot water was ample, crisp great tasting well water.. Bathroom had a shower and toilet...powerful plumbing with clean towels!. The kitchen had a small 2 seat dinette as shown in the photos. Propane range\oven with a small set of pans and cooking utensils. We had a toaster, efficiency refrigerator w/freezer and Weber grill outside. Servings for 4. The place was immaculate.. bring paper towels and TP There's 150\200' of nice beach, an area for a communal bonfire..fish cleaning hut and a rowboat is provided with the cabin. Motorboats when available are 50$ a day but you can bring your own. This was a deal at a great price. Gather your necessities at the IGA in Newberry on the way in because once you're here ya don't want leave. Ask mike about where the berries are when they're in season.
