I wouldn't trust this lot to change their mind, let alone change a tyre…read more I needed a new tyre and wasn't well enough to drive from Paisley to Johnstone, to the garage I normally use. I had already had bad experiences with Kwik-Fit which is directly across from here, and I hoped this lot would be better - I was wrong. They replaced the tyre and told me another tyre needed to be replaced. I asked what was wrong with it and was told 'It won't last much longer'. I declined and left after paying for the new tyre. I went to my regular garage the following week and asked them to look at the tyre that the staff member at National Tyres & Autocare said needed replacing. Big surprise, there was and still is - after six months - nothing wrong with the tyre. Avoid at all cost. This is proof enough to let you know exactly what they're about. I dread to think how many people have fallen for this.

Car booked in and left the garage as I had advised I would return around 30 minutes later. Received a call from the garage around 10 minutes after leaving to advise they did not have the tyre. Returned to the garage and discussed it in more detail. Asked why the tyre was not there as it had been pre-booked and pre-paid, why they had not known that before I left and when the tyre would be in. The overweight and unhelpful depot manager could not answer that and simply offered a refund. I asked for his name and his line manager's name to take the complaint further and he refused to provide it. If National Tyres do have a complaints procedure, he either doesn't know what it is or doesn't want to comply with it. Neither is acceptable and should result in disciplinary action if anyone is actually in control of the business. Probably explains the absence of any customers and why the staff were sitting around doing nothing. Awful. Don't waste your time and money on this place.

Dooleys has been a Paisley institution for years. Family and friends have used this place so when I…read morewas picking up a gift voucher then I thought I'd check out their kit. I think this is probably a bit of a boys shop as a lot of the kit looked to be aimed at men but there are bikes for all. I also sought advice on the best type of bike for me. I had heard about the Bike to Work scheme and also was curious about what my best options were. I was given full info on how the scheme worked, what type of bikes would be suitable and also what would best suit my needs. Time was spent explaining all this to me, without making me seem like a dumb girl which I appreciated. So, I had a good experience here and I'm currently investigating bike to work as I'd return to Dooleys to get my bike and kit :-)

The bike went in for a three day stay of Spring maintenance. When I got it back the wheel had been replaced, which was required, and the chain had been oiled and such. However, the bike was as dirty as when I brought in and one of the tires was flat. I was going to go back but after paying almost a hundred quid, but I thought that it would easier to push it home and sort it myself. There seems to be a class system in place. If you are a roadie or a member of the racing clubs they love you. If you are a disheveled hybrid rider with urban bad boy to sort out, they are not that fussed.
