Renatus one of the employees working at Halfords has been quick in identifying the problems my car had many other mechanics haven't been able to do that. He said he was nearly 60 with 40 years of work experience, I must admit his ability are really good a Sherlock Holmes of cars! I'm looking for a push bike, and Halfords keep boasting about sales they're having, so I thought I'd drop into the store down the way from me and see what they have to offer. Not a lot, was the resounding response. Sure, they sell bikes at the back of the store, and even some awesome looking full suspension mountain bike treats. At a price. But for selection, they really aren't up there with Evans. I would have given the guys 5 stars, but my bike wasn't available on the Friday when the website said it would be :) The staff (especially TK) were great. He was so friendly and helpful. I recently purchased another bike from Evans and I can tell you the service from the Bike guys here was better. I also got a great price on the bike - a pashley 10% off - which was better than anything else. I really appreciated the time TK took to set-up the bike for me, and the help to select a cover, a helmet and the service package to go with the bike. Actually the guys were so nice I couldn't imagine going anywhere else to get help with the bike - I bought the 3 year plan. PS - I also visited the specialist independent bike shop across the road (shop local!) but he didn't stock Pashleys and wasn't interested in selling me a helmet for my son. I put my bike in to get repaired in September 2015 it is now March 2016 and I still haven't got it back yet.....I'm having to chase them up!!! I wouldn't bring my bike to them again not even if they paid me!!! read more
