After multiple attempts going back and forth to the garage, I asked for it to be removed as made my car unusable. Communication was terrible for sorting anything out emails were constantly ignored, and I would ring up and get told they would email me back, this was a constant thing and not a one-off. Eventually got it removed however after paying nearly 1k in total I got less than half of that back as they charged me for the labour of fitting removal and every time I had a problem with it they charged the labour for that. I only had the car play in for around 4/5 months so still should have been under warranty from TTW that fitted it. However, I just wanted it gone and to not deal with them again so didn't bother taking it any further. If everything works fine TTW is probably good and ok priced, but if you think you may have any problems with equipment working on your vehicle, avoid at all costs!

What a great team Mark and Ursula make! My son had a…read moreproblem with intermittent faults on his brake and indicator light on the rear of his 2011 Renault Clio. Despite a few attempts from the local garage the fault kept coming back (after we spent quite a lot of money...). A quick google and I found that C.A.R.S are relatively local to me so sent in a web enquiry on a Sunday afternoon. Ursula called me on the Monday morning and after an we had a chat she booked me in with Mark for the Friday morning (the only day I had off that week). I met Mark and he quickly discovered what the issue was and set to fix it. Mark explained about the fault and showed me where it was which will be very handy for the future. During his work Mark realised the (cheap) bulb the garage supplied was at fault so replaced that with a quality one, he also noticed a tracker device installed on the battery which we had no idea was there! From start to finish Ursula and Mark have been brilliant, the fees for the work are reasonable and I have already been recommending them to friends and family. If you any problems with your car electrics please go straight to the experts rather than a garage, you'll save yourself time and money! Thank you Mark and Ursula, I hope not to have to contact you again about my sons car, but I suspect another fault will no doubt appear!

The shelves seem busier and some of the Christmas gift ideas are really good. Who wouldn't enjoy a radio-controlled rat, or mini walkie-talkies with a 5km range? Small Christmas trees made of plastic circuit board catch my eye: you have to build them up yourself and feature LEDs for lights. Being a bit of an electronics geek I always find Maplin to be a good browse, though they are sometimes overpriced. But all the sale shelves in the Putney branch quickly put my mind at ease. A nice and inexpensive gift for a music lover is a box of blank CD-Rs that look like little records. There's also always something for mom, dad, little brother or sister. Maplin Putney always has knowledgeable staff on hand to field more technical questions too.
