We purchased a hot tub from Mike Simons at the Brookhaven, PA location on June 14. As of August 11, we still have not received the hot tub. We were given a delivery date (August 7) that was not honored, and Mike subsequently stopped responding to our calls, emails, and text messages the week of the "alleged" delivery date. The lack of communication throughout this process has been extremely concerning. Based on our experience, I would not recommend doing business with Mike Simons or Half Price Hot Tubs. The communication and handling of our purchase have been unacceptable, and we deeply regret doing business here. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I bought a top of the line hot tub here in 2022 which came with multiple issues straight away including a tear in the cover, multiple lights that didn't work, broken grommets, and the dials were on backwards and some of which didn't work. I called and emailed them 20+ times over a three year period and never got everything fixed. They did end up replacing the cover which was awesome, and tried to fix a couple things but never made it right or worth the money that I paid. I would avoid this company. read more

Had a feeling I need to sue this company. I've got the civil suit paper work and going to file Monday! I gave the owner every chance to make this right and they just do NOT care. Been getting the run around since January when I was lead to believe the new cover would fit my tub. After paying for the cover, delivery, and tip find out its too big. Had to put a water logged cover back on thats been dropping rust in my water and all kinds of debris is falling down will I leave constant messages via phone and email that all go unanswered!! Go in to the Brookhaven store to this guy, Jim who is useless and gave me the wrong email address to the owner (Keith). I went back to the store all irate and demanded a phone number since I'm storing their cover still waiting on mine with no answer...he refused to give me anything. Only to find out Nick left the company (even though his name is on their phone) and they got rid of tons of staff. Owner calls Saturday, says give me till Monday. We ordered our hot tub April 3rd and were told that if we paid for it in full it would be a month, if you put down a payment - it would be 8 weeks. I decided to pay in full - the service manager called to ensure one was in stock and sure enough there were two in stock. It's now going on 10 weeks and still no hot tub. What can i say about this Place? The owners lie, they sell refub hot tubs as brand new. I had to quit when the owner said to me "im not worried about warranty work that I can go last on the list!. Invoices were not getting paid because the owner did not want to pay them so people did not get their parts. People did not get their things. They need to run their hot tub. Once they got the moneu from you for the hot tubm care what else you need they've got their money. The sales division were idiots, how can you sell something and not have a single idea of what it is what it does or the features it has. Worst business I have ever worked with. Ordered a hot tub in December and paid for it. Said it would take 6 weeks to come in, said fine that I did not want till March. They said give them 2 weeks notice. Called early March and set March 27. Night before got a call that said it is not in yet, the owner was waiting for a full truck that was coming in the following Friday so set it for the next Tuesday. (Lie 1) Monday night got a call that the crane company had a broken down and not sure when it would be fixed. Asked them to get another crane co. which they did and they came said no problem so re-scheduled for the following Friday. (Lie 2) Thursday the day before, got a call that said the tub was not in yet, it was coming in Saturday. I said if they could not guarantee delivery on Monday, then the deal was off. They called me back that afternoon and said good to go. (Lie 3) Monday morning the time came and went, called and they said the crane had another job and as soon as they were done, we were good to go. (Lie 4) The crane showed up at 2... I asked them if they had another job that morning and they said no, they were ready to go at 10 am. While they were looking at the old tub, they got a call from dispatch that said the delivery was cancelled. Now about an hour later the owner called and started by saying {just got off the phone with the crane company, and they just finished their other job} I stopped him right there and said the crane co. was here and they said they did not have any other job that morning. so we ordered a new cover for our hot tub. This was in February 2026. We were told it would take 4 to 6 weeks. That was perfectly fine. My husband asked to have it delivered to our house, we were informed that could not happen. We had to pay an extra $200 for them to deliver it to our house. So in April, I start calling and asking where the cover is. It has now been eight weeks. We were informed that the person that was, the manager was fired, then we were told that they didn't know where the order was, then the best was company that makes them is behind on orders. We did not receive any information about any of this. If we would've been told there was an issue we might've canceled the order. After many phone calls and a bad review on finally got a phone call. We were informed that the hot tub cover would be in within two weeks. That was actually five weeks ago. Then on Friday we receive a phone call while we are traveling out of state that there will be somebody dropping the hot tub cover off on Saturday between 10 and one. They were informed that there was nobody there we had to make arrangements for someone to be at the house. When they arrived with the cover at 3:30 they did not knock on the door. They did not let anyone know that they were at the house. My son-in-law came the house and informed them that we had two large dogs in the house, and they were not happy that there was somebody in our yard. They put the cover on the hot tub did not lock. It did not leave us keys for it or the screws to put the locks on. We always lock our hot tub cover because we have four small children that us. Once we returned I was looking at the cover and noticed there are small tears in the cover. My husband informed the manager that he had been talking to that I was not happy, and for $1000 it should be perfect. We were informed we to send pictures because the installer had taken pictures. We have yet to hear back from him about our issue. My question is why is it so hard to take care of a who has been a for eight years? We will never again contact or use hot tub. This company is filled with liars and scammers. Avoid at all costs. After having a nightmare delivery situation, where they initially delivered a used tub, after I bought a new one, then delivered a cracked tub, I eventually got an Artesian Elite Pelican Bay. The hot tub, which is still under warranty, has been leaking for A YEAR now. Half Price has come at more than 10 times and sent at least 5 different technicians. At least two of them lied about finding a leak. Service appointments were regularly cancelled with no notice. The Company went through THREE service managers. Ultimately, they diagnosed a foot well leak and claimed they needed to order new gaskets. That was 5 months ago. Due to all the delays they offered to empty the hot tub over the winter. They were supposed to come while we were on vacation, and didn't even bother to show up. I have contacted the owner Keith Patridge several times. He has done nothing to address the situation and now ignores emails. Having had no luck getting this fixed I am getting a proper repair service out here and will just sue them for breach of warranty and I've filed a complaint with the BBB. I don't understand the negative reviews, some of which are years old. I had a great experience with Half Price Hit Tubs. They had lots of tubs displayed in a really pretty show room. I was able to see the tub I wanted. I particularly liked the no-pressure sales. The manager was very helpful in answering our questions and explained the installation process. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. We waited for months for the spa. It kept getting delayed. Finally it was installed and 6 weeks later the waterfall feature literally exploded in a fountain. The control panel is also failing. I am disabled and use the tub to literally walk. Trying to get any answers is such a monumental chore. The repair manager will not return calls. They only respond if you go to the manufacturer for pressure and tweet. The owner assured us the parts were ordered days ago, but we can't get any response as to when they will come out to fix it. Meanwhile my walking is deteriorating again -- I have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. If you are considering a spa purchase, investigate the service/repair record first. We bought our hot tub here 3 years ago. We called for service in October. They made the appointment. (11/3) The tech got sick. They needed to reschedule. No big deal. No one got back to us. Someone shows up, while we were away, to look at the hot tub. No appointment. We are told the pump seized. They will call with a price and to schedule repair. We get the quote. I pay for the repair (12/12) $825.34. Repair scheduled for 12/22. Same guy comes out. Looks at the hot tub and says NOTHING is wrong with it, but asked if we want to keep the pump....uh, no. I want my money back. When we called about a refund we were told they thought the repair was completed. We were told 7-10 days for a refund. Then told the refund couldn't be processed until the owner came back. (2 more weeks.) Multiple phone calls later I get a refund today (1/28) for $715.34. So they kept $110 to come out and give me wrong info, charge me for something I didn't need and hold onto my money for weeks?! We won't be back. read more

Left me with a pile of trash and the tub was not in position, so I could not fill it. It took 3 of them to figure out how to put together the cover opener and it was the wrong one. I purchase a spa here late last fall. It's been a perfect experience all winter, spring and summer until yesterday when it started tripping the breaker. I was immediately concerned about it being out of warranty or close to. I went into the showroom to report the issue today. They dispatched the repair crew within 2 hours and found a problem with a pump. They drove back to the warehouse, had the part in stock, returned immediately and made the repair. By 5:00 the spa was refilled and running perfectly, all covered under warranty 100%. These guys get it! read more

Terrible buying experience at this location. The man working Sunday (wish I got his name) was very attentive and showed us around for quite a while, and we ultimately settled on a particular model and got the pricing, which he bundled together with the cover and delivery. We were taking a while to think about it and double check our measurements when another couple came in, and suddenly his attention seemed to focus 100% on them. When we finally got his attention back, I asked a few questions about the model, a number of which he answered wrong, directly contradicting the brochure in front of us. Then I asked again, what was the total price (we were prepared to buy, regardless of the bad information). He gave us a price $3000 higher!!! This was so unbelievably unprofessional and we immediately walked out. Hopefully this individual is not representative of the company. Like the other reviews, our experience was similar. We scheduled a repair assessment appointment. It was cancelled the day of, due to the technician having personal issues. It was rescheduled for several weeks later. OK... these things happen. The second appointment was a success and they charged $125 to come out to assess our spa for a repair. The repair guys were very nice and knowledgeable. They do deserve one star for that. After that it went downhill. We agreed to the repair estimate (and the initial $125 would be credited toward the labor charge). A repair date was set. On repair day, they called and said they would not be coming because now they needed all the money upfront for parts. They hadnt even ordered the parts yet! Because the repair guys were so great, I took a chance and agreed. They charged us the full price of parts (OK I guess... but it should have only been a downpayment) and 3 hours of labor (not OK because the work was not completed). They also did not credit the initial $125. After I was charged and received the bill to see this itemized out, I started calling and emailing to dispute the charges. I kept this up for three weeks and no one would respond. On the second repair day, they finally called and said they would not be coming again because they still didnt have the parts and they were not sure when they would get them. We cancelled the repair and requested a full refund but they said would have to discuss it with the owner, Keith. Total length of time was 2 months going round and round with this company also while they make interest (or pay other bills) with our money for a month. At this point its clear this company is not reputable and so we just went straight to the credit card company to dispute the charges and report them to the Better Business Bureau. We visited the showroom knowing exactly what we wanted. The price was great for the outstanding tub we selected based upon prior experience with the same manufacturer and brand. I'd say that it was the easiest sale they have ever made. Our delivery was promised in 3 weeks. Due to a manufacturer's delay delivery did not occur until nearly 6 weeks after that. That was not the fault of Half-Price Hot tubs. And, if we were told the truth, that would have been acceptable. However, the store manager told multiple untruths which I discovered after calling the manufacturer directly myself. He promised multiple times that the tub was "on its way", the tub was "on the truck and en route". The manufacturer confirmed this to be untrue. Bought a hot tub that the seller Keith told me would work over 120 and was "plug and play," it even came with the plug for the normal outlet. The hot tub was delivered late April 2019 and fine in both warm and cold weather, however fast forward to early November 2019, the hot tub turned off and wouldn't turn back on. I called their service team to see if they could look at it, I was told they would be able to come until two weeks later (they originally told be it would be a month, which was unacceptable.) I asked the person on the phone what I should do in the mean time to keep the hot tub from freezing and I was told "do what you can." How did they possibly think that was helpful in the least? Luckily, my local pool supply store was more then happy to help and not rush me off the phone, you may ask "why didn't you drain the tub," well that's what I wanted to do, but was told that they wanted to test it with the water in it for some reason. When the service person arrived they told me the board was fried and that I would need a replacement, which was covered under warranty and that they should be back in about a week to fix the tub. A week later and nothing, I called them and after being hung up on several times finally got through to a voicemail, later that day I was told that the part hasn't arrived yet, so I waited another two weeks and called again, same as before was hung up on several times and left a message with the receptionist. Received a call back and I was told that they were just about to call me and tell me the part arrived today (ya right) and that they would be there in two weeks. So on December 24th they came to install the part, but first they need to drain the tub. After draining the tub and replacing the part the guy left, because he couldn't wait for the tub to be filled again, which was understandable since it would take about an hour. After the tub filled up I turned it on and nothing would start, the pumps would just make a clicking noise and the heater just didn't seem to turn on. After spending an hour on the phone and having someone tell me they can't help because it's Christmas Eve (don't be scheduling appointments on Christmas eve and Christmas Day then.) I finally got a hold of the person that came by earlier that day, he came back looked at the hot tub and told me that it wouldn't work and that the hot tub I had was only for 240, so I explained the situation, that I was told by Keith that this hot tub would work over 120 and that it even came with a power cord. I was told that there was nothing he could do because it would only work on 240 and that I'd have to call the store and deal with it. In short, don't trust this store they're just looking to make the sale, they don't care once the hot tub is sold, they will even pull a bait and switch as you can see. We have had our hot tub since 2015. Whenever I had a question regarding chemicals or general maintenance, the company has always been there to help. The other day one of the control valves stopped working. I brought the piece into the show room and because it is still under warranty they immediately gave me the replacement part.
