This was and might forever be the absolute worst experience I have EVER HAD!!! Ordered a new storm door - 4/25/24 Finally arrived- 5/1/24 Used the provided installation company- 6/6/24 Double-tripled checked that the cost of the installation included the capping around the door. On all 3 occasions I was told the $467 to install the door included the capping. Once the installer arrived he not only didn't speak English but had no idea about the capping and proceeded to let us know that he didn't have the capping... Also he said he would need to do the capping prior to installing the door! After we waited for 6 weeks decided to must get it done and bring if up with Lowe's!!! After 4 non-retuned phone calls I finally got a hold of a employee named Joe Joe (in fairness Joe Joe he was very helpful) TODD THE AGM IS A COWARD WHO SHOULD NOT BE A MANAGER anyway was told it was 100% Lowe's fault - and said I would be getting a refund. He also agreed that once the door was hung removing it would compromise the screws and wood That's said I told him my refund should be enough to cover not only the capping but the cost to paint and complete the entire job.. my refund was$147!!! I tested Lowe's 90 day return policy today at this store and they did great. No muss. No fuss. Refund completed in about 30 seconds, and I got a smile too. The issue was I bought a battery-powered electrocution-style mouse trap on November 2nd. It was ineffective. My old style traps were killing all of them instead. I was going to return it sooner, but the receipt said: "If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase simply return the merchandise to any Lowe's store in the U.S. within 90 days. We, in our discretion, will repair it, replace it, or, based on your method of payment, refund your money." So today was Day 90. I'm impressed with how they handle returns. Called Nursery Dept to ask for sizes / availability / prices for boxwood shrubs. Was put on hold for 5 minutes. The young man who finally answered told me he had no idea what a boxwood was. (WHAT?) "A boxwood? It's a shurb. A bush." "We have some flowers." "No, this is a boxwood, it's a type of bush." "Oh, no, we don't even have the license to carry those." (??? License? What is this dude talking about?) "Uh, okay..." "Our Nursery Specialist will be in in a half hour." Why do I need to talk to a "Nursery Specialist" about boxwoods? This is arguably the most basic, simple landscaping staple in America. It's like asking the hardware department if they have a screw. Not only should they have them, they should have a million varieties, sizes, grower brands, etc. Hung up and called the Oaks Lowes location. Instantly dealt with first person in Nursery, who knew her stuff. I was given info on sizes, species, growers, and prices. Also given options of other shrubs that I might want to use instead if growing conditions worked better for those. Oaks associate also knew about the recent boxwood blight that I was concerned about, and could recommend a number of nurseries near me to visit in case Lowes didn't have the exact species and size I was looking for. I settled on the Sky Pencil Japanese Holly, 1gal, for $9.98 and a Golden Arb, 1gal. for $8.98, and will make the LONGER trip to the Oaks store. The associates at Brookhaven are CLUELESS, and have zero concern for how clueless they are. People like this are going to sink Lowes into the ground because it is not worth box store savings to deal with people who cannot even bother to use their brain for minimal common sense. They actively WASTE customer time rather than work on making business transactions and gaining growth for the company. How can this possibly be sustainable longterm for corporate? The brookhaven Lowe's has been the best friend for my wife and I with different home projects and this wasn't any different. We began to have trouble with our dryer and when we opened it up we realized that the screw was stripped and we needed a new one. I ran to Lowe's to try and find someone to help me. Once I found help I didn't realize the store closed in ten minutes but he took his time and walked me through what I might need. I was able to take it home and fix the dryer. I felt knowledgeable after talking to him on how to fix it and I appreciate the patience he took as well as the other representatives that were determined to get someone to help me even though it was almost closing time. read more

Not only did Lowes sell us a REFURBISHED washer to us with out us even knowing at full price , we had multiple exchanges even received the wrong model.. no show for deliveries. Rude managers unwillimg to help. Now just shy of the washer being 1 year old its malfunctioning. The store failed to transfer our protection plan to the exchanged unit so we couldnt file a claim for over 5 days until we located receipts for proof of puechase. Now 9 days later still no phone call or anywhere closer to repair. Called their warranty repair cs and asked for escalation. We were told we would get a call same business day ...NoTHing.. Placed an online order for curbside pick up. Was available for pickup same day. Masked employee approached the car and asked if we were there for pickup. He was gone for a moment and placed my item in my hatchback. Was the fastest most efficient shopping experience I've ever had at a hardware store. That's not even the whole story. That was 9/25. Today is 10/8. I received a call from the store checking on the item. They want to make sure I'm pleased with my purchase. I mean come on! You don't come across many happy employees, especially during a pandemic. Stephen from paint, and Matt from plumbing, were the opposites. We saw Stephen back to back days, and both days, he was very good at his job. He's helpful, informative, and most importantly passionate about his line of work. Matt was very quick to help and answer questions with a smile on his face. Both of them deserve to be recognized because there are a lot of stressed out customers walking through those doors. This place doesn't have ANYTHING. Literally nothing we need...ever! We were so excited to finally have a home improvement store closer than 25 minutes away but it's like that never even happened. We still make the 25 minute trek to a Home Depot every time we need something! That stupid karate place wouldn't leave so they had to make this a "mini" Lowe's instead of a regular sized store. A girl came over to me and I asked if she could help me with a return (they wouldn't want to ASK the customer if they could help them). She said "on the other side" so I went to the other side. As soon as I got there, she LEFT. She felt that one customer needed a THIRD employee to help and she totally ignored me. After a few minutes, I said "can you please wait on me?" And she came back and said "CALM DOWN. It's all right". That was the response, not "sorry for deserting you without an explanation and making you wait". CALM DOWN???? Today, my wife and I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer for her sister. Service Mgr., Stephen McCaffrey, was a breath of fresh air. He knew the product line inside and out. He was so very helpful with the products, and reviewed the settings for us. He discussed the accessories that we needed and we took advantage of the 3 year extended warranty. Customer service means a lot to us and Stephen represents Lowe's, in Brookhaven, PA, in five star fashion. If you need appliances, go see Stephen, and you will be glad you did. The worst. Ordered a grill. It was deliver & half of the grill would not ignite properly. They agreed to deliver a new completely assembled grill (exactly like the first one) and take the broken one back. Delivery shows up with a grill that was missing parts! Purchased a pack of Xmas lights that were not used - tried to return them well within the documented policy on the receipt description. Was told corporate will not allow xmas returns after 12/31 - a policy not documented or signed anywhere in the store. This all while leftover Xmas stuff sat by the registers for sale without a note about being "final sale." They wouldn't even do an exchange for another item. This will be my last purchase at Lowe's and I will encourage others to do the same. At least do what Target goes - any holiday item has a clear return by date. read more

Lowe's wouldn't price match an item on amazon, although their website clearly states that they price match amazon. I spoke to a "manager" who was rude and said that I don't care what the website says but you still can't price match amazon. People should be educated to their own policies when the Lowe's corporate website reads as such: Do you price match online-only retail competitors? Yes, we price match offers from online-only retail competitors (a competitor that doesn't have a physical storefront). For example, we price match items sold by Amazon.com but not by a third-party seller on Amazon.com. So I guess I will have to shop elsewhere! Ordered a custom exterior door with pet door in May. $1700. Now July and on 4 the installer that either never showed up or called back to confirm installation. Frame was measured 3x! Store said pet door came in weeks ago with main door coming June 10th. Last person said door was in but waiting for pet door! I'm giving til after 4th of July to call and get $$$ back. As a customer and local contractor I have experience with all Home improvement stores. This is by far the worst one. Not only do they never have anything you need but their customer services is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with. You have to speak with 5 different people to get any answers and no one ever wants to help. I recently called there asking about a product that was on clearance after about 20 mins and speaking with 5 different people. I was told that it was not on clearance and was full price. Then I see today that item was sold at the exact price I asked about yesterday! I am furious!!!! It was a 300.00 savings that I would have had if it wasn't for the ignorance and bad customer service of this place. Do yourself a favor and go to home depot in Ridley! I never went on yelp before for any reason I here to say that lowes protection is a scam I been without a dryer for 2 mins they had no one to come out and fix the problem so they said they were sending a ck out for a new dryer immediately yet a month went by then another month and now they r saying there nothing in there computer about this situation even though we have names of customer serv rep also adding to this conclusion is the fact they also took my lawnmower to fix a simple bend in the blade keep it for 2 min's and would not give it back they demanded over 400 for a blade I of 19 and installed myself i had to call lowes protection just to get my lawnmower back home because they wouldn't realea it back to us even though lawnmower was of in full these 2 incidents lead me to believe lowes protection is a scam and there is no outlet for the customer like me we have to take what they r doing to us with no one to answer for there actions We spent over 400 at laundry mat over 2 mins and there still no end in sight we're out of money for laundry it's at the point it's taking food offmy family's table and there's no end in sight if anyone sees this and could help us from yelp please respond read more

I purchased a dishwasher on February 2. In advance of the purchase, and at the insistence of the man I worked with in the appliance section, I paid to have someone from Lowe's come to my house and take measurements to make sure the dishwasher I selected would fit. When I purchased the dishwasher, I was assured it would fit because the measurements previously taken gave no indication it would not. On the day of installation, the plumber called to tell me the dishwasher wouldn't fit. Apparently, I need a specific size. I returned to Lowe's and explained the situation to a different associate, who helped me select a dishwasher that would fit. This new model was slightly more expensive than the model I had originally purchased, but after speaking to her manager, she told me I would not be charged the difference in an effort to correct the mistake that had been made by Lowe's. According to her, there was one model of this particular dishwasher left on the floor, and she was going to set it aside for me. She said she would contact the plumber, and once he returned the model that did not fit, he could pick up the new dishwasher and arrange for its installation. On the new day of installation, the plumber called and told Lowe's didn't have a dishwasher for me, and that no one in the appliance department knew what was going on. I called Lowe's, and after some back and forth, the appliance manager, Kevin, realized that the previous associated tried to do an exchange in the system, but it didn't work because she should have returned the first dishwasher and entered the second dishwasher as a new purchase. Kevin was able to locate the second dishwasher I selected in the system and placed a new order. On the day it was set to be installed, I discover Kevin had ordered a stainless steel model, even though I wanted white. When I contacted both customer service and Kevin, I was basically told that this was my fault, and that I had never specified which color I wanted. I will now have to wait an additional two weeks for the white model to arrive. This has been a very poor customer service experience, and I do not appreciate being blamed for the situation nor spoken to in a condescending manner. I didn't realize it would take two months and several angry phone calls just to get a dishwasher. read more

Purchased dishwasher in Oct 2016 at this Lowes. Service was great. Store did exactly what they said. Great store. The Maytag dishwasher was not so great. Maytag dishwasher serviced by authorized service 5 times. Maytag offered poor customer service. Took the issue to Lowes. They stepped up and resolved it. They offered pu/exchange in 2 days. I did upgrade the new dishwasher, but it was well worth it to resolve this issue. This Lowes in Brookhaven was Excellent. read more

Hey all, its Ronald again. Its been about 26 weeks now. Sorry i havent written. Life seems to be improving a little bit but not fucking much. Im no longer unemployed. Ive secured a job at Arbys. Part time. The winnebago is in peak form. Only breaking down a few times. Ive been able to save up my unemployment checks and refurbish the inside. But enough of the good shit. I walked into Lowes on my off day with the hopes of getting some work at home done. But when i walked in i was hit by some bitch on an electric scooter. The staff did a very shitty job of checking to see if i was okay. I was fine as ive been through worse shit over the past couple months. I find my way to the isles were i get what im looking for. Tiles, paint, and some wood for my new bookshelf. I head to the cash register to check out. Ive been surprised by a lot of things in my life but nothing new here. He smelt like shit and looked like he was forced to be here. I tried to be friendly in hopes he was having a bad day. I would know ive been having one on repeat for the last couple weeks. I then proceed to drop the fucking paint all over the floor, wow. My luck has struck again. I look at the guy and he tells me i have to pay for a new can if i want it. But little does he know im fucking poverty stricken and that was my paycheck i took out in advance. I say fuck it. I walk out to the winnebago. Somethings off. Oh yeah, its the fucking wheels. My beautiful rejuvenated ride is sitting on cinder blocks in the middle of the lot. How the fuck does that happen. I contemplate walking home. But then realized my home is 5 feet in front of me. Im always about looking at the bright side of things though, so i go inside and proceed with my day. Just when i thought things couldnt get worse. I wake up around 1 AM to the feeling of my rv moving. I got fucking towed. My life really fucking sucks and i keep discovering a new rock bottom. My family has found a new father and they no longer send post cards. Im likely to be unemployed again this time tomorrow as i have work in 4 hours and i have no ride. The store is fully stocked and prices are normal for a hardware type store. Great amount of parking - not congested like the Mall location off 202 in Del. This is by far the worst store for purchase online and pickup in store. Lowe's competitor just 6.8 miles away, tax free, is a thousand times better. For the second time, I placed an order online and arrived at the store following my "order is ready" email. Both times, I waited over half an hour and they could not find my order. Most recently, when you don't want to be standing around with people passing and standing close to you, I tried to leave and the customer service reps insisted I stay until they find it. Half an hour later, I left and was told they would call me when they found my order. That was a week ago. I called the store one time in between and was left on hold for 20 minutes. I called Lowe's headquarters and was on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up. I allowed extra ship to store time and extra time for a reply, but I think I've been more than patient. So, to date, I never got a call and never received by order. This will be my last purchase from this store of horrible customer service representatives. read more
