I was referred to Dr. Eddy for medication management by my therapist a few years ago. I admit that…read moreI was skeptical of med management vs. traditional therapy, but I find that Dr. Eddy is very informed and supportive. He is good at explaining the reasons for recommended medications or "tools" for a better, more productive life. He has an ease in his interactions that I appreciate.

First off, I must preface my review that I currently live in Vernon which, on a good day is a half…read morehour drive to Dr. Eddy's office...up to an hour on a bad day! That said, I would still continue as a patient of his regardless of the drive time or traffic. I see him for treatment of Adult ADHD and depression and his is head and shoulders above any other psychiatrist I have ever been to. He is professional, courteous and above all else, punctual! I cant tell you how many Dr.s i've had in the past who have made me wait, sometimes up to an hour, past our scheduled times. On occasion, i've even been taken early. He is young, personable, has a tremendous knowledge in his field and takes the time to explain how any prescriptions he writes work on the brain and any adverse side effects they may have. I dont feel like "patient 24601" during our sessions; he takes a moment to just see how i'm doing over all and asks about my family by name and now "...and how are things with your spouse and 2 dependents?" Definitely the best experience i have had with a doctor anywhere! His office isn't too far from West Hartford Center, which is a definite plus for when I need to get some shopping in before or after an appointment!

I have not personally used their services but have friends who speak very highly about CHR and have…read morereceived help from them. I attended a fundraiser for CHR last week and it was so obvious how much their leadership cares and wants to make a difference in the community and peoples lives. One board member lost their child to suicide and has since been a huge proponent of advocating for mental health and found CHR as his mechanism to support the effort. I strongly recommend seeking their services if you are in need of help from people who care.

Faith Care should not be in the supplying of aides/caregivers business. Their billing practices…read moreare, shall we say, questionable to say the least. Their aides - for the most part - are disrespectful ... and if you dare to say that to Faith Care, they accuse you of being disrespectful to their aides. In fact, Faith Care has/had a habit of putting the responsibility of whatever bad happening solely on their clients. Also, it appears to me that Faith Care's aides have/had more rights than their clients. When you question if you had made a duplicate payment, Faith Care will argue with you and demand you prove that you have, instead of checking their records. Because of verbal abuse at the hands of one of Faith Care's "best" aides, I switched agencies from Faith Care to an agency named CT IN HOME ASSISTANCE. Everything bad that Faith Care and their aides are, My new agency is not. Example: Totally on their own, CT IN HOME ASSISTANCE contacted me last week, and informed me that they had found a duplicate payment and would be returning it (which they have), and they told me not to pay that week's invoice because my account is/was up to date. AND REMEMBER - THEY DID IT ON THEIR OWN! Opposite of what Faith Care does. And CT IN HOME ASSISTANCE's aide? He's more respectful than the last aide from Faith Care, he knows his job better than the last aide I had from Faith Care. Bottom line? In regard to Faith Care? BUYER BEWARE.

Their desire was to remain in their home instead of a nursing home. The manager came to my aunt's house and sat with us - explaining the company's mission and philosophy. We were pleased to hire Faith Care - The caregiver they provided was incredible - personable, not under foot but completely attentive to their needs - responsible - the house was the cleanest it's been in a long time, the meals were healthy and prepared with care, reminders for medications were timely, hygiene improved dramatically....I recommend them with the highest confidence.
