I also filled out a PHI with my insurance company then I was told I needed to fill out a ROI, which I ended up doing with no problem. Long story short, I had to get an attorney involved just to get my medical records. The whole process took over a month, hours of my time and I ended up getting overcharged for them, I just wanted to be done with this company so I didn't bother mentioning that. A few months later, I needed to contact Reflections regarding an issue with my FSA account and came to find out my phone number was BLOCKED!

An interestig thing happened when I sought VA assistance with a claim process recently. I contacted…read morethe VA SO throught the 1-800 number and scheduled a telephone appointment. I received a call at the time I requested, and went over my claim with the "rep. I asked for his name and he provided it. A couple of weeks later I received claim paperwork from the VA office in Michigan and I needed to discuss some things with the Newington VA SO that I spoke to earlier. When I called the 1-800 number I was told that they couldn't direct me to the person I was looking for so I called the Newington VA and I was initially told that the Person I was looking to speak to didn't work there. I was then given a number to call and told that I would have to leave a message because no one was going to answer directly. I did exactly that. I never received a call back (I had mentioned in the message that the person I purportedly had dealt with didn't work there and I was curious about that) . The next time I called, the number was not in service. I googled the name of the particular ghost I talked to originally and found out that he hadn't worked for the VA in two years! If there is a conspiracy mixed up in all this, I'm not sure what that is, but it was obvious that that office did want to talk to me. I needed the the help of that office and I was stonewalled time and again. I'm more than a little curious now.

I met with Dr. Khalique one time. Well when I first contacted her office to set up my initial apt,…read moreit was great. Her secretary was very amicable, etc. so my apt was set for the following week at 3:30. I got there at 3:25 and was informed the secretary had to run out for an errand which was fine because I completely understand life happens. My apt started at 3:55 and its supposed to run from 30-45 minutes per their office. But as soon as 4:30 arrived I left rushed out because the Dr had another apt with a veteran client. Then, I contact the office by ph to discuss medication, the secretary was very rude and seemed annoyed when I mentioned the delay in my first apt. She made me feel stupid like I didn't understand this is a psychiatric matter. Then I go to my second apt because I fig maybe that was just a one time deal and the secretary maybe was just having a bad day. This apt was set for 4:30. I checked in 4:20, time went by and next thing it was 4:55 and no one in sight. I had a another apt set at 6 pm and couldn't be late. I left without saying anything as there was no one in the front desk which I poked my head through the window a few times and the Dr was with another patient, most likely a veteran. I called their office and explained why I left. I was told that that is just the way the practice works which is totally incorrect as I have seined other psychiatrist and they have been punctual every time. So beware, if you decide to be come a new patient. Be prepared to be later and put in the bottom of the barrel until you serve your time.

With guidance from Liz, I've been able to piece together the massive puzzle that is the concept of mental health as a whole, and understand myself. Extremely trauma informed with a wonderful sense of advocacy and communicative and collaborative with other healthcare providers to recognize patterns of behavior and symptoms. The service was so bad and rude that I didn't even make it to the first appointment. First, a long…read morewait on hold to schedule. Then, the person makes a tentative appointment and says someone will call to get the insurance information and confirm. So I asked what if nobody calls. She said don't worry because they don't charge for missed appointments. I found that to be unusually good service so I confirmed it. She said that she knows other places do that, but they don't do it there. Then, days went by and nobody called. Then suddenly I received a text saying I had an appointment the next day, and to reply to confirm, and that if I miss my appointment, I'll be charged! This was so rude! And the opposite of what the person I talked to said. So I texted back saying that I don't have an appointment. I received a response saying they don't receive incoming texts! So they texted me asking for a response, but they don't receive responses! So I had to call to cancel the appointment that I didn't have! Then another long wait on hold. Then the person told me they do charge for missed appointments, and the previous representative gave me incorrect information. So I asked who the person was who scheduled an appointment that I didn't make, and gave me incorrect information. She said they don't know who she was. They don't have records of that! Then she kept asking me if I want to keep my appointment, after I repeatedly told her that I don't have one, and can't come at that time. She kept repeating the same question. Finally I hung up. Giovanna, the "holds it all together person," is very competent and attentive to the details of the entire operation. The therapists - Brian, Glen and Jamie are professional, friendly and have good senses of humor. As a result, I have looked forward to my sessions and did not feel in any way that they were a chore I had to endure. I have never been able to describe therapy as fun, but that is what my sessions were. I have benefited tremendously from their treatments. I improved, not only in original script for treatment, but additionally am enjoying the benefits of the unexpected improvements. I introduced to different therapy modalities I had not experienced before and was impressed at their creativity in the challenges they used to keep me progressing well without being subjected to challenges they didn't think I could handle.
