I needed 1-36 " filler and 1-18" filler, the person at the cabinet desk ordered 3-30" fillers and 2- 8' fillers what they were for is beyond me. 2 of the 30" fillers were cherry and the other 3 were oak, my cabinets are oak. I ordered 2 pieces of trim for the bottom edge of the upper cabinets, i did not get them they had to be reordered and then they charged me 500.00 for the 2 pieces. I had to wait another 5 weeks to get the trim. When I went to install the trim I found 1 of the upper cabinets was out of square. I had to use a car jack to square it up. Absolutely the worst cabinets I have ever installed and the worst cabinet person. (I am a builder, Master plumber, Heating contractor and Boiler contractor, I have been in the construction trades for 43 years)

When I asked the driver - Bill - if he ever saw their trucks damage a driveway, he said "rarely" and that we should not have a problem. Live and learn. They DID damage the driveway, and I had no recourse with them, or my insurance company. Dishonest at best, and very arrogant management staff. No consideration or even an apology. They covered themselves and that's all that mattered.

Then I received an email saying 8-1. They showed up at 1:15. I just got out of the hospital and needed my son to assist me at medical appointments. I called them twice during the day to just be told they are out for delivery. When the driver finally showed up he tells me was to be here early but his equipment got stuck in the mud. Extremely poor customer service. That information soul's be relayed to the customer. My son could have provided assistance to me at my medical appointments instead of waiting around from 8-1. The managers could have cared less. They just lost a long time customer who just spent almost 3k on this order.

Back to Home Depot, what were we thinking to want to save money, not worth the aggravation.

Although Sam rectified that situation, I realized about a month later that the crew wasn't coming out during my scheduled lawn care days. I went inside and met Brandon he showed me their granite selection, they had fewer choices but they had a sample that looked almost identical to the one we wanted. Brandon said I would be happily surprised by their quote. I sent them our dimensions and boy was he right. They offered a much more affordable price. Needless to say we placed our order, the gentleman came out and measured the space. Within days they were giving us an installation date. Ryan and Austin called and were here within half an hour. They brought in the granite, drilled a couple holes for faucet and garbage disposal button and installed each countertop. We needed a couple pieces throughout our kitchen, they did a great job making sure the process went smoothly and without making a mess. They made everything was cleaned and installed properly. We are thrilled and will highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tile, granite or other stone work.

We had cracked grout and floating tiles within a year, and we hired Ed to redo the floor of the powder room. We had difficulty obtaining unbroken tile in the correct dye lot, forcing us to reschedule numerous times. Ed was extremely responsive to our situation, and managed to get the work done quickly and beautifully. It was a real challenge, given the state of the floor, working around the cabinet, and a shortage of tile. I have literally never had a contractor respond so quickly to calls and texts, they showed up when they said they would, and even gave us a discount for using cash. I would not hesitate to recommend First Class Tile.

Please view my previous and current out of business photos. Previously in the past two years I have purchased deliveries of firewood as seen in my photos attached. This business also sold mulch, stones, rocks for landscaping residents with a delivery fee. The firewood delivery from 10/22/2022 was seasoned and burned very well in my family room fireplace with insert and adjustable heat blower fan. The salesman and owner was Joel and secretary Cindy very helpful on the phone and in person. (photo attached of business card) Driver Geoff was polite and efficient with the dump truck and my property with a charge for delivery of $40.00. The price of firewood was good and satisfied my need to burn in the Fall and Winter cold months in Michigan. Now when I called the office at the beginning of January to request a firewood delivery I heard a long recording with selections to different departments and then was never connected. Instead I left 3 messages and as of today I called and left My final message that I am no longer a happy customer. If they have moved to another location then SAY SO! If they have completely gone out of business then SAY SO or leave a sign message on the office doors out front! Lack of communication for 4 weeks to customers calling is very impolite! Our experience started off well. The showroom staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful during…read morethe selection process. Unfortunately, everything after that was frustrating. The installation process was long, disorganized, and full of unnecessary delays. The person who came out to measure forgot to template the riser for our basement bar, which immediately stalled the project. Later, (after one rescheduled install due to staffing issues), an installation crew refused to enter the house after being instructed to use the basement entrance in the back. They left without completing any work. That decision alone pushed our remodel back another two weeks and disrupted the schedules of our other contractors. When installers finally returned, it was around 5:00 p.m. just before the Fourth of July weekend. Instead of simply completing the job, they immediately started making excuses about why they couldn't install the riser and suggested another reschedule. Fortunately, my painter was there and called them out, making it clear there was no reason the work couldn't be completed. They ended up installing it, allowing the rest of the project to finally move forward. If you're coordinating a remodel with multiple contractors and working on a timeline, I would not recommend Hard Rock Stone Works. The lack of communication, poor project management, and repeated delays turned what should have been a straightforward installation into a frustrating experience.

Was informed by their customer service representatives that they do not need to show you more than…read moreone slab of a particular quartz as all quartz slabs are the same, their color and patterns are identical. This is not the case. Batches can vary significantly. You should always be able to select the exact slab you are purchasing. Also told that for standard granites they will not move slabs for selection. The fabricator orders the stone by name only and their customer, meaning you, is unable to select one piece from another. This again is not the way one shops for countertops. There are other warehouses that actually offer more ambitious customer service. On the whole a rude lazy bunch.

Have been in multiple times and they were always helpful/honest…read more Picking the right material granite/marble/ quartzite/quartz is fun and stressful! Its nice to have a wholesaler that still treats you like a direct customer. Slabs were labeled appropriately. Sounds silly, but many suppliers mislabel materials. Example: Soft quartzite is not a typical quartzite. Quartzite is harder than granite. Soft quartzite is almost a marble. Many suppliers do not bother to distinguish the two. This is a big red flag because most fabricators will say something like "we just go off what the supplier says". That is also a warning sign against that fabricator. There are simple tests to determine Mohs(hardness). Universal was willing to move slabs so we could pick the one we wanted. The other local wholesale entity won't do that unless you first pay them. (See my review on them for details) Universal also said they would call us if a reserved piece we wanted opened up. I didn't expect to get a call, but... they did end up calling... and they did win our $business$. I recommend Universal. I also recommend doing your homework on natural stone. I found that after a few of travelling to different vendors, asking pointed questions, and fact checking... stone sales people often don't know anything but the lines they are taught. They start talking about parties and wine... sales pitch. They start talking about calcite content or mohs... informed seller. Good luck and have fun!!
