My contractor specified that we wanted "premium" boards - but the sales guy at John's told him that "premium" was just a marketing gimmick. When I called he gave me the same excuse. When I asked about the #2 & #1 stamps on the boards - he just reiterated his stance. I then called Fingerle Lumber and asked about pressure treated premium boards - they gave me the real scoop and I ordered new boards from Fingerle. They are beautiful, and almost knot free. They are also stamped "premium". We returned the sad boards to John's. Why 2 stars? Maybe the sales guy was just uneducated or new- benefit of the doubt.
