We constantly have problems getting our propane tank filled; either they "don't have the correct fitting" or they "can't fill tanks with no legible date" or they overfill it ( either out of ignorance or to be butts) causing our machine that we use this tank for to malfunction. Get it together people! We hate coming here, it's always a feeling of dread when we run out of propane and we wonder what lame excuse to not assist us are they gonna give us this time?? The only reason we keep returning to tractor supply is because of the prices.

The can may have been defective. The paint spurted out splotchy, bad valve I suppose, I informed them. Zero reply. Zero reaction. I asked if they were interested, perhaps it was a defective can, bad lot. They replied, "Well I don't know." Of course, I replied, "I do know. It came out in splotches... do you care?" "Oh." I found exactly what I was looking for (something for pet hair). I told the guy who pointed me to where the sweepers were that I would take that one. He took the one of the shelf. When I said "oh, it doesn't come in a box" and he said, "we always put one together so you don't have to when you get home". How cool is that. I didn't have to deal with reading instructions, recycling the cardboard box, etc. I rolled my new sweeper out the door, drove home, and the vacuum (a Hoover) worked like a charm. I've also had the same experience there with my dehumidifier and a refrigerator. Easy shopping, stress free (no pushy sales people), and supporting small business!

Adams Hardware is my one stop shop for all of my plumbing, electrical, hand tool, power tool, lawn…read moreand garden, cleaning, grilling .....  The list could go on forever.  When I walk in, they greet me at the door, ask if they can help me , and show me where the item is.  And they have a store cat that normally sits up by the register keeping tab on the comings & goings of everyone walking through the door. I never feel stupid asking them questions or bringing in an empty box, like I did yesterday, looking for a filter for my humidifier. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. Small town hardware stores have had it rough in the recent years, but I hope Adams will be here for a long time. We need places like this that take care of their customers and their community.
