Once he "thought" he knew what was wrong, we agreed to the $250 diagnostic charge to investigate further and "find" the real problem. At first it was a faulty switch, then it was a leak, then we needed 10lbs of refrigerant...everytime he went out and came back in, there was something else wrong. Charlie was pressuring us into buying a new unit...we said no, just do what you need to get it working today. The repairs would cost about $4000. I felt like he was more of a salesman than a repair man. We told him not to do any repairs and leave. We then called a small locally owned company to ask for a second opinion. There was no leak, it did not need refrigerant, and was a quick and easy fix. The inside was full of grass clippings, causing the unit to shut-down as a safety feature. All it needed was to be cleaned, and it did not cost anywhere near $4000.

They came and verified it was not leaking and tested our entire HVAC system to ensure everything was up to speed. Not only did they provide us with excellent service and superb communication about our multi-zone HVAC system, they did not charge us for the follow-up visit. Truly amazing! We highly recommend them and they will be the only HVAC company we will use in the future! Tom and Vickie G. Kansas City

I highly recommend Air Unlimited. My experience with owner Sal and his company exceeded my…read moreexpectations in terms of price, service and a company really looking for a long-term relationship with their customers. This means treating you like a valued customer. I purchased a high-quality Amana system, Sal's crew are very technically competent, their installations are very impressive and they found and corrected problems with the original plumbing. Sal listened to my concerns and was very responsive, submitted all energy paperwork to my utility companies for discounts, and followed-up to ensure I was happy with the job. I phoned him to check on a few items and he was at my house immediately. Air Unlimited is bonafide authentic - you will find no better proprietor for your heating and cooling needs.

And any additional cost for parts, or additional service, would be communicated. AC guy showed up, looked at my AC for about 30 minutes and came up to tell me to change the filter and the problem would be fixed. Charged me $210. I asked why 210 when told it would be 105. He said 105 is for the service call and the other 105 is for him to be there. What? He didn't do anything. Granted my air filter does need to be changed, and I was aware of that, but thought there might be an actual problem. Not sure why the cost would double. Called to question this and the rep said she would call me back. Have yet to receive a response on that. Sure won't be using this company again, feels like I was scammed.

I scheduled a furnace tune-up and duct cleaning for my newly purchased home. I had several questions about the duct cleaning and each time I reached out to Jill in email, text and by phone, she always replied within a reasonable time - sometimes immediately. She was very patient and accommodating with everything. The day of the appointment, they walked me through the entire process and explained everything - even the furnace tune-up. Tim explained that despite the age of the unit, it was in good condition. He also offered simple ways to extend the life of the furnace and other little things I could do to save money on the HVAC system as a whole. And when he discovered that one of my ducts had fallen loose under the floor, he pulled it back up and secured it with some screws. After the duct cleaning, Tim offered to show me what they vacuumed out of the ducts. It was just a lot of dust. I had previously stated I expected to have them cleaned every 5 years but based on what we found, Tim indicated that I would likely be able to go longer than 5 years. This was such an awesome experience. Everyone was friendly, respectful and just overall mind-blowingly great! And they are transparent about pricing so there were no surprise charges! I truly can't say enough positive things about 1st Priority Heating and Cooling. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any HVAC needs. #faith in humanity restored!
