Jeremy was at our house in less than 45 mins (he lives in Independence and we are in Olathe). Had it fixed in no time. All this is on a day that was their anniversary & had dinner plans that evening. Got the bill today & I was stunned at how VERY reasonably priced it was. I think had we gone with a bigger company we would have paid probably 4 x's what he charged us. Especially being a weekend. THANK YOU so much for coming to us so quickly and getting us back up & running in no time.

We were a customer of 13 years and had a good run with Absolute Comfort. We prefer to support…read morefamily-owned businesses and Absolute Comfort came more than once after hours when we lost AC. We bought both furnace and AC units from them, and they had never steered us wrong. Last summer we bought a new AC unit based on Alec's suggestion and at the time found him to be honest & knowledgable in the process. Alec also suggested Lennox's new iHarmony zoning thermostat of which now after researching we paid way too much (we were charged $3K+ and it costs approximately $387 online). After installation we returned home from being out of town to an above 80-degree house to later learn the new thermostat had been programmed wrong upon installation. They did come right away on a weekend & made some temporary changes to get the house cooled down. The heat continued for days after that. Alec couldn't figure it out and turned it over to Ronnie. Ronnie tried to fix it (meanwhile we were still battling the July heat) and told us to stay in touch via phone. That was the last time a text or call was answered and were unwilling to call Lennox support to fix the problem. We finally had to go through a painful 1+ hour support call ourselves to learn the zones had not been set up correctly upon installation. Correcting the thermostat fixed the problem immediately. Never heard from Absolute Comfort again, and we chose not to pursue any longer. We felt like taking our money was priority this time around, not customer satisfaction. That was a dealbreaker for us.

The young tech said I was low on freon by at least three pounds $175/pound to replace. He concluded by saying the unit that was sold to me 7-8 years ago was old and bad and would need to be replaced. Collecting $69 and leaving the house so we could decide how to proceed. Thankfully a friend urged me to get a second opinion with Richie. Richie came out to my house in later that day. His inspection? Well the unit was just a little low in refrigerant. The unit was fine. He took approximately 45 minutes to clean the unit outside as it was moderately dirty and hadn't been cleaned in over a year. He said the unit was fine. He wanted to see how the unit it performed (it's doing great!), he would be back in a couple of days to reevaluate and top off the refrigerant. He said if anything he could make any needed repairs and most likely there is still a manufacturers warranty still in place which he could find by running the serial number. Richie was a blessing!
