We'd stop on the way to the Lake of the Ozarks and just blow through money to put on a show for the family. Times changed and honestly I lost all interest... until my neighbors invited us over to play with their kids and some smaller fireworks last year. We determined we had to get at least some this year, and this was the highest rated spot on Yelp. It delivered! We weren't looking for much as I have two young kids; smoke bombs, parachutes, poppers, sparklers, and my oldest really wanted those flaming hens that lay eggs. We were in luck on a humid summer night before the 4th, finding everything we needed. I can't say the value was there.. these kind of tents are notorious for being overly inflated, even in more normal times. However, we don't do this often so whatever, we're paying for some fun entertainment for a night or two. Staff was very friendly, complimenting my daughter's dress and chatting her up. The look on my kiddo's face made it worth parting with $50-100, and I'd probably go the extra few miles out of the way to return next year.

They sell golden showers, sparklers, any size of bottle rocket you could need, flaming chickens, Black Cats, M-80s, Angry Bees, blooming flowers, UFOs, mortar shells, etc. I came here with my brother, and we got an assortment of all the fireworks he could carry, many looking wildly dangerous, with some strangely named after Civil War battles. My brother is a huge firework pyromaniac, and it was like taking a kid to the candy store. He couldn't wait to start blowing things up. However, the local cops aren't cool with you shooting them off where ever, especially in dry season. They don't care if it's Arbor Day or not. The cops may have been right, and my brother may have possibly ended up starting a prairie grass fire, and may have burned down a couple of trees on Arbor Day. We ended up getting chased out of both Missouri and Kansas by the cops with all the fireworks we got here. That's not Pyro City's fault. At least we didn't get any tickets from the authorities for blowing up so much stuff, and nobody got hurt. Thanks Pyro City! You helped out these pyros. The service was friendly and they always were trying to upsell us on our purchases. Tell 'em what you like, and they'll show off the latest in pyrotechnical advances.
