Dr. Alexis is absolutely amazing and is a wonderful podiatrist and naturopath!…read more I saw her for an issue with my feet. I appreciated her thorough analysis of my body from head to toe, and telling me how it effects my walking, etc. She was able to successfully diagnose my issue, and helped me come up with a plan to get better. She was also able to fit me for some custom orthotics. I appreciated that Dr. Alexis really took her time with me as a patient and did not make me feel rushed and was very thorough. She is very knowledgeable, attentive, and is overall a friendly physician with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Alexis for podiatry and overall care! She is a gem to Seattle! Thank you, Dr. Alexis, for everything!

I'm committed to happy feet!…read more Those were the first words I spoke to Dr. Alexis. I had been suffering for months with foot pain that was changing how I stood and walked. I went to Dr. Alexis for what I thought was a wort that wouldn't go away. Everything I did too self treat wouldn't make the wart go away. After four months of pain and discomfort (missing dance classes and workouts), I finally broke down and booked an appointment. The office was clean and followed Covid-19 protocols keeping herself and her clients safe. Dr. Alexis is very knowledgeable. She asked meaningful questions and listened attentively to my experience. She then gently examined the area and helped me understand the root cause of my condition! She was thoughtful with answering my questions and got consent for each layer of treatment she provided. I left her office in less pain, and equipped with tools to support my ongoing foot health. I have gone back one additional time, with some of my shoes and Dr. Alexis educated me and gave me tools to have foot comfort with each pair! I feel supported and empowered on my foot healing journey! Dr. Alexis is the ideal person to have on your foot wellness team!! Highly recommended!!! Book your appointment today!!

I'm sharing this experience because it doesn't align with this clinic's otherwise positive reviews…read more Before my ultrasound results were available, I explained that I had a new insurance deductible and asked if there was a workaround: if the results were unremarkable, could I avoid a visit altogether and only come in (or do telehealth) if follow-up or referral was actually needed. I was clear that I was willing to schedule a visit if there was a concern. That request was never addressed. When I later shared that the interaction felt unhelpful, the response was multiple phone calls in a row. During that call, I was told only that results must be reviewed as an appointment, with no discussion of alternatives. Even a basic confirmation of whether results were unremarkable was framed as requiring a billable visit--an approach that appears inconsistent with Washington State billing guidance distinguishing administrative acknowledgment of normal results from billable clinical services. I expect the office may respond by citing "policy," and they're welcome to do so. But this ultimately comes down to nuance: how policy is applied in practice, and whether any effort is made to accommodate reasonable, cost-conscious patient requests raised in advance. If you value billing transparency and patient-centered flexibility, this may not be the right office for you. **Notes based off the offices response; I want to make it very clear that I attempted a collaborative conversation, and at no point was I met with one. I asked in writing whether a visit could be avoided if no follow-up was needed. That question wasn't addressed; the only response was that results must be reviewed in an appointment. That's the disconnect I was trying to describe. I understand that providing clinical interpretation is billable; however, my request was limited to whether the already-interpreted results were unremarkable and whether follow-up was needed. I was met with a refusal to communicate without a visit--which is the distinction I was trying to raise.

He is smart, competent, thorough, kind and patient. He performed the surgery with confidence and care. In every visit (and one call) he was calm, knowledgeable and spoke with conviction. All bases were covered and I am healing well. Overall a great experience with him and I highly recommend him. Cheyenne, his medical assistant also was supportive through the visits with help and friendliness. The administrative team tended to be moody, but the great experience with Dr. Schwanke totally negated any concerns with them (which I shared with the doctor privately). Again, I highly recommend Dr. Schwanke.

Dr. Huppin is now the 3rd podiatrist (at different clinics) whom I have seen for this, and my impression was that he is by far the most knowledgeable I've met so far. He explained the physiology of nails and nail growth in detail, which none of the prior podiatrists ever did. He seems to be very familiar with all the data out there about all the various treatment methods, and I felt that he gave a blunt, realistic assessment. If you think about it, podiatrists have to deal with pretty diverse issues. Understanding how to treat fungus must be a very different domain of knowledge than how to fix foot bone problems or whatever. It's possible that a podiatrist is very good at some aspect of podiatry and not as good at others.

He did a different angle of x-ray to finally diagnose what was going on with my foot to cause arthritis. He's also done some nail procedures on me. All excellent, fast, efficient. They even accommodated me when I scheduled the wrong type of appointment. A+++ gold stars for Dr. Hale! Also, he's pretty fun to talk to!

They took this trip out of town because my family member wasn't achieving effective results, guidance or follow up with the surgeon in her area. She also regularly receives specialty care at UW but again, wanted to see Hubert Lee because his reviews painted him in a wonderful light. He was such the polar opposite of his reviews that, in their words, they 'felt like they got catfished by a doctor'. They were early for their appointment, my niece is an advocate for her senior citizen mother, they were polite and Hubert Lee's body language and choice of words spoke to both my senior citizen family member and RN daughter like they were completely wasting his time, acted as if they were weird for going out of their town for care which is common practice and the reason people pay high prices for flexible insurance. DPM Hubert Lee rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed, stared outside the window on multiple occasions not listening while my elderly family member was speaking to him, tapped his feet in annoyance and seemed annoyed by everything. Their words 'the entire visit from entry to exit was as if he couldn't get out of our visit fast enough'. Since so many of his other patients have had excellent experiences - this highly suggests he either discriminated against my senior citizen mother due to her age, was annoyed by them being female (sexism) or is racist. Or this man pays for some business promotion and PR firm that falsely inflates his positive reviews and ratings. They went on Mothers Day weekend hoping for a better experience as she's heartbroken with all the pain and loss of function in her feet. I can't imagine all his positive reviews are genuine and my healthcare provider family member said people should really stay away from someone that treats patients this poorly at all but especially in front of their own adult child. Hubert Lee either had the worst day of his life and has no self control or he deeply hates his job or specific types of people - none of this is a good sign

Dr. Lee magically fixed issues I had been trying to cure for many years, gave me useful suggestions for different footwear, house shoes, different way to tie my shoelaces, referred me to a special shoe store with directions on what to buy, stretches, ordered different orthotics that will address my ankle and foot rolling inwards. I had issues that have been bothering me for years and other podiatrists either gave me bad advice, no advice, or told me it's nothing, wrong orthotics, wrong/ ineffective medicine, and useless painful procedures. I am so glad I found Dr. Lee and feel so much better because of his amazing skill and knowledge. Please do yourself a big favor and go to him for your foot and ankle issues.
