Before I left I received a document signed by the physician that indeed the procedure was not done. BUT, imagine finding out that your insurance is billed $4500 for a complete colonoscopy with lesion removal and biopsy. The insurance company was notified immediately. Now that I have decided to see another physician, I called the office to have medical records faxed and the office is closed with no ability to leave a message. I drove by the office and in fact there is no one there. The office is closed for a month because they can't find a provider to complete the procedures!

Fast forward I upon referral from a general practitioner am referred back to this office for concern of possible enlarged prostate. Able to schedule an appointment relatively quick, I was surprised at that. On my scheduled appointment date. I'm seeing the same doctor I saw three years prior. He starts our visit with. "We never received your PSA results ". I responded my what? He states he requested a PSA test, wouldn't you think. If a doctor makes a request of a patient and the results never come in. That doctor would make contact with the patient? And now said doctor has retired and it's been over a month that I've been waiting for replacement doctor to receive a follow up appointment. This group isn't quick with replacement of retired doctors not communicating with patients with concerns of their health care.

I just spent three days in the hospital because the nurse practitioner there did not diagnose me correctly. So I called today to try to have a follow up appointment like I was told to and the secretary that answered the phone told me that even though the hospital tells me to follow up in two weeks it doesn't really matter that my doctor did not have an appointment till July. I tried to explain to her that I was told that I had to have a procedure done before that and she literally did not care. This is the problem with these corporations now they have young girls answering the phone with absolutely no medical training whatsoever and they really do not care about you. You're just a number calling the phone. Do not use them. I'm trying to find somebody else. Worst customer service ever had and I never ever ever have to go to the doctor. I'm very healthy. But this goes to show that they do not care about you and I have two insurances that pay in full and they do not care. She was totally happy when I said I will go somewhere else and literally hung up the phone on me. We are in the process of calling the patient care advocate now with the exact time and date of the phone call.

The hospital staff advised us correctly that he is a "man of few words." When we asked if there was another gastroenterologist we could call in for additional consultation, their response was that he was the only one on staff and maybe we should go to Manhattan or elsewhere. Dr. Rosenzweig answers your questions and volunteers little else in terms of information. In his office he is the same way. He did not inquire about any history (not even relevant medical history). He knew nothing of the patient's relevant medical issues even though this information had been given at the hospital and also in the required new patient paperwork in his office. His visit in the office lasted 6 minutes. His exam consisted of taking the height and weight of the patient and pressing on their abdomen. It ended with "see me in two weeks and we will see how you are doing" as he was heading to exit the office. Prior to the appointment, his office staff was rude and threatened to cancel the office appointment when the new patient paperwork was not received in advance. (You are not allowed to fill out paperwork a half hour before the appointment, but instead we had to drop it off several hours before the appointment - they seem to think that everyone owns a printer and fax machine.) A stressful situation was made worse by the staff and a provider that does not offer healthCARE. If you are in need of a gastroenterologist I would NOT recommend Dr. Rosenzweig.
