A bit too sour for our taste and did not do anything for us. A Paneer Chilly was not spicy at all and had some gravy but hardly any chillies and had red dried rather than the fresh green. A fried rice which was ok A Hakka Noodle, had equal amount of cabbage and noodles and were hard to distinguish between noodles and cabbage. This was the best dish amongst all A spicy mixed vegetables was again vegetables in a gravy. The quantity was way less than compared to other restaurants and priced in the high end. Everytime I went, I *always* made sure I ate here, and got my vegetable manchurian chowmein and paneer chili to go (my mom would KILL me if I didn't bring her any back!) Yes, ppl, its that good! After relocating to the US 3 years ago, I've been back in Toronto about 4 times now. Most recently, just this past sunday, and wow!! The food hasn't changed one bit! Same great quality, same great taste, and the owner always gives you impeccable service. Of course, as I got my takeout dishes to take home to my Mommy, and the owner even hooked us up with a shortcut route! Need I say more? He makes me miss home even more I wish I could eat here every day!

Tucked away in a plaza with a kfc, I would truly consider this a hidden gem. We have never gone wrong with ordering their chili chicken with extra gravy. It's saucy and hot and just punches the mouth with flavor. It can come in a combo with fried rice, but I highly recommend getting the chicken masala fried rice for an elevated experience. The manchurian beef is also a reliable choice. Finally, my favorite treat is the chili fried fish. The fillets are crispy on the outside, and so tender on the inside. The seasoning on the fish is just perfect. The prices are a bit high for takeout, but the portions are massive. We always have leftovers. Online ordering is also available - great for those afraid to call!

We ordered the Special Fried Chicken, Chilli Chicken (with gravy), Sweet & Sour Chicken, Manchurian Beef, as well as mixed Chow Mein and mixed Fried Rice. Wow! The food is moist, the chicken and beef pieces are tender, juicy, and flavourful. The rice and noodles were excellent. Portion sizes are huge and they don't skimp on meat or seasoning at all! What makes the flavour special is that it tastes much more AUTHENTIC and less commercial than other Hakka places. I could taste the East Asian influences and it was SPECTACULAR! This is my new favourite Hakka place. I'm going here ALL THE TIME now! 5 out of 5 stars!

After being seated, we noticed the waitress seemed very distracted (had airpods in). We had to make multiple attempts to get the waitress to take our order, and while ordering was asked multiple times to repeat our selves. I ordered the Chicken stir-fry noodles and left most of it uneaten. The ratio of noodle to chicken was disproportionate, which made it difficult to eat as the noodles were over-cooked and the chicken very salty. We were also not inform ahead of time that the bottles of water on the table were not free, so ended up having to pay. Overall a poor experience and likely won't be returning.

Mostly just green peas and carrots, but greasy for our preference. The Vegan Hakka Chowmein - again very good in taste and good amount of assorted veggies. Again too greasy. However as they travelled, the various pakoras soaked up much of the liquid gravy and they become very soggy. Sure the dine in experience will be better.

There is a small parking area beside the restaurant. We ordered three dishes to share. The food didn't all come out hot in temperature. Didn't like to over-paid for something that it's alright to do at 99% of the restaurants out there!!

The family favourite ended up being the veg pakora. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, with a nice little kick from the green sauce. The canto chow mein had everything: crispy noodles, umami sauce, assorted seafood, chicken, beef, and veg. The dried chili chicken was super crispy with a nice kick and the meat inside was so juicy. The crispy ginger beef was surprisingly better than we expected. It was crispy and tasted sweet which was so nicely balanced. Chili shrimp in the gravy was good but it was more gravy and not enough shrimp that I wouldn't reccomend this one, lol. Hakka chicken chow mein was just okay for us. The dish size and portions are pretty small. Each dish portion is enough only for just one person, but thankfully we just ordered enough to share and satisfy us. They gave us the take out menu to order from that was just a generic list of all their dishes. There were no descriptions or pictures for what's in each dish, which made it difficult for my in-laws to know what to order. The pakora was our fave dish, but had my BIL not ordered that, none us would have thought to order it simply cause we didn't know what it was. When my MIL asked in hakka what she suggests we try, we didnt get much and still had to depend on other reviews online to know what to order, lol. If you're looking for cheap and delicious takeout (wouldn't dine in again tbh) this is a good spot for a quick eat!
