I have been coming here ever since the owner closed his other location (on egerton near the western…read morefair) and the food has been consistently good with the quality never dropping. The only thing that has changed of course is the pricing but nothing is going to bring back pricing from the good old days. The service has also remained consistent. Over the years, I have tried many of the items on the menu and of course the lunch buffet. Lunch Buffet: Affordable, good selection....but at the end of the day its a buffet and for that reason each dish lacks quality. I do want to point out that this indian buffet compared to any other indian buffet in town offers alot more selection if you are vegetarian (not vegetarian but i have friends that are). Overall, If you are in downtown and are looking for a filling meal with affordable pricing check out the lunch buffet. Dinner: Now I love coming here for dinner and once you've had dinner here you can just tell the difference in quality that the dishes have compared to the ones on the buffet table at lunch. Starting with appetizers, I love the onion bhaji and mixed platter. My only request is to offer more sauces for the onion bhaji as most other Indian places do. Moving onto the entrees, it really depends what you are feeling that day whether its rice or bread and the type of curry that pairs with either or. What I always get and what they are known for are their Biryani and Tandoori items. It doesn't matter what type of Biryani you get but make sure you get it with a side of cucumber raita (yogurt). Same goes for the Tandoori items, it doesn't matter which grilled meat you get as long as you get a side of mint sauce with it to dip the freshly grilled meat in. Last but not least you can't forget their amazing naan bread, if your ordering off the Tandoori section the bread usually comes with the dish but if your ordering something else make sure you still get the naan bread! Finally dessert, now you can try their dessert but I've never been a fan of it. I usually end the meal off with a warm spiced tea or a cold mango lassi (yogurt smoothie). Conclusion: Overall fantastic Indian for London, great portion sizes and awesome service. Yes, It is pricey if you are going for dinner but you are also paying for the quality of the dish and it should satisfy your Indian food craving for awhile. The last thing I would like to say is never get delivery! If you are getting take out...pick it up yourself because delivery takes VERY long.

I was hoping for great Indian food while visiting London. The reviews were good, but I was…read moreunfortunately disappointed. When I arrived, the restaurant only had one patron yet it took longer than I would have expected to get seated. The lunch buffet contains some of the common dishes that you'll find at other Indian lunch buffets, like butter chicken. I thought the butter chicken was soupy. I tried the chick peas as well and I didn't think they were cooked well enough. The naan bread was also a little disappointing because it was too sweet. The one redeeming quality was that I thought that the meats (chicken and beef) were cooked perfectly. The meats were not overcooked nor undercooked. If I am in London again, I don't think I will be revisiting this restaurant.

We were in London for a few days and decided to check this place out…read more It's quite a small restaurant, with booths for seating. We were seated as soon as we arrived and they were already busy although it was only around 6pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress seemed a little overwhelmed, but she was very friendly and didn't keep us waiting for too long. We ordered a bottle of white wine, but were told they only had one bottle that was cold and it already had some out of it lol. She ended up giving us 2 glasses of wine as well as the bottle with only a tiny bit out of it for the same price though. We ordered onion bhajia, paneer butter masala, lamb vindaloo (they were out of lamb, so we got chicken instead), peas pulao and garlic naan. I can't say enough about how good the food was!!! We've had Indian food in many different countries and this was honestly among the best we've had. It was so delicious! The spice was just right, the food was piping hot and everything was plentiful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and we will most definitely be going back when we're in London again. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable!

Really disappointing visit. The food was very bad, and the service was worse…read more I paid by tap at the counter, but they didn't give me a receipt. After waiting about 30 minutes for my order, staff told me I still had to pay. When I explained that I'd already paid, they started yelling at me, and then talked among themselves in their own language and swore at me. I had Google Translate running on my phone, so I understood what they were saying. Being charged and then accused of not paying is unacceptable, and so is being yelled at and insulted by staff. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place.
