They offer coffee, tea, and water, there's a closet for your jacket in the waiting area. The area is never half full with plenty of seats and magazines on the table while you're waiting. When I went for my last eye exam, I didn't need to wait long for the pre-exam scans. I had to wait a few minutes in the other waiting area for the Doctor but there are lots of magazines to keep me entertained. The Doctor is friendly and personable and I don't feel rushed if I have questions to ask him about my eyes and products. He will show me my scan and let me know how it looks. He walks me out to the front where I pay for my exam. They direct bill to Blue Cross which is convenient. I haven't bought glasses here and I'm not sure how the prices compare to other places but they were busy when I was there and no one was available to show me frames right away. They have a sale now that's second frame free with a purchase of a full pair until the end of the year so I have time if I decide I want to buy glasses here.

Our visit was in regards to a sty .....wait for it.....that just won't die. We walked in on Halloween of all days and we're pleased to get an appointment quickly. The staff were all dressed up and gave the kids a great welcome as well as helping Momma set the appointment up with great care. We waited in a private sitting area that offered a wide variety of drinks, books and television for the clients. Once called into meet with the Doctor the staff helped wrangle the kid patient with their treats and smiles before the Dr. arrived moments later. We could not have been more pleased with our check up and left with an above average understanding of what we were dealing with and a progressive plan of how to deal with it. I admit I am little behind in getting the 4…read moreyear old to get her vision tested but in my defence, her paediatrician never made it seem that important. Anyway, the front desk staff are pleasant to deal with on the phone and in person. There are lots of chairs, books and some toys in the waiting area and some single cup coffee. The tech who took the initial measurements were wonderful with my girls (2 and 4 years old). The little one took a little longer because her attention span is much shorter but no problem, the tech was very patient and nice to my daughter. Dr. Dien is kind, patient and great with kids. My kids were not scared of her kind demeanour and she didn't rush them during the exam. Her equipment is new, clean and engaging for kids. She used shapes, letters and numbers, and a video with the girls during the exam and was constantly talking to them to keep them focused. I really loved the way she interacted with the girls. Sadly I have to take my daughter back for more testing but I like his clinic so much that I don't even mind. My only minor complaint was that there is a sign on the door to remove wet and muddy footwear, however the floor was actually quite dirty so socks would be filthy after walking around. It was a dry day today so we kept our shoes on. If the clinic would kindly clean their floors before requesting patients remove shoes.

Turns out my prescription from the vision gallery was off. She had given me a prescription for +2 in one eye. My prescription should have been +0.5. I was actually dangerous on the road to drive with my glasses and didn't even know!
