This place has been under new management for a while now (like 2 years). The name is NO LONGER…read moreLuscvianca and is now called ANA's. ALL of the previous girls left. Luchi no longer owns the salon. Pretty much all of the girls like Luchi, Arelis, Bianca and etc all work at Serenity Salon at 1600 S. Broad Street. Serenity Salon is smaller, but the vibe is better and the prices are a whole lot better. When I'm in town, I'll always follow Arelis. It's just my take. But I noticed a lot of negative reviews lately and thought I'd update everyone to let them know this is a completely different salon with a new owner and service. If you want the same historical service from years prior, you'll have to go to serenity salon.

I dont know if this is new management or what but this shop is not the same at all. I went there to…read moreget my hair dyed, get my ends clipped and to get my hair curled. upon arrival I let them know that I am severely allergic to PPD that's in the dye the first thing that the receptionist said was "it's still going to be the same price" I told her I didn't care about the price I just wanted to ensure that I didn't have an allergic reaction she offered me their organic dye I looked at the back of the ingredients and told her no thank you because I can't ensure that I won't have an allergic reaction. she claimed that she let the stylist know however whatever the stylist mixed the dye up with I still ended up having an allergic reaction my forhead has bumps on it my scalp is on fire from burning there is red sores throughout my head. I tried to wash my hair and put aloe oil on my scalp however this has been going on every since Friday 10/18 and today is 10/23 and I'm still experiencing burning and itching throughout my scalp.I spoke to an individual on 10/22/24 and let him know what happened and he said that's horrible he would inform the owner Ruth of what happened and because I had a bad experience see that I get my Money back. Well 10/23 I receive a phone call where that same receptionist is telling me that there is nothing that they will do because she did her job and told me that they couldn't guarantee the product will work. this is a dye that I always use and never had a reaction to. She said that "if I dye my hair on the regular than I will know that I have to use a peroxide developer " however if someone come in saying that they have an allergy to something before you decide to take the product in the back and start mixing things you should review the ingredients with the client instead of just mixing something together just because it says organic. I am a very understanding person and understand accidents happen but Not one time did her or the owner apologize for what happen not one time did they express any concern other than being in defense mode. This is very disheartening to know that I am experiencing a bad allergic reaction and the salon people that mixed my safe product with the product of their choice is showing no type of sympathy or providing any type of solution is very upsetting. They was better off acknowledging what happened apologizing and offering a solution and I would of been happy with that. I will now take progressive action.

Bad customer service and very dirty salon space. Did my hair horrible. Hair dressers behaved like…read morethey wanted to fight over unfinished work. Very unprofessional they do not even wash your hair before beginning

I found this place online and decided to check it out. I wish I could say good things about my…read moreexperience, but I just can't! Right from the beginning it was a disaster. Finding street parking was tough, the place was very small and smelled funny, and it was so cluttered with boxes and other things that there was barely enough room for people to sit. They only take walk-ins, so I arrived in the morning when it wasn't too busy; by the afternoon, the place was so uncomfortably crowded because they would tell anyone who showed up that they will take them even though all of the braiders were busy! It was messed up. As for my braids, they didn't turn out the way I wanted at all. I called ahead of time to see if they could do the style that I was looking for and even sent a picture. They said they could do it but clearly that was a lie based on the end result. And they are way more expensive than other places, which doesn't even make any sense. The young girl who braided most of my hair was a so bad...her technique was terrible, she was so slow, and she pulled way too tight! I kept telling her she was pulling too tight but she ignored me and kept doing her thing. Thankfully, there was another woman who took over for a little bit who was really good, but she was working on two other people, so she couldn't finish my hair. The style that I wanted should have only taken about 4 hours at most... 6 and 1/2 hours later, I was finished . And don't get me started on the gross bathroom . I don't think I'll go back there...it's not worth it!
