Came in for same day appointment haircut with June! Did a wonderful job and showed exactly where she wanted to cut it. Very accurate. Women's haircut was $18 plus tip. June is super sweet and the other staff member gave all the customers free hair scrunchies. Definitely will come back again! read more

I've been getting haircuts from this salon for more than six years. The high quality of work has always been so consistent. I usually book appointments w/ Vannah, but there have been times when she wasn't available so I had to work w/ other stylists--they still did great work. This place is an Antioch treasure. It is cheap. That is the only reason they get 2 stars. I went in to get my previously bleached hair lightened a bit more. And Helena left the bleach on FOR THREE HOURS. My hair was literally white and melted! It has been about a week and my hair is still breaking... I wasn't even seen until 45 mins PAST my appointment time! And then I was there for over 4 hours. I went in for Highlights it was my 1st time in 5-6 years since I had went to someone new, and prior to that I was with the same person for over 10 years. I am overly skeptical about going to a new person for color (any kind). A haircut will eventually grow out but color is more permanent/damaging. Helena did my highlights and she did a Splendid job! I have to admit I kind of ruined it for myself because I freaked out thinking my highlights were going to turn out to blonde and started taking off my own foil! SMH She knew what she was doing and I SHOULDN'T of interfered. Also wanted to mention what a nice lady she is very kind and well mannered and very professional. I am so glad I found her and have her daughter to "Thank" for that as well. read more

Just got my haircut by "Vanna" did a very good job was quite meticulous. She also apologized profusely for the wait (20min) but I didn't have an appointment so it was expected. She talked to me the entire time which was a nice change from other shops. A little about hairlines it's kind of an early 90's blast from the past but hey it's clean and cheap! $12 for a cut. Only downside CASH ONLY. Trying to keep it local as should everyone! read more

Been going here for the past two years since my regular barber moved away. I've had bad experiences at other salons, but this place is cool. They like to talk a lot which is cool since there aren't any awkward silences. The haircut themselves comes out good, but I'm just a guy with a simple do. I went to Helen to get a cut & color and was more than satified. It was $55!!! The color came out beautiful and the cut was great. I would recommend this place to anyone. They take walk-ins and tend to get busy on the weekends so I recommend making an appointment. They open early as well so you can make an early appointment and get it out of the way without wasting your whole day getting your hair done. Kim or Helen are both great with color. It may not be some high end, designer setting but you get the same service as other high priced salons without the high price. They're awesome for kids and mens cuts as well. read more

This is one of the more affordable hair salons around - $45.00 for a perm??? Unheard of anywhere else! My mother has been going to see Vanna for several years now and LOVES her. All of the girls in the shop do an awesome job, but they DO get very busy, especially on Fridays & Saturdays, so plan accordingly. read more

Whether you make an appointment or not, the wait time is 45 minutes to 1 hour. It's not bad time management that causes them to misquote your wait time or under deliver on their service, it's plain greed. They will try to get everyone in and have them wait, just to make a few extra bucks. read more

I am very fussy about haircuts. Why is it so hard to find a stylist who will listen and cut you hair the way you want it. I recently moved to Antioch so I needed a stylist close by. After trying three different salons I found Hairlines. Ask for Helena. She has given me the best haircuts. I also got the best perm I have had in a long time. read more

Both Helena and Kim are very good, I've used both of them. They do tend to run later than the appointment times they give you. I think the reason is because they overbook. Very nice gals, and really care about giving you the best service. Their prices are much more affordable than most of the salons out there. I use to pay about $50 or $60 Just for a haircut and blow-dry. Add Color, and your up to anywhere from $120 to $150!! The way they cut my hair is very different than what I was use to so I'm not getting the same exact "look" as I was use to. It's just different, but for the cost, it's well worth getting use to it. The hair "products" they use are very different than what I'm use to as well. I Can tell a difference in the Way my hair feels using theirs. Again, for the money, I can deal with it. Um hello? $12.00 hair cut? vs. $50.00 trim?? Super affordable, very kind workers, lovely service, FREE CANDY? love it, My father, my mother, my sister, and I have gone here for years! I'd have to say I've only had ONE bad experience here and that was my own fault for being so shy and not speaking up. I have pretty long hair to my mid torso and it was cut to my chin, that was in '08 though. I love love love it here! they even cut my hair just how i like it! in a "v" shape in the back. they work hard to make you happy and I'm very glad to come here. I feel welcomed every time. they have even taken me once a half hour before they closed and I was there until 745. extra tip for sure haha. my point is they are wonderful people there and will have my business forever! read more

I have been going to Hairlines since 1997 and have never thought to review it until now. They seem to have plenty of regular clients, but let me add my round of applause for their work. They are very professional, but relaxed and handle walk-in appointments easily as well as regular dye and highlights, etc. Both my husband and I go there and with our fussy attitudes about hair cuts, well, to find a place we can both like and be completely satisfied with is remarkable. read more

I am highly disappointed with the way I was treated today. Earlier in the day I made an app. with a time that Hairlines chose. I was happy to get one booked with Helena, whom I requested. When I got there it was 5 minutes prior to my app. time. Helena was no where near finished with her other client. There was a young woman sitting in the waiting room upon my arrival. When Helena finished with her client, cleaned up and finished talking on her cell phone she looked at me and said, "You can get your hair cut by anybody here." I told her, no that I made an appt. with her. She proceeded to take the young woman waiting and told me she was going to shampoo her hair first. It was already 15 min. past my appt. time! When Helena finally got to me, she was not friendly at all and was cutting my hair aggressively. I thought perhaps she had an attitude because I was not willing to get my hair cut by another stylist, but I had made an appt. specifically with Helena. She then proceeded to blow dry my hair along with a round metal brush that she kept scraping against my ear. I moved my head forward and told her that she didn't need to blow dry my hair. She said that she was almost done and continued to rough me up. This was not Helena's first time cutting my hair. I am a repeat customer and am confused as to why Helena chose to behave in this manner. Needless to say, I chose not to give her a tip because she did not deserve one and I am contemplating doing my business else where. I forgot to mention that there were no apologies extended to me for the wait time. Very, very disappointed. Shame on you Helena. :( read more

I've been getting my hair cut at Hairlines for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately I tried out a different salon in Antioch in July 2013 which was a mistake because my hair was cut more than I would have liked. I have REALLY long hair and always want just a basic trim keeping my length. So I grew out my hair for one whole year, no haircuts in between. I finally went back to Hairlines yesterday and am absolutely satisified. Helena usually cuts my hair, but I don't remember the girls name who cut it yesterday. But she's great. As all the ladies are there. Its a local salon, literally a 5 minute drive from my home. Very affordable and I was in and out in 30 minutes. As others have said, it may not be a high end salon but conveniently close to home for me and affordable with a cut I'm happy with. Do not judge a book by it's cover. To those who gave negative reviews, we're all human and have bad days. You don't know how stressful the employees day might have been if they were grumpy that day. Everyone has a bad day every now and then. This salon and it's employees are not as bad as others have said. read more
