ive been here before and it was just as good as the first time I like how my hair turned out really but the time and customer service, it said my hair would take about 6 hours on the website i was there for 10 hours and hair was still unfinished I had to go to work. that isnt rlly there fault what ever but I can tell my hair wasnt top priority considering I had one of the most time consuming hairstyles, one of the employees had to be told to start helping with my hair while she was just sitting in front my unfinished hair..... and i can tell she didn't want to she had such a nasty attitude she thought wasn't noticed, I didn't even want her helping after I saw how she didnt even know how to do boho, i paid for more than one pack in my head why are you not gonna put them all in the back but ok??? like she was so condescending too. I shouldnt have even paid full price for a hairstyle that wasnt even done really disappointed for me not standing up for myself more. read more

Recently moved to Northern California from NYC, and let me tell you, it has been HARD to find excellent braiders that are as skilled as my West African aunties and who do not over-inflate the prices. I'm so tired of these braiders using gel and half of pack of hair but charging over $400, what is going on? Anyways, I'm so happy I found this shop on Instagram! Save your money -- I don't recommend. I went to get my hair done, and while it looked okay at first, it wasn't what I wanted. I decided to let it go, but later noticed some of my hair was coming out and a few braids were messed up. When I reached out, I was told it could be fixed, but after a lot of back and forth, delays, and no communication, I got fed up and stopped trying. It's very unprofessional and frustrating to pay so much money and still end up with bad service. Lesson learned -- I won't be booking here again or recommending this place. read more

I've been going to Kady for years and will keep coming back. Today my stylist was Astou and she did amazing! I got a boho bob with much less boho because I find that works better for me, she was fast and very kind. I can be a little bossy because I have a particular way I like it done and she was so sweet about it, everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier with this result. Also I like to add I asked for boho with layered braids because it looks more natural and I cut more of the boho peices when I got howm to tailor it to my face , I LOVE IT read more

My appointment was Friday Appointment 10th@ 8am. it was really refreshing that my braider Aimee was there before 8am and started promptly when I walked through the door. No stopping to eat or talk on the phone. very professional. The only negative is I think prices ate a little steep for small twist . I got my hair done by TT at Kari's shop the exact date was June 2 at 8AM & she got done at exactly 2:35PM this hairstyle lasted until The end of August coming into September I was shocked but don't leave your hair in that long like I did lol It was worth it & I recommended my mom to come to the shop & this is my new shop since my African braider in SF retired & passed on. The ladies do good work.. the problem is they're not allowed to talk to the customers, (I witnessed the owner reprimand an employee for talking to a customer) so they talk amongst themselves in French. As a customer it's very off putting. I don't know if they're talking about me or not, and the customer is left sitting in silence for the duration of their appointment while they chat and laugh. I absolutely loved my hair but I have sought out other Braiders I need a connection with the person who is caring for my hair. The energy of the person is important and you only get that by talking to a person. read more

TWO DAYS.I was very excited to get my hair done. When I first came into the salon . The people except Nay was rude. However, since it was my first time there they gave me a rookie braider. My hair was 275.00 I was refunded 140. within two days I had two braids come out. I tried to reschedule. I came in 20 mins late. To do the whole back since they are coming out. Then. They tried to flip it well you are 20 mins late. Lol I don't need a whole schedule appointment. I need was about 8 knotless braids bob length. They were stuck on the fact that I was 20 mins late. Well actually initially I had to wait 25-30 mins for me to get my hair done. Waste of time and money. I do not recommend this place. The nice braids from the website are not recent. I enjoyed my hairstyle so much but for you to dwell on 20mjns meanwhile my hair is falling apart after two days is insane. After reading reviews I know I'm not the only one. Kadi claimed my hair was too soft and needed to be longer that's why the braids are coming out. They refused to give me a new braider. Nay was my braider sweet gal. She probably 16years. As you can see the owner not taking accountability. I enjoyed Nay but I can tell she's fairly new. I will not come back. I wanted to love this place. Update : I was not refunded the whole amount she claims. All I wanted was a redo do with knotless that's all. Sad part the owner claim I demanded the tips back but that's should have come out of her pockets. Not Nays. You have several shops why would you do that to your braiders. I have been going to this braid shop for years. Over time it has been on a downward spiral. I customer service is horrible. I made an appointment for Friday evening, one hour before my appointment I received a text telling me that my appointment was canceled. I tried calling, I evening responded to the text message and no one answered. I had to call the next day inquiring about my appointment. There was no availability. I requested my refund and never even received an apology. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

A couple suggestions: 1. Use a secretary or someone who has time to return emails or phone calls to potential customers. 2. Immediately offer a refund of the customer's deposit when attempts to reach the business were made but did not get received by the business. I'm still waiting on someone to answer the questions I left via email and text. Poor communication makes it difficult for people to return. read more

Lemonade braids done by Solange. When I met Solange she had a beautiful smile and she is so kind. The amount of time it took to complete my hair was 4 hrs. just like it was stated on the web when I booked the appointment. I like the way she styled my braids. Extremely upset about this re-twist . My husband took our son to get his red hair re-twisted for school pictures and instead of them saying that they were unable to do it. This is what they did and then say that they couldn't do it because we needed a Loctician because his hair is so thick. If you couldn't do it at the beginning where you shouldn't just say that in the first place. Now I have to find somebody to probably do his hair and pay more money.
