She definitely had a good eye of what to do and not do and overall listened very well to what I wanted (( for those of you wondering, I currently shave the sides of my head and let the top go long with some layers. Easier said than done )). The inside was lovely, too! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it has a nice atmosphere once you step on in. You really don't notice you're right next to a busy street once you're there. I didn't get a chance to see what type of products they sell - as most hair places do - but whatever was used in my hair was great, and my hair is wicked picky with what I can and cannot put into it. My only complaint and it really has nothing to do with the salon, is the parking. I was adventurist and took a bit of a drive to find some decent parking. If you're coming off 495 south and headed to the place in that direction, there's a one way street to the right just before you reach the place, and that will lead you to some free parking spaces, though they're only for 2 hours. Also like, a minute walk to the place if you park back there, but just a little tip for people who are heading over there. I will definitely be making plans to come visit this place again, though!

I wish I had time to get some fun color put in, but I'll be sure to remember to make time for it during my next appointment. Last year, Kat put highlights in my hair - they looked natural but fun. She also did my hair for a wedding, which came out gorgeous. Kat has been doing my hair for 5 years, and I'll honestly be a lifetime customer. This was my first time at Pelo. As usual, I waited until the last minute before calling, but there was an opening that same day. The salon itself is very beautiful and inviting - not intimidating like some can be. I really like how its broken up into rooms so you don't feel like your on display. The lighting is also not harsh, which is something I've never seen at a salon. It was nice not being blinded by lights while getting my hair washed. Anyway, the way its broken up into different sections really makes it feel like a one-on-one with a friend. Everyone there was really nice and the owner had just given them all Mother's Day presents, which were made by another local mom with a craft business. This was so thoughtful and heartening. They are very open about prices, which are very modest as well. I'm so happy for Kat and finding my new favorite salon!
