Very modern and comfortable, elegant lighting, flooring, nice music and it's very very clean! Everyone is so friendly & professional, always greets you with a smile and makes you feel. Comfortable. Jessica listened to me and was able to transform my badly damaged hair, from a prior salon, into beautiful soft and manageable hair. I absolutely love how she cuts, colors and styles. Her assistant, Amber is very knowledgeable about the products and does a great job assisting. I've never been to a more organized salon. I am so happy that I found this place. Such a warm personality and it was just what I needed because I was sooo nervous to get my hair done. Anything involving haircuts, doctors appts or dental work - I get extremely nervous. Tessa took the time to go over what I wanted and even went as far as to show me a color swatch of what our goal was. She colored it to perfection - the cut was exactly what I asked for, even better & when she blew it out I was in LOVE - she even curled it nice for me. Which is perfect because I have a date tonight with my boyfriend. I'm literally so happy with it. Thank you so much Tessa - I can't wait to come see you again!

We all love to experiment with our hair, and whether it's long hair or short, curly or straight, or putting a new funky color in (which I love to do), they aim to please. I normally ask for Kiaya, but have also used Wendy and Christine on a couple of occasions. We have also used them several times for wedding hair and makeup and they have never let us down...and we have ALWAYS had big wedding parties. Lastly, since coming to Capella, I have donated hair three times and my girls have each donated twice, and Kiaya has been more than happy to measure out and cut the ponytails so that I can send them away for wigs to be made. My sisters, mother, sister-in-law, and aunt all frequent this salon, and we all cannot say enough good things about this place! :)

However, with the addition of her newest employees, it is now a much less pleasurable experience. Her newest is quite loud and VERY vulgar. The "guests" of the other employees are rude and speak badly about customers, again loudly for all to hear. I know that with most private salons "guests" are typical, but I have never seen them act inappropriately. It has become a much less peaceful and pleasurable environment. If you do go, seek out Lora because she is fantastic. But don't expect a relaxing experience.

The techs either rush or their service/technique is sub par. Brittany is a breath of fresh air. She is extremely meticulous and takes pride in her work! I will be a repeat customer. My only NEGATIVE is the salon does not offer pedicures. I don't want penalize with 4 stars but to offer massages, facials, hair services and NO pedicures is odd. Brittany is licensed to give pedicures but she said the salon owner does not offer them. To me that is money lost. Most people who get a manicure usually get a pedicure. I will be asking the owner to consider offering these services. Will update if I feel my review has changed. Give Hairaholic and Brittany a try. I naturally have really dark hair so this was a lot of work to do in one day. Jake was amazing!!! From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. There was 3 things that I really liked, no LOVE about Vanessa's hair salon. 1. They are VERY CLEAR about wearing a mask which is such a big thing to me bc I have close family members I live with that have compromised immune systems so it was really nice to know that vanessa and jake made sure to take their customers safety into consideration. Everything was clean and spacious. 2. Jake knew how to take my dark hair (which was a mix of dark brown, black, reddish-orange hair that i attempted to bleach and dye myself) and lighten it using bleach without destroying my hair. My hair feels soft, strong, and healthy!! Plus it looks absolutely fabulous!!! I spent almost an entire day getting my hair done. Throughout the whole process, Jake and Vanessa made sure to check in with how I was doing. I had to bleach my whole head in order for the purple color to show up and Jake was able to lift and lighten my hair as much as possible without damaging my hair. This means so much to me bc a year and a half ago I let a different hair salon bleach my hair and it all fell out because it was bleached improperly. Jake knows the CORRECT way to bleach and dye someone's hair!!! 3. The third thing I really liked was that I immediately felt at ease and comfortable from the minute I walked in. I felt like I was hanging out with my best friends the entire time I was there. I dont plan on going to any other salon again. In fact, I cant wait to bring my mom and sister in so they can experience the amazing magical work of these hair magicians!! Plus they even do waxing. I got my eyebrows done and they look amazing!!! I highly suggest going to Vannesa's hair salon.
