I'm finally able to review the last haircut and highlight from a few years ago. My 2plus ft of hair is still recovering. I used to see Greg, who was amazing! He went to another Ulta about an hour away at this time. I made an appointment and I do not remember her name for the life of me but I sure do remember the incidents that occurred. I was there for a partial and cut. I was offered Olaplex which is always a yes from me. The woman was ok seemed welcoming. Half my head done and she had to leave me with lightener to go and pierce an elder woman's ears. The whole time I was praying to the gods my hair didn't fry. About 20 minutes go by and she's back. Starts working on the rest of my hair ... not part of it ALL of it got highlights. Ruining what was already gorgeous. While sitting there I kept seeing this guy and he'd stand there and just stare at us and then over towards the shelves of hair products and back at us. I asked the girl if she knew him or something. Nope! Something was off. He would leave and come back. I finally came out and asked, "Are we being robbed right now"? Her answer was, "Yes. But we can't call the cops. We just have to let them do it. Nothing "we", ie; Ulta can do. I was already dreading this appointment from the ear piercing appointment during my appointment (she was the only hairdresser there). Now I was staring at a guy being the damn lookout for theft. After all of this, no haircut because she ran out of time. My right side of my head had bleached so much my hair was melting off and it was platinum silver white. Like nana white. Gandalf the White white. It's about 2.5 years later and my hair is still fried. I had to find someone that I'd be comfortable with my long hair because after that?? You lose a bit of faith. I did find someone and even after a few trims and adding lowlights back in, it's still not the same. My new hairdresser found damage that I didn't even see in the back. Fried off hair underneath. I don't want anything to do with any Ulta hairdressers ever again. For the rates they charge... nope. The whole experience changed my view on how Ulta runs their ship. I wanna feel safe. That's a start. 0 stars. I don't even want an apology. I've moved on after getting this out. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I was so impressed by my experience today! I had a hair cut and style with christen that I couldn't not hype her up. Not only does my hair look incredible and exactly what I asked for but the actual experience was the best I have ever had at a salon. I cannot recommend her services enough! read more

I visited your Taunton MA store on Friday Sept 4th. I did not have an appointment but spoke with a Manager who stated they would be able to take me in for a color/hightlight and cut. I was booked with Alee. She did state to me that she did have an appointment so may not be able to do the highlight, I told her that I didn't want to do the color unless we could complete the service so a cut would be fine. She then stated that she would move quickly and get both done. She was slow, VERY slow. Her station was FILTHY with hair from a prior client. But she was kind. She did my color and cut. Then started drying it. I am not sure of the technique, in 37 years I have never had someone do this....I have very thin hair and wear it in a bob. She instead twisted it in knots and left it semi wet/fizzy. After "drying" she stated there was no time for highlights. (which I wouldn't have done the color) I paid for my service and headed to my car. When I got to the car, I realized my hair was three different colors--a gold tone on the top, medium brown in places and almost black at the tips. But the cut had pieces that were clearly missed. I went in and spoke with a manager. She stated she "didn't do hair" so didn't know what happened with the color but would have someone fix the cut and told me to wait and left me. She never came back, I never saw her again. A second stylist was able to semi fix the cut but only if she cut A TON of hair off and was unable to fix the color as she did not have time. I paid $80.00 for a color and cut that are both incorrect. The color service is AWFUL, something went wrong but left feeling helpless as the manager's answer was "I don't do hair" Who can help your salon clients? They have no management? I am disappointed and of course embarrassed and now calling salons to find someone to correct the color I received. read more

LOVE the Taunton location. They have a lot of young women who are up on the latest makeup trends but, more important to ME, THEY HAVE ELIZABETH! She's a "mature woman" who knows what's needed for mature skin AND she's a dream to work with. I'm so very glad I found her!!! read more

I was doing some last minute shopping today with my mom and the store was closing soon . I needed help finding a concealer and a woman came over named Kameesha and she helped me find a perfect match she was very knowledgeable and helpful and she may have changed my life.. Went here for an eye brow wax. Usually I get them threaded but the last few times I have gone, my eyebrows looked like distant cousins not sisters ! Ana is the best ! Very professional and clean! Horrible. I will never go back to this location. I went shopping here with my grandmother, we had a handful of items we were going to buy. She reached for a Too Faced eyeshadow pallet tester to see that the tester pallet was destroyed and there were only 2 shades left, the rest of the shades had hit pan. She then, reached for a box to look at instead of the tester and it started to beep. An employee immediately came to us and was VERY rude. She gave a bad attitude and when my grandmother apologized and asked if she can just open a box to look, the employee said "no. dont." and left it at that, then proceeded with a bad attitude. We decided that we were very uncomfortable and so we put all items back and left. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had a scheduled appointment with Jessica today at 11:15am. I was getting a blow out and make up application. I had scheduled this in advance because I had an event I needed to be at. I arrived early. Jessica emerged at approximately 11:10am to say hello, offer me a water, and to tell me she just had to do a blowout and would be right with me. The client was NOT in the chair at that point. So she starts on this other woman. By now I am getting aggravated because I am on a time restraint. At 11:35am I picked up my stuff and walked out. They didn't call or follow up with me to find out what happened. It was going to cost me a lot of money, and they clearly didn't value my business. Will not go back. read more

I went to Ulta to find the right gift for my mothers birthday. I made several purchases where you receive a free gift if you spend a certain amount. I got to the register and didnt see any gifts in the bag. I made a point to tell her that I made certain purchases to receive the gift. She told me they ran out of them. It was annoying that I had to bring it up to her for her to mention anything about the gift.. I bought the items I wanted and left the store. Later, I'm looking through my purchases and see that I got charged for something I wanted and it was never put in the bag. This store is not right around the corner from me. I called them and they tell me to come into the store so they can check my receipt. They ended up giving me what I was charged for. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they gave me what I bought. It should've been given to me the first time, but I got it. Also, if they run out of the gifts, take the damn signs down so they dont have people buying extra things if they dont have it. Nothing like false advertisement. I will not be returning to this store again. I am beyond pissed but managed not to flip out and make a scene, instead I'll just post a yelp review and vent. read more

Went in yesterday typically I go to Plymouth to get makeup and went to check out and the young girl with god awful lashes took my money and did not count it before putting it into the drawer in the two seconds I realized I overpaid for the product and asked her to double check in which she rudely replied I gave her an exact amount come to find out I did over pay by fifteen dollars but fuck me thanks never stepping foot in that store again on a brighter note maybe now she can afford some new lashes it won't be enough to fix the attitude though. read more

I have gotten my hair colored twice from them. Once in December in which was a color correction from bleach to a dirty blonde. My hair came out in two different colors. Went back to fix it the next day and it still wasn't perfect, but better. I went in again this week to go back to a light blonde. My hair again is in three different colors.... now have to go back again to have my hair fixed. The girl was very nice, but each time I went in a two hour service took six hours the first time and three the second time... don't know if I'll be back again. read more

Very unprofessional, went to hair salon for highlights. The result was not even close to what was discussed during consultation. They said they wouldn't do anything to my hair that would make me unhappy; however the end result was opposite and I was completely misguided. read more

AWFUL! I had a wedding to go to so I figured I would get a trim since I needed one anyone and just have a blow out. A trim took almost an hour and a half. The hairdresser was super nice but she did a horrible job. My hair is an inch shorter on one side of my head, she had me twisting my head in all kinds of uncomfortable ways while she did it, almost like shes only ever cut hair on a mannequin. I called the manager and the manager just put her on the phone which I was not happy about because I wanted my money back not to have the same person fix it. Its already a disaster, I am not letting the same person near my hair with scissors again. Its already shorter than I wanted and now I have to go shorter to correct the length. My first time at the Taunton, MA store I had just a cut which I loved. The next time it was with someone different a little rough but not too bad, so I decided to book another appt. with the same girl and literally stood at the counter for about 10 minutes to assure about the time. I called on Wednesday to see if she had any opening for the next day but she was booked, I was ok with that since I called last minute. The same day I confirm my appt. for the following week. She yes it's still. Well the day of my appt. I called earlier in the day to confirm again only because she told my friend that she wasn't going to be around later. I called Ulta and one of the consultant said she was on lunch and would have her give me a call. I received the call only for her to tell me that she can't do my hair. I am and was extremely upset because I have a party to go to over the weekend. read more

Love the selection of items from makeup to skin and haircare products. The sales people could be more helpful to the older customers. I am a platinum member but am usually overlooked if I need help. The sales staff seem to prefer helping the younger customers. read more
