Whatever you do, do not let "Kayla" touch your feet.
I went to the salon to get a pedicure to relax on my day off
with a girlfriend. Her and I were looking for colors.
I could not figure out which color I wanted, one of the woman
kept coming over to us, like we were a bother and wasting her time.
Mind you, it was before 12 on a Monday. It was busy,
but there weren't people waiting to be serviced.
Rewind to a couple weeks before when another friend was
going away on vacation, we decided to get a pedicure there.
We sat next to a woman that was getting a pedicure by "Kayla".
She screamed and complained that she was being hurt, my friend
and I thought she was just a miserable witch and liked to complain.
Fast forward to my experience, she was not just a miserable witch,
I felt the pain she was feeling.
She just slammed herself on her chair, did not acknowledge me,
looked at the ground and said "what color?". I understand the
language barrier can be tough, all my family is from a different
country, but seriously, its basically customer service.
She began to file my toe nails down, and she filed my skin. I am
fully tattooed and had natural birth, so when something hurts, I
will definitely let you know. She was not very gentle, and to be
honest, my anxiety was threw the roof.
Being in customer service myself, and being sick of being
yelled at, and belittled. I asked her to please stop
and I will wait for another associate to finish my feet.
She kept on trying to get me to let her "try again". I
explained as nicely as possible that she has been hurting me
the whole time and not to make a big deal about it, I will wait.
I kept asking her not to make a big deal about it and she just
kept pushing me and giving me a death look.
Finally after trying to get her to understand she will not be
touching my feet, Amy came to finish my feet. Amy was nice,
not very talkative but she was gentle and sort of took her time.
This salon is very rushed, unfortunately. Amy picked up my feet
and talked about them to the other girls. I'm guessing they were bad,
sorry, I practice Mixed Martial Arts and I am actively on my feet
when I can be. So I am sitting there trying to enjoy my time,
and the girls are just laughing and clearly talking about me.
It's safe to say, I will not be going back there again. I would
definitely not recommend it to a friend, it's not the worst experience
and I wish I could get my money back. read more
