Nery is amazing! She's been cutting my hair for about 2 years now and always gives me the perfect cut. I recently went in to change my hair color for the first time in years. She gave me beautiful baby-lights that i loved. After going home I just couldn't shake the feeling that they were too light for me which was my mistake based on the images I showed her. I called her the next day in hopes of darkening the baby-lights a bit and getting more of a sun kissed/peek-a-boo look. She took me in, added some toner and gave me exactly what I was hoping for! I am an avid user of yelp and when I want to try something/someplace new, I resort to fellow yelpers for honest reviews and advise- reason for my comment. I have been here ever since I could remember and have always left satisfied, partially because I never came in for an intricate cut or color, rather I opted for the same basic cut, a short blunt bob style. However, on this particular occasion, I came in with long, dried out, bleached hair(as shown in the first picture) in hopes to accomplish a cut as shown in the second picture below(yes, I showed her-Neri- this exact photo). We also discussed dying my hair my natural color (on the darker side,but NOT jet black) so the outgrown line of my previous color was no longer visible; to which she agreed. I also told her that my hopes were to get rid of as much dried out hair as we could while maintaining the integrity of the cut I wanted. While chatting about how long it had been since my last visit, I made a comment saying that I always went to her for a short cut because length was never something I concerned myself over. She began cutting away, and I trusted that she knew what she was doing. After a while, I realized how short she ended up cutting my hair and was concerned over how choppy my hair felt. Again, I trusted her and thought that maybe it was because it wasn't styled. She then moved on to the color and at no point did she explain to me what color she was mixing or was planning on using on me. Instead, she kept calling the concoction my "natural hair color." At the end, I ended up with jet black hair and an extremely short cut with long layers which I think was due to my comment of always going to her for short cuts (clear miscommunication or misunderstanding, idk?)that were clearly not blended given how chopped off they felt and look after straightening. The cut and color cost me 70 plus dollars and the pictures of what I wanted versus what I ended up could not have been more different. Ultimately, I ended up in tears over my experience and ended up spending more money trying to fade out the jet black hair color which after a lot of research, I realized is THE hardest color to fade. I take responsibility for not speaking up sooner, however the lack of communication from the professional from beginning to end is something she should to take accountability for and needs to be improved. Overall, I was saddened and frustrated by my experience and don't see myself coming back. Yes, I will be hiding my face because people can be mean on Yelp too! read more

This is where I get my hair done most of the time. Neri always gets it right. Whether I'm cutting my hair, or conditioning my hair I always leave happy. My mom, my husband and my son also come here. We've been coming to Hair Solutions for many years (Over 7 years). They are very friendly. They take walk-in's but It helps if you call ahead a time to make sure they are not too busy. Noemi is awesome!!! she cuts my daughters hair and she has super heavy straight hair you can definitely tell if the haircut is bad but Noemi spot on. She has been cutting her hair since my daughter was about 1 year old and wont go anywhere else. My husband has also very tricky hair and is very particular about his hair cuts and he loves it there.
