I kept checking it myself with my own mirror and it started to look orange and it already looked very damaged. I asked her if my hair was ready to be washed and she said "another 10 minutes". The drive up to the center and the Mt Madonna campus is gorgeous and the entire place has a sense of peace and grace. Mr. Kong is a master practitioner - I have some pretty serious back and shoulder issues from too much lap top time and he did some of the most amazing deep tissue and other techniques on me that have made me feel hopeful that we might be able to fix these completely! Our room had a very strong chemical smell from the moment we arrived. I texted the front desk (there are no phones in the rooms), and they sent maintenance over. He agreed the smell was strange and thought it was coming from the mini fridge, which they replaced. Unfortunately, the smell remained for the entire weekend. It was to the point where my husband and I just said "ugh" every time we entered the room and immediately opened the screen door to try and air it out. We were told they couldn't move us because the hotel was fully booked, which I understand. What I don't understand is why there was no other solution or even any compensation offered for having to stay in a room that smelled strongly of something acrid all weekend. The next day, we also discovered a few dozen of ants on the counter around the bathroom sink. They were gone by that evening, but it was still pretty gross. There were some smaller disappointments, too: the TV offered streaming but wasn't connected to the internet, the bathtub initially ran rust-colored water from the tub faucet (the shower water was clear), and my husband's steak at the onsite restaurant arrived cold. We ultimately just tolerated everything and got through the weekend because there wasn't much else we could do. I don't expect a hotel to be perfect, and things go wrong. But especially for the prices, it was pretty bad and no one offered any solutions other than "the smell should get better now that the fridge is changed out" (it didn't). I was genuinely excited to stay here, so it's a shame that the experience fell so far short of expectations.

the employees here are really nice. the girl (idk her name, sorry) at the desk was very helpful and patiently answered my questions thoroughly. ive met a lot of employees that act as if their customers are some kind of burden, but the employees here seem to really put their effort and time on you. as i walked up to the counter, i saw two "done" girls paying for their appointment - they had amazing cuts and color! plus all the customers seemed to get along with their stylist, conversing and laughing. it was really nice unfortunately, i didnt actually choose this salon for a cut because a woman's cut is $25-$35, depending on difficulty. and for my student budget, thats a tad too much (yeah im a cheapskate - blame the economy). other than that, the place was cozy and clean, and the employees were very pleasant. if you have the money, i recommend it read more

I've been going to Anisha at Bella Salon for highlights/balayage and brazilian blowouts for a couple of years on and off and she always does such an amazing job. Somehow when she does it my blowouts last so much longer! On top of being a fantastic stylist she is so sweet and easy to talk to and very attentive to any requests.
