It has wall to wall of hair care products for every hair type (not just African American) along with every color and type of extension and hair pieces. The prices are reasonable but there are cheaper options within the city. But this would be a great location to check on while out and about doing normal shopping because of it's prime location near the mall. While I'll continue using my normal store, I will probably stop in to see what's new here.

I had previously gone to another beauty supply store down the street and just ended up walking out because the owner kept insisting that I purchase some not so good quality hair extensions. I was honestly just going to head back to my room and then as I was driving by seen that "City Beauty Supply" was still open! I had a quick purchase due to loving the hair extensions I was demonstrated.. I can't wait to do my hair this upcoming work week! Crystal took my dull, grown out balayage (that never really excited me) and transformed it into an all over gorgeous, buttery blonde. No bleach was used in the process in order to protect my thin hair, and the results are amazing. The other stylists gave both of us compliments during the process and it made me feel more confident about taking the plunge into full blonde territory. So thankful to have found my new favorite hair salon! Definitely recommend Crystal and the salon as a whole.

She did not want to upset the stylist. (my daughter was one of the stylist first clients) My daughter returned to the salon to speak with the manager regarding her complaint. The manger did offer the same service. The offer was declined due to risk of her hair being darker. The manager was rude and condensing verbalizing "you said you can't afford our prices." and proceeded to walk away. i reached out to the stylist via Instragram, to offer a solution to help all parties remedy the customer service issue. (I am the one paying for the service). The solution was to add the service to lighten the darker hair color with a discount for the service with an additional generous tip to compensate Eckley for providing a solution to a customer problem. Eckley was more concerned that my daughter did not reach out directly regarding her dislike for the darker hair color. The solution was to redirect my daughter to obtain services at another salon. No solution to address a customer service complaint. it is disheartening that this salon tells heavily on social media and review for clients. They do not care! very unprofessional results!

Today, I visited this salon for a full head of highlights with some lowlights. I showed clear…read morereference photos and explained that while I typically receive a bleach and tone, I wanted to add subtle dimension so the grow-out would be softer. I explicitly stated that I still wanted my hair nearly all platinum. After the service was completed and my hair was washed, I immediately mentioned that the color was much darker than expected. I still paid and left because I wanted a second opinion before reacting. When I arrived home, I discovered that bleach had been left on the back of my neck and in my hair, which is unacceptable and concerning from a safety and professionalism standpoint. Upon further inspection, I also realized the final result was significantly darker than my hair was before and did not resemble the photos or description of what I requested. I had specifically asked for the front to remain fully blonde, which it no longer was. I returned to the salon and asked to speak with the owner. I was told she was not present. I explained the issues to another employee, showed the same reference photos again, and pointed out the bleach that had been left on me. I was told the salon does not offer refunds and that someone could redo my hair. I explained that I was not comfortable having the service redone, and I was told they would "wait to see" if the owner responded. While waiting, the employee returned visibly frustrated and stated she "didn't understand what I wanted," despite me calmly reiterating my concerns and showing the photos again. I again requested to speak with the owner directly and asked when she would be available. I was told no--not tomorrow, not later in the week, and not next week--and was informed the salon would be closed for Christmas. I was told I would not be able to speak to the owner at all and should speak to her instead, as she was "like a manager." During this interaction, she dismissed my concern about bleach being left on my skin by saying "that's something that happens." At this point, I felt increasingly uncomfortable due to her tone and behavior. My sister was quietly on the phone for support and did not speak; nevertheless, the employee accused me of involving her and asked me to step outside. I declined because I did not feel comfortable. I was then told I was being combative, which was untrue. Overwhelmed by the hostility and lack of professionalism, I became emotional and began crying. The employee responded by stating she was "done" with me and walked away, leaving me alone and visibly upset in the salon. I have never experienced such unprofessional, dismissive, and hostile behavior in a professional setting--especially one involving chemical services. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Board of Cosmetology and pursuing additional actions as appropriate.

I hadn't heard about this salon before and was ready to try it out because it was so cheap! The salon itself was nicer than I expected on the inside and everyone who was working was really friendly. The groupon was specifically for Brittany and she was really friendly as well. My main problem with this place is that they double dip the popsicle stick they use while waxing in the wax pot, which is a huge problem!!! There have been horror stories of girls going in for a wax and getting a STD or some kind of disease because it is not hygienic. They also use strip wax for a Brazilian which is not my preference. She seemed rushed while doing the wax and didn't really do the best job. I will not be coming back here for a wax ever again.
