My nails came out extremely crooked--several of them are literally pointing/facing to the left instead of straight. But honestly, the most frustrating part was the experience trying to choose my color. I picked the color I wanted, and the nail tech switched it on me. When I told her that it was not the color I chose, instead of listening to me or correcting it, she argued with me. She first tried to tell me a glitter was the same color when it clearly was not. When I said I didn't want that, she then tried chrome and again insisted it was the same. I repeatedly explained that it was not what I wanted, and I felt completely ignored. At the end of the day, I am the customer paying for the service--I should be able to choose the color I want on my own nails. Between the crooked nails, not receiving the color I asked for, and being argued with instead of listened to, I left extremely disappointed. There are far too many great nail salons in Tallahassee to spend your money somewhere that leaves you feeling unheard and unhappy with the finished result. The ambiance of the salon was clean, chic, and cozy. The wait was short because I was the first appointment for the day with Valerie Young. She made me feel very comfortable and offered suggestions to the hair cut I showed her to fit my hair type, face shape, and look I was going for. I think she did a wonderful job and it looks just like the picture!! The price for the cut and the glaze is amazing too! Today, I visited this salon for a full head of highlights with some lowlights. I showed clear…read morereference photos and explained that while I typically receive a bleach and tone, I wanted to add subtle dimension so the grow-out would be softer. I explicitly stated that I still wanted my hair nearly all platinum. After the service was completed and my hair was washed, I immediately mentioned that the color was much darker than expected. I still paid and left because I wanted a second opinion before reacting. When I arrived home, I discovered that bleach had been left on the back of my neck and in my hair, which is unacceptable and concerning from a safety and professionalism standpoint. Upon further inspection, I also realized the final result was significantly darker than my hair was before and did not resemble the photos or description of what I requested. I had specifically asked for the front to remain fully blonde, which it no longer was. I returned to the salon and asked to speak with the owner. I was told she was not present. I explained the issues to another employee, showed the same reference photos again, and pointed out the bleach that had been left on me. I was told the salon does not offer refunds and that someone could redo my hair. I explained that I was not comfortable having the service redone, and I was told they would "wait to see" if the owner responded. While waiting, the employee returned visibly frustrated and stated she "didn't understand what I wanted," despite me calmly reiterating my concerns and showing the photos again. I again requested to speak with the owner directly and asked when she would be available. I was told no--not tomorrow, not later in the week, and not next week--and was informed the salon would be closed for Christmas. I was told I would not be able to speak to the owner at all and should speak to her instead, as she was "like a manager." During this interaction, she dismissed my concern about bleach being left on my skin by saying "that's something that happens." At this point, I felt increasingly uncomfortable due to her tone and behavior. My sister was quietly on the phone for support and did not speak; nevertheless, the employee accused me of involving her and asked me to step outside. I declined because I did not feel comfortable. I was then told I was being combative, which was untrue. Overwhelmed by the hostility and lack of professionalism, I became emotional and began crying. The employee responded by stating she was "done" with me and walked away, leaving me alone and visibly upset in the salon. I have never experienced such unprofessional, dismissive, and hostile behavior in a professional setting--especially one involving chemical services. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Board of Cosmetology and pursuing additional actions as appropriate.

I had a specific OPI gel color combo in mind. I like to use two different shades layered for a perfect neutral for my fair skin. A bit extra yes, but the results have never failed me. The staff was able to find one of the two colors before my appointment and shortly after my arrival they located the second color. Yay!!!! They are used to customers who like to customize their color. This extra request didn't create an issue whatsoever and they were so accommodating by searching the entire wall to find it. The salon is beautifully designed and it appears perfect for large groups, think "girls day out". I opted for a hot cuticle oil pedi, and a classic fill with my custom layered polish. Both of my nail specialists were great and my nails look holiday ready! I even got an extra $10 gift card based on the price of my services. Win win!!

I've always had very light colored eyebrows and I'd always have to fill them in just to feel pretty. Imagine not having to wake up every morning and fill in your brows a certain way for the ladies who do like I used to before getting mine micro-bladed. I always went for that nice subtle arch which I thought I had finally mastered after years of practice. But could never achieve the more natural ombré effect in the front. Although she does offer ombré as well as powder brows too, I went with the micro-blading procedure because I have always liked that very realistic hair stroke look that you get with it. But all of her brow services are on point regardless of which you choose. Long story made short, I wake up every morning now and have effortlessly beautiful brows on my face!!! I'm obsessed.
