Good vibes!!! Awesome team!!! Everyone is super chill Super Cool, and they all get along, which is very rare for the beauty industry. I felt so comfortable and at home while at the salon in Daphne. I had Audrie a relatively new stylist, who is the sweetest, most kind young lady I've ever met!!!! She was incredibly thorough and spent hours making sure my hair was perfect. She did an amazing job with my highlights and even added a shadow root and a nice toner so the grow out will be easy and low maintenance.. So excited to find a salon specializing in bright hair colors. Must have been a slow day because it was very quiet in the big salon. My stylist, Kimberly, was nice and asked questions to understand what I was looking for, although ultimately, I sort of gave her artistic freedom. She brought my color closer to it's more natural state and then added in lots of pink and purple like I wanted. The salon is funky and bright and they even offer you a beer or cider while they go to work making you beautiful. Prices are typical and reasonable. Would definitely go back! read more

I would not recommend this salon. They refused service to my handicapped granddaughter who is 4 yrs old, blind and autistic because she couldn't wear a mask. She is unable to do so due to her sensory issues. I'm pretty laid back but this is discrimination against a handicapped child. Myself and my family will no longer be using their services. read more

My daughter had a 10 AM appointment for a trim - just taking off the dead ends, no more than an inch. Her appointment was with Michelle Rabren, who was an extremely nice and pleasant person. She did a good job overall, but the issue was the TIME involved. We were at the salon for two hours - which is an EXTREMELY long time for the services provided. Shampoo, trim, blow-dry. She is extremely slow - achingly slow - in all off her work. It was painful to watch. She brought in another stylist to help blow dry her hair. Granted, she does have a head full of hair, but there so no excuse for the snail's pace. If she doesn't want to irritate her future clients and if she ever wants to make any money I would recommend that she pick up her pace considerably. read more

I've been to tons of places to get my hair done. When I was younger I had long hair and usually just wanted a trim so it wasn't possible to mess it up. A few years ago I wanted to start wearing shorter hair so I wanted a good stylist. Everyone I went to thought a 50 year old woman should have boring hair. So I started asking young people where they were going. A 20 year old told me about this place. She said I shouldn't be put off by the fact that everyone had tatooos and purple hair. I was excited to try Hair-do. I drove quite a long way to go, which I told them, but I was willing to do so because I really needed a great haircut and color. After explaining to them my need for an experienced, knowledgeable stylist because my hair was damaged, they placed me with an inexperienced, nervous kid. I had asked for light brown with possibly some purple, but was open to whatever they suggested as long as it looked good. I spent literally 5 hours in there and left almost in tears. My hair was orange and no hair cut. They told me to "give it time" I was really confused by this, because how long am I supposed to wear this orange mess? 2 weeks later I called and told them I hated it and to please do anything to fix the orange. I felt like they were dismissive of my concerns. Again, I left with orange hair and completely unhappy. read more

Nothing is more intimidating about moving to a new city than finding a new hairstylist--well except maybe trying to change the registration on your car--but that's besides the point. I had a haircut from Carli and was quite pleased. Hair -do salon is about the same environment you'd expect at most modernish salons. Regrettably, it doesn't have a "barber shop" feel, but one can't have everything. That being said, it also didn't seem like an exclusively ladies place and I felt quite comfortable going there. Carli did a great job. She both clearly knew what she was doing and cared about achieving results. She managed to give me a great haircut even despite my complete inability to describe the style I was wanting in any coherent manner! The prices were also extremely reasonable for a quality haircut. Mine was only $17.00. I enjoyed the experience and definitely plan on returning. read more

The staff was extremely rude and aggressive (one in particular) for absolutely no reason. Needless to say, we walked out without making a purchase. Really great salon! I've been twice now and walked out happy both times. The first time I just got a trim, but my stylist did exactly what I asked and I was in and out in like 10 minutes. I went back a few days ago for highlights and another trim and was super pleased with the results. Every time that I get color done at a salon I worry about the results since I've had bad experiences in the past (especially with highlights- I have dark hair and they always seem to come out too blonde or too streaky), but the color was perfect and exactly what I wanted. Kristin does my hair (cut & color) and she is insanely knowledgeable and talented. Don't be put off by the tattoos and piercings - these stylists are skilled and professional. The owner Michelle is highly trained via the Paul Mitchell institute. Took us a few bad and/or overpriced haircuts to find this place, and I'm so glad we got a referral here. Awesome spot! I was staying in Fairhope for a wedding (we drove down from MD) and was trying to find a place super last minute that could do an up do of some kind for me. I called and made an appointment & also decided to get my makeup done (I've never had it professionally done before) the morning of the wedding. Really cute place tucked away right off the main road. Sweet personable staff, trendy interior, an the price was unbelievable! I got a partial up do (my hair touches my shoulders just slightly) & make up application and my grand total was under $60! I went here because it was recommended by a couple people, and my husband got a good hair cut here. They seem good at doing trims. If you don't know what you want to do with your hair, then it's a fine place to go. It's clean,quiet (at least when I went), and the stylists are generally nice. But if you know what you want, then I'd suggest finding somewhere else. Worst salon experience of my life. I get bored with my hair and like to try new, unique styles and always bring pictures. I wanted a pixie and left with a trim of the style I'd had for months and was tired of. My stylist barely glanced at the picture and then asked me what I wanted. I replied, "exactly like the picture," and she still didn't even take a second look. She was inexperienced and had to call for help. The "better" stylist instructed her to always use water when cutting hair--she hasn't heard of dry cuts?! I've gotten the best cuts of my life with dry cuts and swear by them. I offered to show her the picture, and she completely ignored me. When they were done and it was NOWHERE near what I wanted, I asked for more layers and for the asymmetrical side to be cut off (that's in large part why I wanted to cut my hair; it had been cut before by a stylist who was doing her best but left too much bulk and put in too much layering so it would never lay right), and she said "Oh, but I like it. You should leave it!" I told her it didn't lay right, and she asked me if I had a flat iron. Of course I do! She said I should leave half of it behind my glasses, and that would help; I do that already. She wouldn't add any more layers because "my hair is too fine." I've had a layered pixie before and it looked darn good too! I don't mind making changes to a cut according to what my hair will do, but the time to tell me is before the cutting starts, and I should have input since it's my hair! I have never felt so belittled and ignored by a stylist in my life. It was as if I knew nothing about hair, my opinion didn't matter, and she knew better. I felt bullied to go along with whatever she wanted which is ridiculous; I have dealt with lots of stylists over the years, and I have never been made to feel that way. She liked my current style so decided to trim it. They all said "it looks so good!" but honestly, it's hard for me to have a short cut that doesn't look good. The original stylist was very sweet and I don't fault her, but the one who "helped" was terrible. My first stylist could tell I didn't like it and offered to do it over or fix it however I wanted, but I declined because I knew she couldn't do it; if neither she nor the other stylist didn't have the sense to look at what I wanted or the skill to do it the first time, they wouldn't be able to do it the second time. read more

I went in to get a haircut and was scheduled with Joyce. I was asked one the phone twice if I wanted a shampoo as well and replied yes both times. I automatically noticed that this hairdresser was very rude and every time I tried to make conversation, she wanted no part of it. I figured maybe she was having a bad day and would do just fine on my cut. Boy, was I wrong! I told her I wished to keep the length and to which she replied "No, I am going to take some length off." And started cutting. Nothing I could do now. She literally took about 10 minutes on my hair which is extra long and thick. The cut was nothing more than her taking length off like I DID NOT request. To top it off; my hair was never washed either. So, not only did I get asked twice on phone if I wanted a shampoo along with cut because receptionist could not remember from the previous two minutes she had asked me, but I also got my hair chopped off by a rude hairdresser who went against my request. This is the first time I have ever had my hair cut for $40 at a salon and my hair was not washed or styled! The only thing she did do was put a little oil in it after she asked the stylist next to her where products were and neither of them could find. I will never return to this salon! Worst experience I have ever had! $ 40 for a terrible cut and no wash or style along with a rude hairdresser! I had to go to another salon to have them fix what she did or should I say didnt do! I was very pleased with the gals at Hair-Do. I'm new to the area and haven't had to establish a new hairdresser in many, many, many years. I was extremely nervous to say the least. Hair-Do came highly recommended and so I went. All the gals were very friendly, interactive, and helpful. The place was a warm, inviting and very comfortable atmosphere. My family moved here July 2013 and I began the search for a family friendly salon. Most of the websites for salons in Fairhope did not include a childs cut on their menu so I took that as a "no kids welcome". Hair-do was the first place we tried out and the last. Everyone's super nice and great with my 8 and 3 yr old. I have been happy with my hair everytime I leave and know that if I'm not they will do whatever they can to make my happy. Worst haircut ever. During a visit to the area I decided I wanted my hair cut and made an appointment based on the positive yelp reviews. I showed the stylist a picture of myself with the style I wanted to go back to, so it should not have been difficult. One side of my hair was a bit longer than the other so she cut the longer side, but oops she cut it too short and then the shorter side was longer! I told her not to cut any more, so she asked another stylist for a consultation who cut and cut and cut, admittedly with my permission but I had no idea how much she was cutting off. The end result was absolutely nothing like my picture and not at all flattering. read more
