I called in 3 days prior to my appointment and planned for a wash and blow dry. Today I was supposed to have my appointment at 5PM but I called in to push it back until 5:30PM because I was running late. The woman on the phone sounded hesitant but agreed anyways. When I arrived, the woman was the ONLY employee and she was already working on a customer. She was very kind but I'm afraid that the employees that helped me schedule my appointment did not do their due diligence prior to my service. I have very kinky and thick hair. When I called to make my appointment, I was very clear about having a stylist that knows how to work with curly hair and if they'd be available on the day of my appointment because I was on a strict schedule to make my flight to NY. While the woman was working on her other customer she was explaining to me that she doesn't work with curly hair and wouldn't be able to give me the look I wanted which I understand--not everyone knows how to work with my type of hair. Instead, we settled on a wash and style with my natural hair. But with her still working on the other customer, I had to wait 50 minutes before I realized I was going to be to my flight. I'm very disappointed with my experience because I was relying on this appointment to perfect my look for my NY trip. Grateful that the employee was transparent with her work style as to not waste my time but I will not be coming back. If you choose to come, stress the importance of your preferences so you are not disappointed like I was. read more

I had my hair done at this place done a month ago. The girl was really nice and professional but I wish she should've told me she couldn't do the job! I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair and she did what she wanted not what I wanted. I was really depressed for days night. I wanted a balayaye with a touch of a dark roots. She also over processed my hair it's damaged and with in time it turned yellow and orange and it's horrible! or another thing the other worker's where very rude no bedside manners all they care is about the money not clients. I am so excited about being the first to review this place. I go to Hair Designs about once every two weeks and it is always an enjoyable experience. The salon is run by a couple, husband and wife, the wife is the stylist and I believe the husband does administrative work. They are very friendly, ask you if you'd like a bottle of water while you are waiting, talk to you while your getting done and make helpful suggestions. They also do eyebrows which I regularly do as well. They take appoinments and sometimes it's helpful because they do get busy. read more

I have been looking for years to find me the perfect Hair Salon who had experienced hairstylists and who really LISTENS to how you want your hair. Well I finally found it here! Andrea was SPOT ON and also gave me some great suggestions about how to keep my hair soft and manageable. They also offer u water or coffee which I absolutely love that too. I was so impressed with this place that I told my boyfriend who made an appt to get his haircut too. We originally had him scheduld w Andrea but she wasn't able to come in today, so Jose took over today. Just as well bcuz we wernt sure how to explain how my bf wanted his haircut, until we saw Jose and he sed..."oh my gosh...he has the same haircut that i want".
