Atmo is vibing, good people, I'm not sure who taught some of these people how to cut hair! My hair was chopped up, not even close to what I had requested, one side was shorter than the other side! Literally, it looked as if the haircutter just grabbed a pair of salad scissors and went to town on me. Went to another hair cuttery. That girl asked me what they had put on my hair, I recall I was told it was a conditioner treatment, why? She said my hair was burnt from whatever they had used on my hair!! I told her keep layers long enough for my curling iron and volume. She chopped my hair so short when I said that's too short. she said oh well it will grow. My mother in law went to this salon twice, which was two times too many. First time she got shampoo, hair cut, blowdry and style for $45. I saw her the next day and besides the back of her hair being hacked it didn't look like her hair was just styled (very frizzy looking). She said she would give them another chance. 2 weeks later she went in for shampoo, blowdry and style (if you want to call it that) for $43 (only $2 less than when she got the same services PLUS cut). I know the choices of hair salons in Whiting are slim but drive a bit further and avoid this place. read more

I came in for a wash, cut and blow dry straight. Something like this normally takes at least 30-45 minutes because my hair is very long. I was in and out in 20 minutes. She had me stand during the entire haircut which I've never had to do and was very weird to me. She used no heat protection while blow drying my hair. I requested my hair to be trimmed all one length. When I left and looked in the mirror, one side is very uneven. Some spots are at least an inch shorter or longer than other spots. I'm going to have to go somewhere to get it fixed because it is so horrible. I will never be returning here. read more

The first time I went I had an amazing experience. The second time well it was so upsetting. I am a former cancer patient. My hair was to the middle of my back . I told the girl long round layers which was not what she did and all this woman cared about was saying how thin my hair was. I was so upset to see that my hair is now short to the Point I had to get a clip in hair piece so I don't get flashbacks. read more

Went to get a simple hair trim, just 4-5 inches off because my hair was getting pretty long. I didn't think it would be that difficult to do, but apparently it was. When I got home and showered the next morning, I found my hair to be all different lengths, and even half of it to be over an inch longer than the other half and had to ask my mom to fix it for me. It took a while to fix because of all the differently cut lengths, but thankfully my hair was long enough for more to be cut off. Don't get me wrong, the ladies here were very kind and funny, but I can't go back now because of how badly my hair was cut for a simple trim. read more

Went here once and the hair stylist I had was extremely unprofessional. She gossiped a lot. I walked out with a hair cut that wasn't what I specified and charged me for straightening my hair since her blow out was wayyyyy overdone/poofy. She also belittled me quite a bit; telling me I shouldn't cut my hair that short (even though I've had it short and it looked good) and that I shouldn't curl my short to long bob.... uh hello??? I literally went in for a trim and blowout so I didn't have to worry about my hair for the holidays. Let me start by saying I made an appointment for 8:30am. My hair stylist basically made me get long layers after I said no 3 times they insisted it would make my hair "better" and "thinner," even though I said no thank you 3 times. But that's not even the part that gets me... during this appointment my stylist took THREE other people in between giving me my TRIM and BLOWOUT. They set my sopping wet hair into curlers and put me under the dome dryer for about 45mins...even though I knew my hair wouldn't dry under there and I wanted a simple blowout. Then came time for my blowout 2 hours later....HORRIBLE. My "trim" is very choppy and uneven. Stylist was nice but literally did not listen to a word I said even though I know what I want and I know my hair. What really gets me thought is the fact that they took three people in between my service..poor scheduling. DISAPPOINTED to say the least. read more
