For a chain salon, this place is EXCELLENT!! I only go to 2 salons around here: Salon Belor and Hair Cuttery in Wareham. So this place, they have friendly, down to earth stylists. My favorites are Kate and Keiyana. They both listen and do an excellent job. I get my hair highlighted here all the time also and the price can't be beat! A full foil, cut, conditioning, blowout is $99, and a partial foil, with cut, conditioning, blowout is only $69! Usually in other salons I've paid $120-$200 for the same service and sometimes didn't even like the results. Well with Hair Cuttery, people always compliment me on my highlights and when I tell them I got it done at Hair Cuttery and the price, they are amazed. The other thing I love is that they are open 7 days a week, including Sunday's, and you don't need an appointment. I do call ahead to find out when my fave stylists are working and give them a heads up when I'm coming in for a highlight though. So as I said in first paragraph, I also love Salon Belor because it's 2 minutes from my house, but otherwise I also Hair Cuttery in Wareham!! read more

This place had me absolutely stunned! I came here for a haircut and to get my eyebrows done. Everything came out exactly how I wanted it done in my head. The customer service was excellent and I really enjoyed Jen's service. She is the reason I will be back! She knew exactly what I wanted. Shayna gave me a full highlight, toner, cut, as well as an eyebrow wax and she did AMAZING. I've been going to the same lady to get my eyebrows down since I was a kid so after moving to the area I was worried about going anywhere else. My daughter went to get her hair done. She asked for a certain color and when she got home, it looked like she just got her hair washed. The color was no different than it was when she left. And she was told she couldn't have it blow dried because someone else was waiting. And she paid 150 Dollars for this. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting their hair done there. When an appointment is made and you pay for a wash color and blow dry, that is what you should get. read more

Until today, I had not stepped in a hair cuttery in over six years. My past experiences at other locations in different states were not good. I went to this location today because it's the only place I could find open on Sunday and I was quite simply desperate. I was blown away by the amazing job Sue did with my hair. This is the best color & highlight job I have ever received. The best. EVER. I left feeling ten years younger and receiving compliments from everyone. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. No, No and still No. No matter the lack of dollars in your wallet, No matter your crunch for time, No matter the desperation of your need for hair color, DO NOT come here and expect satisfaction. I came in expecting to lighten my hair from its sad dark brown/red state to the more natural looking dirty blonde that grows naturally out of my head. The stylist sat me down and i explained to her that i am looking to lighten to a point closer to my root color. she pondered my statement for quite some time and looked at her coloring book. this was my first indication she was unsure of how to do this. she proposed that we should lighten the top part in a partial foil, and then blend the rest by doing an overlay of full color after the foil. she assured me that this would blend the blonde in, and be more accurate to what im looking for. so i agreed. after the foils had been placed, i was put under the dryer (for what seemed like a bit too long, personally), and was rinsed. she stated that she was going to blow dry it out and evaluate the color. after blowing it about half dry, she asked the other stylist if she put the other color on it if it would turn my hair green...EXCUSE ME?! at this time i knew my gut feeling was correct. this so called "stylist" was very inexperienced, and had made a mistake. i looked into the mirror and did not yet see a green mess. i did see some very blonde highlights mixed and mingled among the red and brown i had walked in with. Tri-colored hair is not what i was hoping to obtain. it was clear to me that the stylist did not have the experience necessary to achieve what i wanted. i did not trust her to be able to fix it. so instead of getting the second color, i decided to leave it. I was very polite and i did not tell her i hated it. i even tipped her appropriately. everyone needs to make mistakes and learn from them. i just HATE being the guinea-pig. I went home upset that i had hair i was not happy with and paid $55 dollars plus tip for it. i thought about going over to Michael Wayne's a few doors down and having them fix it, but i just couldn't think about spending even more money to have it fixed. so instead, since i have quite a lot of experience dying my own hair from a box, i decided to fix it myself. I ran to target and picked up a box of LOREAL Sublime Moose and fixed it just fine. I will never come back here for anything ever again. dont risk it. read more

Let me preface by saying I hate getting my hair cut. I have very thick multi textured hair that's curly but course and it's heavy and it never cooperates. It doesn't help that I have zero patience for an intensive hair routine and I refuse to spend an arm and a leg on hair cuts. I hate getting my hair cut because it always comes with some crazy advice - "this will be great as long as you have time to blow dry it everyday" (I don't) or false promises - "it won't frizz" (it does) "it won't be puffy in the back" (it is!) so I force myself to get a trim twice a year when I'm desperate. I had no expectations getting it cut. Zero. Stephanie cut my hair and she was FANTASTIC. She was friendly and engaging and was pleasant. She put layers in the back (almost 32... that's never been suggested to me before) and my hair looks and feels better than I can ever remember. Stephanie didn't try to sell me a single thing. She didn't promise some product would "fix" my hair. Got to wear my hair fully down today for the first time in a long time. I'm completely delighted!!!!! read more

Recently visited with a few friends, when we decided to do an impromptu haircut. Granted it was around 7:30pm, but this location did not close until 9pm. We were treated poorly from the second that we walked in. The woman who was in the store seemed very annoyed with the three of us, often rolling her eyes and sighing when we spoke. Although this made us a bit lenient to stay, we stuck through it because my friend really wanted his hair cut that day. The woman cutting his hair (I believe her name was Amy) was rude to him while cutting his hair, and was very short with him after, snapping at him when he asked for more specifics on how he wanted his hair (mind you, she never even asked how he wanted it cut before she started, he had to interrupt her to tell her what he wanted, to which he was given attitude to in response). Overall was NOT a pleasant experience. read more

I work close by and go here for a haircut every 3 weeks or so. I'm a guy and my haircuts come out fine every time. Each time I've been there it's the same people working unlike some oher chain hair cutting places around where the staff rotates between all local stores. My haircuts are quick, accurate, and relatively inexpensive. I don't get my hair colored or do anything fancy so I can't comment on those services, but my wife has also been here a few times and she doesn't have any issues. read more

I had gone to a Hair Cuttery in Florida and was very disappointed with the results - I requested that the stylist not cut my hair too short and to follow the photo I had brought in. Not only did the stylist not follow the picture I presented, my hair was cut way too short. Almost 3 years later, based upon the reviews I read, I decided to try this hair salon. I was very reluctant to go to a chain to have my hair colored - I has not happy with my current stylist so I tried it. I was very happy!!! The price was right and the color was remarkable!!! It lasted almost 2 weeks longer - very much a plus!!! I have been going here for about 6 months now!!! I've had my hair colored - eyebrows waxed and yes finally trusted Ali to cut my hair!! Sandra is great! She found me an awesome cut that hides my thinning hair and looks great with my face shape. I left it in her capable hands and was very satisfied. Amy and Liz are also awesome - they have both done great jobs on my hair as well as my sisters and my husbands. My sister has actually waited an hour for Liz in the past because she does such a great job. If you get the right stylist, its definitely a great spot for a reasonably priced cut but some stylists do seem to need more experience. I've only had 1 bad cut in my experience there and I've been going for years. read more
