Do not go here if you value customer service. I called and asked about eyebrow waxing, and the woman said they did, and they were open until 8:30pm. I went there at 7:00, on the night before my 8:00am flight to LAX, and the owner was getting her hair done. She also told me they didn't have time for me. And that I should go elsewhere. When I got home, I called to express that I was upset because I drove there in the rain, amidst packing, and ... she yelled at me and said "goodnight" and then hung up on me. Don't go here. Give your business to someone who cares about customer service and who is, at the very least, graceful and polite. This woman is not. read more

Critical: Quality DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. The people here are sweet but they gave me the worst haircut of my life. I have very simple hair and asked for a very easy trim and a refresh of my existing long layers and got my hair hacked off. I have the most aggressive, cheapest looking layers I have ever seen. My haircut looks like something out of the early 2000s and isn't at all what I asked for. This salon is listed on the best of cape cod website, but I could not recommend it less. read more

My go-to for balayage! I lived near the salon 4 years ago and decided to try them for my balayage and I loved the work. I soon moved to Newport, RI and tried someone else close to home and hated it. I've actually tried to get balayage at 2 other places in between visiting Amanda and I will never again try to replace her! Luckily balayage doesn't require constant upkeep because I will be driving the 1.5 hours to get to Arabella's to color my hair. Making an appt is pretty easy and everyone at the salon is very friendly. Very clean and modern. I've also gotten hair cuts and blow outs here,I always leave happy. Cost for balayage considering I like to keep my hair on the longer side is usually 120-160 which is the standard. If I could give no stars I would. The owner should educate her staff on good customer service and hire knowledgeable staff. The salons "mission" is everything I did not experience. Regarding the owners comment made, "if you write a review you should use your real name." Perhaps this was insinuating I would be issued a refund which I have not been contacted for. Keep this in mind before spending money at this establishment. Also, name preference of person(s) profiles does not make reviews relevant or not. Therefore,the owners comment was irrelevant. Regardless of the name preference on the account the review remains a true and honest statement. The holder of this Yelp account has a Bachelors degree in Business Management also being a business owner. Even so in having to make this known, shows a lack of privacy concern and respect on the owners part. The concern is not that of resolving the issue for the customer but focused on the privacy of the identity of the account holder. Furthermore, making customers feel at fault for explaining to the highest of their EXTENT and capability when booking a service is unprofessional. One does not call or visit a business and be expected by the business to be more competent than the hired and paid staff for service. Assuming all customers are knowledgeable in the hair industry and work in this field and should know the correct terminology and timing process for their service is poor business. The business should provide/ assist with this to the customer. The staff should be educated and trained on the appropriate questions to ask during the booking process. If at any point during the booking process I was asked ONE question I would have been able to answer correctly. However, I was not asked any questions. Hair type, hair color or length for example should be a series of important questions to be asked by the staff. Which leads me to believe the "team" is not well trained and knowledgeable like the owner states to be. Not having been asked, I trusted the product would be there after arriving on time and trusting I would be given the time needed. I overpaid for my service that day because I can afford this well overpriced salon. Lastly, the owner was not on the premises and a call was not made because that is what reviews are for. This is such a great salon with a welcoming and talented staff. After recently relocating to the area, I tried this salon for the first time today with wonderful results. Amanda was my stylist and she cut and colored my hair exactly how I wanted. I was several weeks overdue for a cut and color, but I left feeling renewed and happy with my look. Arabella is a first class salon. Laurie and all of her staff are the best of the best! I've been seeing Cate for a while now and I have never left disappointed. She takes her time to explain everything to me and is open to my ideas while remaining honest. They have an incredible set up during covid, they constantly sanitize every little thing, I feel safer in the salon than the grocery store. I actually like processing in my car- a good time to blast some music and relax with some coffee. Everyone is so personable and genuine which I love. Do Not Go to this salon. The customer service is the worst service I have ever experienced. Receptionist and owner beyond rude. No one ever told me I had to wait In The car for stylist to finish up. After 15 minutes I walked back into salon and receptionist told me she forgot about me. What was worse I had process In The car too. I looked at the stylist and said you have to be kidding it's 95 degrees outside and my air conditioner is broken. She said "the receptionist should have told me when I booked my appointment but the good news is you can take your mask off in your car." I fully understand Covid but from my vantage point this salon is just trying to take in as many clients as possible with no regard for the customer. If I was a dog that was left in the car the owner would be arrested for leaving a dog in a car. I'm new to falmouth and want to give locals the business but this was outrageous. I called four Salons in Falmouth and they were all shocked to hear that they made me process in the car. I left in tears and told the receptionist to mail me the bill. The next day I called the owner to discuss this situation and she called me back thinking she was going to apologise for such a horrible experience but quite the opposite and could not have been more rude or mean. I told her to mail me the bill and she said she had to think about how she was going to handle. I did not know what she meant until a police officer called me three days later and said owner was going to file larceny charges. Anyway I think the stylist and the police officer were embarrassed by how I was treated. This was really a nightmare. read more

I love this salon. I have had the same hair stylist for 30 years in Boston! Yes so it was really hard to think about anyone else cutting my hair. I had read some reviews and decided to give this a try. I had one stylist who was good, and then I had Laurie the owner. WOW. I love the look, she really listened to me and is so kind. I began commuting from Boston to Falmouth in the winter. I am now living here most of the time. I am prompted to right this because I have been very nervous about getting my haircut as I am a health care professional and did not want to risk anything that would be a risk to myself or my patients. Laurie runs a tight professional shop. I am prompted to write as I saw a rather skewed negative review below. I was shocked could it be the same place? I will tell you this shop overflows with kindness and professionalism. As a doctor I know it is the rules that people can not linger in the salon, particularly in phase 2. It was on the web site. Yes you have to wait in the car until called in to a well oiled machine, that is the rules. If your car is too hot maybe not the day to go to the salon. Every person in this salon is kind and professional and I am concerned that the skewed presentation in another review would cast a shadow on a truly great place. I have no relationship to this place other than it being my new hair salon. Arabella salon is fantastic! Every time you walk in the door you feel very welcomed and at home. The receptionist is very accommodating and the waiting area is comfortable with tea, coffee and water available to you. I personally go and see Tracey, who does a wonderful job with my color and cut. She also takes time to dry and style my hair after its treatment so I'm ready for anything when I walk out the door. The receptionist is so overwhelmed and not attentive. She overcharged me $55 on my last appointment and to top it off was too busy answering phones and waiting on others to find my next appointment that I needed to book. After waiting 15 min. for her to find something for me for an appointment time I told her just to call me once she was able to find one. That was 10 days ago and I have not heard from either her or my colorist. The colorist always did my hair in a nice cool tone of blonde and I always went back for that reason, This last time she put way too much gold into my hair and I cannot understand why she would change the formula I always liked. She also left a dark spot at the middle of my forehead the size of penny after I told her 3 times to make sure that part is bleached out. This is very unfortunate to have so many things go wrong at a place I used to love and rely on. I will not be going back. read more

Literally cannot say enough good things about this place. I have lived on Cape my entire life and I have never found anyone who consistently does my hair right. I am super picky about the tone and color of my blonde (beachy, ash, blonde highlights blended just right). I had just about resigned myself to having to drive to Boston any time I wanted my hair done and then I happened to see a review for Meghan from Arabella saying how amazing her color was. From the jump, Meghan was knowledgeable and amazing. She honestly told me that the color I wanted would take a few trips to get there, but it would happen eventually. Over the course of 4-6 months, she transformed my brassy, bottle-dyed hair into a GORGEOUS ash, beach-blonde. Every time I go to see her, she listens to anything I want to tweak, and she always remembers exactly how I like my hair done! She never tries to oversell me and in fact gives me advice on how to keep my hair costs down (toning at home, going from a full foil down to a half). Love love love! read more

I live 2 hours away from the salon but have family in the area. When my local hairdresser canceled and had to quarantine I made an appointment with Amanda for a balayage. I left having the best color I've ever had, EVER HAD! What I thought I was getting at my local salon wasn't even close to the hair painting Amanda did! My normal every 7 week root touch up was good for 12 weeks and I could of gone longer! I showed her a picture of the cool blonde that I wanted and I walked out with the exact same color!! I was so happy that I booked another appointment with her over Thanksgiving weekend. Unfortunately Amanda had to cancel that day due to illness (which in COVID times I completely understood) but another stylist, who knew I had traveled quite a distance, offered to stay late to balayage and cut it. Laura also did a great job and I was so grateful that she stayed 3 hours after her scheduled end time on a weekend to fit me in! I also appreciated the level of COVID safety the salon is displaying. This salon (and Meghan especially) is amazing. Exactly what I was looking for. I moved here from San Diego and have been trying to find a colorist to bring back my icy beach blond. After many failed attempts and suffering through an orange blonde head for months... I found Meghan and she brought me back! I selected this salon based on the YELP reviews. I called and asked for an appointment with no particular stylist. I was given an appointment with Amanda the following Tuesday at 2:15. On Monday the salon manager called to confirm and I said I was looking forward to my appointment. On Tuesday at 1:30 I received a phone call telling me that they had over booked and would need to reschedule my appointment. I asked if there might be someone else available that day and I was told no. They wanted me to wait until Thursday. Why does a salon make appointments that they bother to confirm, only to cancel 45 minutes before set time? Is my time not important to them? I told them no thank you, I would take my business elsewhere and they didn't seem to care. I then selected another salon from Yelp, they took me the same day, and my haircut is awesome!
