I had not had my hair done in years because I couldn't afford it. I saved up the $300 to get it my hair cut and foiled a few days before my son's wedding. I was very disappointed. I told her I wanted it a little shorter, which it still looks the same as it did before. I then took my daughter the morning of the wedding to get cut And styled. I kept telling the woman that cut her hair what we wanted, she didn't do it. I went to a wedding on the island and not knowing any of the salons personally, I picked one closest to where I was staying. It was easy to get to, a local bus has a drop off point less than a quarter mile from the salon. I was extremely impressed with the service I received! Tara not only did wonderful things with my hair, she literally "took me under her wing" and taught me a lot. If I lived on the island I believe she would have changed my life. Or, at least the life of my hair. Great salon! Also, they carry Oribe products, if that tells you anything! read more

Maggie's Salon is amazing! The staff is friendly and really talented! I had my hair done here for my wedding last month. Kristen was super helpful answering my questions and setting up my consultation (I went in August for a practice run) and with setting up the appointment and timing on my wedding day. Tara did my hair. I've worked in spas and salons most of my life, this girl takes the cake on up do's! It came out even better than I could have ever imagined! She even intertwined a strand of pearls I wanted incorporated. I hadn't brought them in for the trial, but she made it work and didn't miss a beat! Emily did my mother's hair and it came out exactly like the picture she brought in, it was perfect! I will def come back to Maggie's when I'm on the Vineyard next summer. I just got the WORST haircut at Maggie's Salon. Do NOT trust them with your hair- my hair is crooked and looks terrible. I have never posted a review on Yelp before- I am hoping to save brides and others from a disaster. I cannot believe they let me walk out of there looking like this. I should have gotten out of the chair in middle of the cut when I realized she really had no idea what she was doing. I pointed it out and she just made it worse and now it is too short to even be fixed. My hair is shoulder length and she butchered it. She literally kept asking me if I wanted her to cut specific pieces of hair- as though it was my job to tell her how to even it out!! This is my 4th haircut at this salon - the stylists are overscheduled and so they keep sending me to a new person even though I am booking 2 months in advance- they cancel my appointments and are quite snooty about trying to fit me in. The first stylist I went to worked there for a couple of months and left, the last one has also left (supposedly has an injury but no return date). This time- I have a holiday party this weekend and I made this appointment 2 months ago! I made the mistake of taking another chance. Now it's become clear this place does not care about its clients. They are so busy they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by fitting you in. Don't bother. I did a better job cutting my own hair during the Pandemic then what this gal did today. Shame on Maggie for promising she was experienced and gave a great cut. read more

Really love Beths haircuts and service. Wonderful place. But the appointments are always a mess. 2 times I've had appointments in my phone and they tell me oh no your appt is ... They are wrong and I'm done. I'll find another place hat can keep their Appt book correct. read more

ZERO STARS or negative stars would be more appropriate. I went to Maagie's today for a bikini wax and got the WORST bikini wax ever. All of the lines, sides and top, are uneven. I mean very, very, very crooked. It looks TERRIBLE. I cant believe they have such incompetent staff. I am very disappointed. Dont ever go there for a wax. You will be wasting your money. I cant comment on the other services but my bikini lines are a total mess. read more

If I could give 6, or 7 stars, I would. I had hair and makeup done for my wedding. First off, my hair and makeup came out beautifully. My hair was so well done, that it lasted all through the day, dancing, then sleeping on it. I wore it all day sunday too without it falling. My makeup was also great - it lasted through all the tears, and all through dancing. This salon went above and beyond. My MOH could not initially get a hair appointment, as for her forgetting to call, so she called another salon and scheduled a hair appointment. The place she was originally scheduled at, canceled her appointment. Maggie's Salon graciously fit her in to get her hair done, even though they really did not have the bandwidth to do so. read more

My 4-year-old daughter had her first "big-girl haircut" done by Beth, who was fabulous! She was SO friendly and patient with my wiggly little girl- she explained everything to her before she did it, and she made the experience so wonderful for us both!
