This review has nothing to do with the quality of styling or hair cuts given. I'm 75 and have very little hair to begin with. My stylist at the Suffolk College Drive location gives a VERY GOOD haircut; mine takes her at most 15 minutes, and I tip VERY WELL for the amount of work performed. Today, I had a noon appointment that I made about 8 weeks ago. I walked in at 11:55AM. My stylist was finishing up someone and had checked her out by noon. There was a woman in the waiting area when I walked in. She was a "walk-in" (she had no appointment). My stylist then asked me if it would be OK if she took the woman who walked in before me. I reminded her that I had an appointment and that my cut would only take 15 minutes... the walk-in agreed with me!... ... and yet!... my stylist (and the other stylist who was working) said they needed to take the walk-in next because they are a "walk-in" salon! I asked the logical question "...then why did I make an appointment, which you reminded me of multiple times via text message?!" They LITERALLY had no answer except to say the same thing again... "walk-ins have priority". I walked out! UNBELIEVABLE! It's OK to be a "walk-in" salon... just don't then take appointments. People who make appointments do that so they DON'T HAVE TO WAIT! This was my second attempt to try and get my hair done since I've moved here to Virginia. I was so excited. I end up leaving the salon with nothing but a wash and cut because I thought I was spending $60 because when I booked online that's exactly what it said. I made an appointment with the first available stylist to do my daughter's hair. I called the day beforeand the morningof to make sure she was assignedto a stylistwith experience doing long, thick, naturalhair. I was assured the stylist would be able to do it. 5 hours later, my daughter texted me and said she is not even half way done. I went to the salon to see what was going on and the stylist basically told me she had other appointments and that her hair took too much time to do! The manager stepped in blowdried and trimmed her hair in about 20 min. Because it took so long, we had to leave without a style. The stylist still tried to chrge me for the full style!!! The manager intervened and charged me for a deluxe cut and blowdry which is what she left with. The stylist had an attitude and honestly she owes me for wasting my time. Now I have to spend the next few hours finishing her hair. For her first high school dance. She missed other appointments and the stylist didn't even apologize. They said they ran out of rolling papers. She had her appointment booked for over a week. So it's been on the schedule...they should know that they should have products on hand. I went in yesterday with my 4yr old to get our hair cut. I knew I wanted a shag cut for myself but that was basically it... Lauren was my stylist and the grace, patience and attention to detail she put into giving me the shag cut of my literal dreams, deserve an award! Hello, I really wanted to give this location a good review. In full transparency, today is President's Day, a federal holiday observed by many. We decided to take advantage of a day off to get my 13 yo daughter's hair cut (just a trim) with the understanding we may have to wait. We walked in and were told they would fit us in. We waited about 25 minutes and then heard one hairdresser say to the other after she finished with her client that there was someone else waiting in the parking lot. We waited a bit longer and nothing was said to us. We decided to leave. If they truly wanted our business, they would have said, "thanks for waiting, we have one, two, three, etc. in front of you, we will be with you in about x minutes." But we got nothing and were left wondering how long we would have to wait. We will gladly spend our money somewhere else where we feel like we will receive service and a decent haircut. I am thankful for the opportunity to tactfully show my daughter the appropriate way to deal with a business that does not care to receive our business. We will not return and will ensure our hard-earned money supports a business that cares about its clients. read more

I went to a highly recommended salon to get my hair done and long story short they messed it up. (The photos I'm attaching the left ones are when it was messed up and were taken a day after I got it done!) Anyway I had a lady that was going to fix my hair but she cancelled on me. I called Theresa 3 weeks in advance to make appointment for 2 persons. I called 1 days before to confirm. The schedule was fine. Then couple hours later, she called back and said it was overbooked and asked me to reschedule. I asked her are you sure it's enough time for 2 hair cuts at 5pm. She said don't worry about her. She can stay to cut . We went to got hair cut. She cut first person was tooooo short. She blamed that person keep moving head. But I don't see see move head. Her hair turn out uneven and toooo short. I went here once last night and I am not happy at all for the outcome of how my visit turned out. I went in for a skin fade and an inch off the top of my hair. The stylist did not know what they were doing and clearly don't know how to do a skin fade and didn't tell me until I got my haircut. I'm left with a jacked up buzz cut and more than an inch of my hair was cut off. I was asked if I wanted to go shorter before it was all chopped off and I said no. Still ended up all getting cut off. But today I think I found her. Bri cut my hair today. She is really nice and took care of me. She did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable. I got a typical cut and a hair wash came with it. My stylist was not friendly, not sure of her name, not sure she ever said it. As she washed my hair, she repeatedly said how tangled it was. I told her I hadn't hadn't messed with it that day and I don't brush it when it is dry. In the chair she told me she didn't have any detangler and if I wanted her to use it, I would have to purchase it myself as she proceeded to yank my head and hair, never asking if she was being too rough, which she was. She also stated at least four times my hair was dry, as if I had tried to bleach the red out of it. I repeatedly told her I had not. The stylist's work was fine but her disposition was not. I just wanted my ends trimmed, not to be judged by a stranger. If she wanted to upsell a product, she could have given me a deep conditioning while I was there. Whatever you do. Do not get here. I'm not a big reviewer. In fact I downloaded this app just to write a review because I don't want anyone else to have to deal with what I just did. So I went to get a haircut and eyebrow wax because you know it's the holidays! So my haircut went okay. She didn't really listen to what I want or how I wanted it. The cut is decent just not at all what I wanted. I told her I wanted to take a couple inches off because I'm tired of how long it is (it's about an inch above my butt) she said okay. Once she finished her comb through and separating the hair she said okay I'm going to take two inches off. And I said I want about 4 gone and she told me "no you only need two". Alright then. My bangs were pretty much the same thing. She told me how I needed to have them and that was that. Now all of this I could deal with. Not that big of a deal. However my eyebrows? I had told her before she even TOUCHED them that last time I got them done they were done wrong. One eyebrow had been half the size of the other and they were two different shapes so I've been growing them out to get them fixed. And after about THREE months they were finally back to full eyebrows that I could have done again. So I told her that if she wasn't confident then to please leave them be.
