My home dye turned my hair orangey-red and Tara returned it to its semi-natural color of dirty blonde using chunky highlights. Tara is awesome. The salon is clean. Everyone is friendly. I will travel and go through the traffic in the highway and deal with ignorant driver's just to get my hair done. She's worth it. She works extremely hard to improve this salon consistently. She has added highly trained stylists that produce fabulous weaves, wigs, braids, locs, natural styles, etc., The salon is rolling along beautifully. There is a full-time receptionist, sanitary precautions are always taken to ensure that all customers are safe and the music is mellow and enjoyable. I read a few of the older, negative reviews and I am sure there have been glitches but I was shocked to read those reviews. How unfortunate. I am glad that the owner and senior managers took the information seriously and made the changes to correct the issues before I encountered them. Today, Verdelle gave my grays a touch of brown and gave my natural hair a shiny twist. I love it. It was quick and exactly what I wanted. I like the location and find it as a fun excuse to come to Norfolk and shop around while here in all the good little places nearby. It shares the same parking lot as the Norfolk May's Parlor so - hey - when in Rome! It has it's own parking lot which can be crowded at peak times but there is also street and nearby parking if you have to overflow. The salon is large and open and modern with beautiful and clean spaces and a nice exposed brick. There are probably 20 stations inside for stylists. Bathroom was very clean and well-kept. It can get a bit hectic inside on a busy weekend day but the vibe is easygoing and staff are friendly. They sell plenty of product inside.
