Saved last minute by two friendly and professional hairstylist at this location. When I got dismissed by an arrogant salon down the street, I came here last minute and it made all the difference. My questions were all answered prior to coloring. My colorist (T) knew what she was doing and was confident throughout the entire process. I came out looking so natural and the color turned out so well! I'm able to make the conference tomorrow looking like a brand new person thanks to these ladies! Will return again :) read more

My daughter had her homecoming last night. She wanted so badly to have her hair curled but I was stuck working last night and couldn't do her hair for her so I told her she could borrow my debit card and go to the hair Cuttery down the street Since it's walking distance. They charged her $91 for her hair and when I saw the pictures of what it looked like my jaw almost hit the floor. I could hardly even tell that her hair was curled at all. I've had my hair done for dances and weddings here all way cheaper and 1000 times better this was not what I expected at all for the man I paid. I thought her hair was gonna be gorgeous. I'm literally speechless. I will never be recommending anyone to the salon. If you were too tired to do someone's hair and you wanted to go home early just say so we would've gladly went to a different location but to charge them $91 for hair that looks wavy hardly even wavy. You should be ashamed for hustling a 15-year-old. she could've gotten gorgeous nails Next Door for that same amount and the money would've been well worth it now I'm out $91 and I have no good photos to post or share or print of my daughter's homecoming. Whoever did her hair you should reconsider your career definitely shouldn't be in the hair business. read more

Had a fantastic experience at the Hair Cuttery in Stoney Creek Center. It's always a bit nerve wrecking changing hairstylists but I was quickly felt at ease. My stylist, Crystal was so professional and cheerful. She asked me a lot of questions and we had a great discussion on what she was going to do before she even started n my hair. She really listened to me and I knew I was in expert hands very quickly. My hair turned out SO wonderfully! Love the cut and Love the color! The ambiance of the salon was very comfortable. This place is great but like any other hair salon you need to know WHO to go to. We usually go to Melissa Which is amazing. Today I took my son and specifically asked for "someone great with kids". Apparently she didn't understand or she doesn't know her coworkers. My sons hairdresser didn't even introduce herself or ask my 7 year old about summer. The only thing she said was " keep still. Don't move". Ugh. Like I said you need to know who to go to. Next time I'll wait for the awesome Melissa This place is not cheap. $14 for a kid cut plus tip and he didn't even get a wash read more

It's Tanya or bust at this place. I've been there several times and had great service. Hair and eyebrows looked great. Then I had to get my hair cut and she wasn't around so I had someone else do my hair. I told her what I wanted and how...the foundation was there. She just needed to trim it back. I came out with a bob. Not at all what I was looking for. Another time Tanya wasn't available and I had to get my eyebrows done...I'm adding a picture of how that turned out. I had a wedding to go to last Friday and ended up at the Hair Cuttery for a quick updo after my friend bailed on me at the last minute (Thanks, Friend!). Cassidy was the one who did my hair and she did an AMAZING job. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and she convinced me to go with another look that looked fantastic (I've honestly never heard of a waterfall braid, but it turned out great). I got one really great cut and color here last year so I thought I would be okay .. but then I got Liza, not only was she extremely rude ( when I was trying to explain my job to her as a touring Dj , she asked me if I was a stripper) in a very negative tone .. she would also say unnecessary things about other co workers in a negative light . The color was terrible , it bled , I was covered in it , and over all it was inconsistent with big bands of missing spots .. the cut is what really breaks my heart , as my hair is a big part of my identity .. I went in with hair almost to my elbows .. plenty of length to achieve the desired goal A LONG BOB. She took all my length off in the front and gave me the ugliest variation of a round graduation mushroom shag .. needless to say it was a waste of money I spent another 180 just to correct the color , and now I have to buy extensions so I don't look like Hilary Clinton on tour next month . I wouldn't recommend Liza , over all it was not a good experience. read more

I normally see Maria, who is fantastic. But the last three times I needed a cut she had called out. I finally get to the salon on a Saturday she's there (the only day I can really come in). Got there at 11:30, told she wasn't available til after 1 (and was told over the phone I can't make an appointment with her on a Saturday). I saw Rita. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for - a longer on top, short in the back take on my normal pixie cut. Well, I ended up looking like Ruby Rose, but with an even more butch style. I couldn't tell right away because she put a TON of product in my hair after. I'm done with this place. I hate my hair, and I can't stand looking at it in the mirror. read more

They make you wait 25 minutes while three stylists stand around and talk. No one greets you or is even nice. Never coming back.

I have been a client here for a few years now without problems. I took my daughter in to get a trim and blow dry and requested her favorite stylist. Was told it was a 40 minute wait. No problem, even with the 3 year old with us. Over an hour later we are still waiting as apparently the person in front of my daughter for this particular stylist was getting color/highlights along with a cut and style, and they were just at the hair washing part so it would have been at least another 20 minutes. Since they ask each person what they are getting for their computer system, it was known that the person before my daughter would be taking a long time. Common courtesy (and good business practices) dictates that they should have informed me of this when we checked in and we would have requested first available stylist. Needless to say, we left and will not be returning. It's a shame, because I really liked Stephanie. read more

I saw Kim. All I asked for a was a 2" straight cut across the bottom and a bang trim. When I got home I had TWO LAYERS at the bottom. The top layer was straight and the bottom layer was a jagged mess about an inch long. I went back and asked for a fix, and was told to go back without much hassle. She already had someone in her chair, didn't excuse herself from her current customer but walked over to me with comb and scissors (standing in the middle of the salon) and asked me to turn around. I had to ask for a gown and to be seated. She then took the gown off her current customer, without a word and seated me then proceeded to fix my hair. It looks fine now, but what in the world was she doing the first time? This was THE WORST service I have ever experienced. I've been to other Hair Cutterys so I know you can get good service and a great haircut, but I will never go back to this location again. read more
