I had a very disappointing experience at Hair Cuttery in Springfield of Baltimore pike by the…read moreAfrican American woman she was rude and nasty didn't wet my hair or wash it before cutting even tho the appointment was set for a wash and Cut . The haircut was rushed, uneven, and looked nothing like what I asked for. The stylist barely listened and seemed more interested in finishing quickly than doing quality work. Customer service wasn't much better. I left feeling like I wasted both my time and money and was so upset it almost had me in tears I'm a big part of the community around the area and . I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a quality haircut or good service.

No complaints whatsoever. I booked a Swedish massage, and the person that worked with me was called…read moreDenise. Denise was very professional; she asked if I had any injuries, soft or tender spots, if she wanted me to target certain areas, the whole 9. She also asked how much pressure I wanted her to apply. I told her on a scale from 1 to 5, I enjoy a 3+, and that is just about what she did. Excellent. Prior to the massage, they gave me a robe, a foot bath, and a glass of wine. Certainly there are worse ways to get ready for a massage! After the massage, I went into a proverbial recovery room. It was similar to a salt cave of sorts. There was a waterfall with calcified salt all around it. I will absolutely be back, and I will try out different massages moving forward.

First time dyeing my hair. I didn't want to do it myself as a professional will know things I won't and I don't have dependable friends or acquaintances that I can trust for maximum hair care. A yelp Elite event gave me a gift certificate of a "nominal amount" for this place, and this was a great way to use it. :)

The owner here is the WORST! She is not a good business woman at all. Instead of incurring business…read morecosts on her own, she prefers to put them on her customers. A few years ago she decided that you could only give cash tips, no more adding them to your credit card. More recently she decided that you have to pay the credit card fees if you are paying with a credit card. Are you serious?!?!?! They are always busy...always. It's not like she is struggling to make ends meet. The fact that she is constantly make the customer come out of pocket to offset her business costs is just annoying. If it wasn't for my hairdresser that I've been going to for a very long time, I would have been out of here a looooonnnnng time ago. There are no perks at all. She doesn't give free samples, no gifts around the holidays, nothing. Just more fees! Now she increased prices on top of the added fees. One time I was given the wrong change. I didn't even realize until I was almost home and I had to drive all the way back because it was a full $10 short. The woman that answers the phone is not kind or friendly. The shampooers are always leaving you soaking wet. Ever since Ricardo left, they've been hard pressed to find a good shampoo person. The parking lot is tiny and an accident waiting to happen. Once my eyebrow waxer left (a long time ago), I decided to just stop getting waxed because the new girl did an awful job and I never bothered trying anyone else. Again, if it wasn't for my actual hairdresser, this place wouldn't have anything going for it. Hopefully the owner can start putting more effort into doing something for her loyal customers before she starts losing more of her hair stylists...and their customers.
