The service requested, which was a keratin treatment was excellent. The quality was excellent. The vibe of the salon was pretty good. Kesha was great. My only concern was that I had an abrasion in my head and from a fall that I had and it hasn't healed completely yet, and she kept combing it and bumping it with the hair dryer and stuff and it hurt a lot. I highly recommend staying away from this place. While getting a haircut one of The barbers cut a piece of skin off my ear. It took multiple staff members multiple attempts to get the bleeding to stop. They still have the audacity to charge me for the haircut as my ear was still bleeding at the counter. They didn't even pick up the bloody rags and cramed some kind of stuff in my ear that caused it to get infected. Extremely unsanitary and a very unprofessional. Contacted the owner and he doesn't even want to pay my medical bills. I will find out who your insurance company and dispute this issue with them just so you know. read more

After the experience my mother just had here, I felt compelled to write a review immediately. We are visiting from out of state and my 3 year olds hair was becoming an issue in the humidity and heat (plus she hates brushing her hair). My mom took her here to see Janet for a proper chop! At home she is used to going to places specifically for kids. They have cars to sit in and kids movies playing etc. but NSB doesn't have a lot of kid oriented things as it is more of a snowbird town. Going into a proper salon was a very new experience and she was......not cooperative lol. However, my Mom reported that despite my child behaving like a bucking bronco, Janet was patient and kind. Very friendly service and provided the exact cut I requested. While checking out they noticed something I didn't and brought me back to correct it and educate in a positive manner. I was very impressed the my stylist interacted with my daughter and answered all her questions. I've been coming here 3 years. I always book my appointments and I've been taken care of Up until 3 months ago... I've been having issues with my appointments. At one point I was on my way to the salon and they called telling me they had to move the hair cut to the next day. I said fine it's pretty inconvenient but I understand( time crunch). Next day I show up and they make me wait 15 minutes, with my appointment. Next appointment I show up 4 minutes late and they put Someone in my place with a 15 minute wait.I was like have a great day I'll come back another time. I'm never going back here. Where is the mercy I have showed you? Where is the understanding? Made me very sad but I'll take my business elsewhere where they respect and appreciate the clients a little more and maybe have a little more understanding. read more

I wish I could leave more stars but I can't get over how botched my hair looked after I showered and checked it out. Long hairs were scattered on the sides. A bald spot on my right side that a coworker told me about. Around my ears were long hairs. I mean this is what y'all do for a living I would be very particular each customer left with no reason to come back to get it cleaned up. I have been going here for over a year and have had no consistency. Take your time and after the cut clean it up so you can see any imperfections. Unfortunately I won't be going back. read more

Overprice for the quality of service. I received the wrong cut because of poor communication skills. They were more busy trying to make me feel comfortable than to give me the service I wanted. Worst customer service.. This is the second time I have gone and have waited over an hr. First time was just for an eyebrow wax and it seemed like no one wanted to wait in me cause I wasn't getting my hair cut.. Second time my boyfriend needed a quick haircut so we went at the end of the day thinking the wait wouldn't be so bad but I was so wrong there were only 2 people working and we said we just needed his hair cut and they said ok it should be long. An hr went by and still waiting in the mean time another guy walks in and they say it's a 15min wait. Lol when one girl finished instead of taking by boyfriend she took the guy that came in after us. I went in for a cut, they got me in right away which was nice. I just asked for a couple inches cut off and my bangs be trimmed. The cut is ok, not great or anything, but I have thin, flat hair and it's hard for me to find someone who knows what to do with it. I thought the customer service was poor, my stylist didn't say hardly anything to me during the cut, which can make it sort of uncomfortable. She also kept excusing herself and would disappear in the back for a minute or two, I didn't really mind, just seemed kind of unprofessional. The thing that made me the most upset is that I got charged an extra $10 for "long hair". I know that $10 isn't a lot of money, but my hair was just past my shoulders and like I said it is very thin. My haircut takes all of 10 minutes. Also, I think I should have been told upfront that there would be an additional charge. I could see if I had super thick hair and the cut actually took up more of the stylists time, but that's not the case. I went there for convenience and because it used to be cheaper than the higher end salon I like, but I won't do that again. Apparently they just want to nickel and dime people without any mention of additional charges. I think it's bad business. read more
