I had my kid use this place before and it was nice then. I don't know what happened other than maybe I caught them on a good day. As for now, They are disrespectful, unprofessional, overpriced, and they didn't do what I asked them to do. I was very displeased with the service. My daughter stopped going to this establishment as well due to her hair being messed up. They charged extra for toner. $20 to be exact. I will find a better way to spend $170! Carla was amazing!! I wanted a completely different makeover for my hair. She was super understanding and not only did what i wanted but did better than what I could even explain or picture for myself. Definitely recommend her for coloring and haircuts, her framework with my bangs is better than anybody else has ever done and I love my money pieces. read more

If I can give this place a zero star I would 100%. I have a personal hair stylist I have been going to since she started. She's the best one and the ONLY one that knows how I love my hair. She's my private personal stylist. I came here to get my hair done a while ago and the other girls here I guess didn't like that we were laughing quietly. Kary is so rude and treats people so poorly. If a so called manager can't be nice to her employees she 100% isn't nice to customers. I'm leaving this review so you can pick a different hair place somewhere else who will treat humans with RESPECT and show them true customer service. Please don't reply to this review. So I've gone to this Hair Cuttery in Griffith for like 10 years. I recently went for a trim and a little color change. I went there knowing what I wanted and tell the young lady what I want, and we sat there for almost 40 mins while she tried to figure out what to do. She talked to me like I was a f*cking idiot. I'm not the professional hair stylist, why is it so hard to figure out what to do?! Maybe hair is not her calling. I also told her I had been growing my hair out to ONE length for YEARS. As it was almost to where I wanted it. After all the coloring, she FINALLY had a suggestion for me...and that was to add layers. I really really contemplated. I did NOT want to cut my hair w layers. But she suggested it and said my hair was pretty damaged. So when all was said and done, I paid $200 & I HATE my hair cut. It looks and feels terrible. She was EXTREMELY ROUGH on my hair when doing the color and conditioning rinse. I feel she did more damage to my hair than anything. And now, years of patiently growing it out, wasted. She was not always so rude and inconsiderate. Her name is Tatiana. I do NOT recommend her or any of their other stylist as most are rude and don't listen or do what is asked. Also don't use Jen. I went to Hair Cuttery while I was in town from Out of state visiting family. The hair dresser I had Did Not do as I asked and she didn't even look at the pictures I brought for my haircut! She later told me she didn't feel I would like the haircut I choose and left it much longer than I wanted! I also had a highlight and my hair looked no different than when I went in!! She put a glaze on my hair for an additional $25 and she never discussed this with me before hand. My bill was higher because of this and I wasn't prepared to pay the additional cost. When I got home I decided to call and explain my disappointment and asked when she had time to fix a couple of issues with my hair. Suffice to say, the hair dresser wasn't very happy or helpful and she put me off for over a week, claiming to be booked up. I called two days later and asked for an appointment with her and I was told she was wide open and whenever would work for me. WTH?? I will never recommend this lady or her salon. I was very unhappy with the service I received at this location and quite honestly, I felt everyone was very unprofessional and a bit rude whenever I asked a question. read more

I stopped in for some waxing and the girl told me there was one person ahead of me, as all the 4 of them were busy with customers. As I waited the other girls became free and looked at me but not one said anything, they either sat down or swept their station, than who I believe was the manager came to the front and sat at the desk. They all began to chat personal conversaton with a regular customer while he seemed to be enjoying and flirting the the attention of 5 girls. All this time about 30-40 min I was sitting there waiting while they all laughed and joked around with the customer. Finally the manager lady asked me if I needed something. She said she didn't know and I said I checked in, the girl who checked me in and had seen me waiting there said she thought someone had seen it in the notes that I was waiting. A BUNCH OF BS! The girl that did my waxing was nice and apologetic the other girl that checked me in, apologized but I felt it was too late. I even told the girl doing my waxing, if you see someone sitting there you ask if they need help! Very bad customer service. .I really wanted to like this place because it is close to my home but will not be returning! read more

This has got to be the single worst haircut of my life. The back is about an inch longer on one side. Other places are randomly longer than others. The left front is an inch longer than the right. I could have had better results with a weed whacker. I called to see if another stylist can fix it...not even asking for a refund...and was told that it has to be approved by a manager first. Hopefully someone there knows how to do hair and I can get this fixed into something (anything!) that I am not ashamed of when I am in public. read more
