I've been coming to this location for a few years and each and everyone of the ladies working there are friendly, professional and excellent at what they do. So again this doesn't have to do with the stylists there so my 1 star isn't a reflection on them at all. However for the past several months though, my son and I have had less then an excellent experience when it comes to upgrading and paying additional for the mvp service due to the fact of an ongoing issue with their hot water heater. At this point I'd of figured it of been fixed by now considering it's been several months but it hasn't and this past time the water was the worst it's ever been and was frigid cold and quite honestly I can't believe Managment allowed their staff to even continue to offer a shampoo knowing it was dreadfully FREEZING (not an exaggeration) cold. And expect customers to pay for that crap is ridiculous, that should be the point where you draw the line and tell your staff we can't expect people to pay for a miserable experience due to frigid water temperatures. It's wrong and a poor way to conduct business and flat out poor management/business skills. I'm quite angry I came in over the weekend and had to experience a cold ass shampoo and paid for It. This less then satisfactory experience over and over again has made me reconsider coming back to this location. If the manager doesn't have this fixed by my next visit in a few weeks, I'll have no choice but to take mine and my sons business elsewhere, as I'm sure many others will decided to do as well. Before that I lived in New England and the lady that did my hair cut it for 10-years. When you find a good stylist you stay with them. At least that is how I feel about it. A man's hair cut runs between $12 and $18 depending on the cut I suppose. I have been offered a discount several times but always pay $20 because a good men's hair cut is worth that much. I want to be fair to the stylist. Nonetheless, even $20 is cheap for a great cut. Before coming to DeChalet I tried several local establishments and was surprised at how "unprofessional" they were or how inexperienced the people cutting hair were. Perhaps inexperience is a better way to "put it." Regardless, when I walked in the stylist were busy but the woman sitting in the chair, a customer, convinced me to wait. She said she came all the way from Wilmington, DE to get her hair done by Charlotte because she was the best. Truly it was good advice. I have been getting my hair cut there ever since. The last time I was there a woman came in to get her hair fixed. She got it cut across the street, at another salon, and wanted a wig until it grew out and her hair, which was now too short, cut correctly. This woman was visibly upset and Charlotte asked me, now a regular there, if I could wait. She went right to work and performed a miracle for this lady. So I think people are discovering this hidden jewel in the Harbor Shops Center next to the dollar store. Certainly this salon is worth trying and if you value a good look you can avoid those chop shops and still get a great hair style without breaking the bank.

Ironically, it just happens to be 3%! As a client, it is not my responsibility to pay your credit fee/overhead fee. That is your cost of doing business! Also, I believe you take that deduction as a business expense on your taxes. Most importantly, in all US states, it is illegal for merchants to charge a fee for using a debit card, including surcharges. This is because the Durbin Amendment prohibits debit card surcharges. While some states have laws restricting or prohibiting credit card surcharges, debit cards are specifically exempt, meaning businesses cannot add fees for using them. In this tough economy, I'm surprised a business would attempt a money grab for services that are discretionary in nature, and typically, only received as the budget allows.

The worst thing is their towel on the washing bed (the one that would contact with your neck). It smells (like dirty towels) and the location got contact with it felt itchy afterwards the smell from the dirty towel remains on my neck as well until I shower at home this should never happen at a four dollar sign salon. Besides that, the store was clean and quiet. My appointment was 1PM - 4 PM. Only two people were working at that time--the two owners. Tbh it was the first time I saw a hairdresser do everything himself--all the preparation, cut, perming, washing, etc. The limitation of staff resulted in lack of attentiveness. During the perm, the medicine touched my face, and overall the experience was not up to the standard. I really hope that they can improve because hair coco has lots of potentials.
