This was a rare occasion where…read moreI decided to get a "professional" cut for an upcoming promotion at work, and I am leaving looking worse than I have in years. To be clear, I did my due diligence. I called ahead and specifically asked if they could do a men's haircut, and I was assured they could. When I sat in the chair, the stylist Tanya immediately told me she couldnt do skin fades. I said, "Okay, perfect," because that's exactly what I didn't want. I explained that my usual style is a more grown-out, longer look. I even showed a clear inspiration photo to ensure we were on the same page. She then proceeded to completely ignore everything I said. Not only did she not follow the photo, but she cut my hair drastically shorter than I asked for. When I voiced my concern, saying it was already too short, she decided to take even more off, making the situation infinitely worse. I usually cut my own hair, and I consistently get a result ten times better than this. The one time I trust a professional with a major life event, my trust was completely misplaced. I am so angry and frustrated. My hair is completely butchered, and I now have to face a big career milestone feeling insecure and unhappy. The evening comes and still no word back regarding a new stylist or appointment (which was suppose to be for tomorrow morning). I even sent a follow up text asking for an update. No reply. It's 9:33am and still no reply. Is this how you treat new customers?? If so, I won't even bother trying. Bye.

On top of this, she snagged my earrings harshly multiple times causing them to literally come undone. When I left, my earrings were irritated and sore from the amount of times she snagged them, I also literally had scratch marks on the side of my face. She was also just incredibly rude! She was snippy and aggressive when she spoke, and she washed my hair which literally took less than 30 seconds. The whole time she was pulling my hair and scratching me. PLEASE AVOID!!

It was time to change up my stylist a few months ago and I am SO HAPPY that one of my girlfriends gave me Mica's name. She is amazing; I haven't been this happy with my hair in years! Mica is like a hair goddess and she really listens to what you need and takes the time to give you what you want. Her prices are fair, and the salon she works in is super cute! I never feel like she's rushing me out the door and she takes the time to really style my hair before I leave! I continue to get compliments on my hair weeks after it's been done, which is certainly a testament to the quality of her work! I won't lie, I'm hard to please, which is why I'm so thrilled to have finally found someone that I trust with my hair! And I'm a total coffee addict so I LOVE that she will bring me a fresh cup of coffee while I'm sitting under the dryer!!!!
