I am new to the area and had been looking for a hairdresser because I had roots that were probably 4 in Long and I needed them redone plus I had some orange spots in my hair from where I had colored my hair myself. Everywhere I went quoted me outrageous prices to get it fixed. Then I contacted Melody for a free consultation. She did my hair for a third of what other people had quoted me and it looks absolutely amazing! She takes her time to get you what you are wanting and you can tell that she loves what she does and puts time and care and to doing your hair so that you get the result that you're looking for! She is super sweet extremely experienced and just a blessing to me to have found! Such a kind-hearted woman and an amazing hairdresser and I will be going to her and referring all my friends to her from now on! Just look at this beautiful blonde that she did on me! Thank you Melody for my total hair transformation!!

My mom ended up cutting the ends for me to make it even. And it's very frizzy which was not the case before I went to this stylist.

I will start this review with the one positive thing that the stylist was a nice woman. After that it all went downhill. The color that was chosen was a good color but the application on my hair is a horrible job. It looks as if it has already grown out, it is splotchy in spots, the haircut I received my mom had to straighten it out at the ends. This is the poorest job I have ever had on my hair. It cost me $260 with a $45 off coupon for a trim and highlights. I highly recommend that you stay away from this stylist! She is also very rough with your hair.

Dear readers, I have been meaning to let you know about The Hair Bar...the location is so…read moreconvenient, and easy to park. I love walking in and looking at all the products they have to sell while waiting for my stylist. I have been coming here for a couple of years now, and I am always pleased with my results. They wash your hair so well, and use excellent products. Shakira has been styling my hair recently and she's excellent, but honestly they are all good. Kaelin was wonderful as well, and I unfortunately can't remember the others who have done my hair, but no one missed the mark, especially with my thick curly/frizzy hair. If you have a special occasion, are in town and want a refresher, or just need a change you can't go wrong at The Hair Bar. They also have fantastic make up artists to doll you up for any occasion.

She didn't greet me with a smile or even a simple "welcome" just a flat "Do you have an appointment?" It felt cold, uninviting, and honestly, left me questioning whether I was even wanted there. As someone new to the salon, that kind of energy really matters it sets the tone for the entire visit. That said, the stylist who did my hair was truly lovely warm, professional, and talented. She made the experience better, and I'm grateful for that. But the receptionist left such a negative first impression that I honestly don't see myself coming back. If you're trying to grow a loyal client base, the first point of contact should reflect the hospitality and quality of the service inside. I hope management takes a closer look at who's representing their brand at the front desk.

My go to neighborhood salon! Love the team and the vibe and the ambiance!…read moreownership is wonderful and stylists are awesome! Makes me happy to come here and feel like a million bucks when I leave!

I booked at this salon after Ulta canceled my blowout last minute, so I decided to give this place…read morea chance. I honestly really regret it, especially considering I paid around $60+ after tax. This was easily one of the worst experiences I've had at a hair salon, and it was absolutely not worth the price. The bad experience honestly started at the front desk. The girl working up front was not welcoming whatsoever and came across like she had an attitude and genuinely did not want to be there. For me, the front desk is one of the most important parts of a salon because that person is literally the first impression a customer gets when they walk in. If I'm paying money for a service, I expect good customer service. I don't expect to walk in and immediately feel like my presence is an inconvenience. Having that be the first interaction already felt unprofessional and set the tone for the rest of the experience. Then the younger girl with glasses who did my hair was just as unwelcoming. She barely spoke to me, never introduced herself, never asked how I was doing, and made almost no conversation throughout the appointment. I don't even remember her name because there was basically no introduction or interaction. I explained that I wanted a blowout with loose, Hollywood-style curls and volume. What I ended up with initially looked like my hair had simply been blow-dried and not properly styled or brushed out. I was genuinely so disappointed. I was getting my hair done specifically for an event that night, and I could have gotten better results at home using my own rollers. The entire reason I pay to have my hair professionally styled is because I expect the result to be BETTER than what I can do myself. Another thing I really disliked was how it felt like every tiny additional request suddenly became a major extra charge. I understand charging extra for an actual elaborate updo, braids, or something that requires significant additional work. But something as simple as putting the hair half-up can apparently turn into an "updo" charge that adds a significant amount to the service. It felt excessive, especially when the original blowout itself wasn't giving me the results I requested. Thankfully, another stylist named Jessica stepped in to help. She was extremely nice and actually tried to fix the situation. Since the brush styling wasn't giving the desired result, she curled my hair and suggested pinning the curls so they could set until later that evening. I appreciated her effort and followed her instructions exactly. I literally went to a restaurant and spent hours out in public with my entire head pinned because I wanted to give the style the best possible chance to set before my event, which wasn't until around 10-11 PM. When I finally took the pins out, my hair did look pretty, but it still wasn't what I originally asked for. It didn't have the volume or overall look I had expected based on what was explained to me, so after everything, I was still disappointed. Jessica did mention that I should come back and that I would be a good model for long layers. I specifically explained that maintaining my length is extremely important to me because it has taken me YEARS to grow my hair this long. I said I might be interested as long as my length stayed where it was. Later, she mentioned taking about two inches off. That immediately confirmed for me that I would not be coming back for a haircut either. If I specifically say I do not want to lose my length, suggesting taking two inches off is exactly the kind of thing that makes me nervous about trusting someone with my hair. Overall, I'm glad Jessica stepped in because she was kind and genuinely tried to help, but the overall experience was disappointing, overpriced, and not something I would repeat. Customer service matters, especially when you're paying salon prices, and I shouldn't feel unwelcome from the second I walk through the door. Between the attitude at the front desk, the lack of customer service from my original stylist, the disappointing initial result, the additional charges for seemingly minor styling requests, and feeling like what I was asking for wasn't really being listened to, I definitely will not be returning.
