My appointment was canceled the day of, yet I received no text, email, or notification informing me. In fact, at 7:52 a.m. the morning of my appointment (scheduled for 11:15 a.m.), her team texted me confirming details and letting me know what to expect during the service. So, when I arrived and was told my appointment had been canceled due to "miscommunication," I was very confused. What made this even more frustrating was that nowhere on the booking site or Instagram page does it clearly state that new clients are required to complete an email consultation prior to their appointment. After explaining the cancellation, Stephanie quickly asked me to put my hair down so she could assess it and ultimately said she could still fit me in for the service I booked but that I would have to wait because she was busy. During the time slot I had originally booked, she was servicing another client. The most disappointing part of the experience was how cold and unwelcoming the interaction felt. My hair wash was extremely rough, rough enough that the shampoo bottle was even dropped during the service and the entire appointment felt rushed. There was no effort made to make me feel valued as a client. As someone who also works in the beauty industry, I truly believe client experience and genuinely making an effort to talk to your client is important and part of the job. At one point, while going back and forth between me and the other client, she told the other client, "10 more minutes and I'll be all yours," which only reinforced how much of an inconvenience I felt like during my appointment. To be clear, this review is solely based on the customer service experience, not the quality of her work. I'm not seeking a refund. I'm only sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and in hopes that this feedback is taken seriously by the salon as it seems I'm not the only one with this experience.

He was able to bleach my hair from a super dark brown to platinum blonde, all while preserving the integrity of my hair. I wasn't quite sure what color I wanted but trusting in his suggestion, I went with ombre golden sky pink and it came out absolutely gorgeous. If you have a specific color in mind, he can work with you to achieve it but if you're also open to suggestions, he can create many different color combinations. I get so many compliments regarding the color of my hair, as well as how healthy it is. I appreciate that Andy has his own suite- the privacy and ambience of the salon is very chic. You can tell how someone would treat your hair based on their workspace and Andy is all about quality! I very much enjoy going to him for my hair journey, not only because he does a superb job, but also because he is very down-to-earth and cares about your hair's health.

This was my first time getting color at this salon and I am very disappointed. I asked for natural…read morelight brown highlights and specifically told my stylist I did not want a balayage. Then when my stylist was putting the foils halfway down my hair I reminded her I did not want a balayage and wanted more natural lighter highlights just around my face. She explained what she was doing would create natural highlights throughout. I figured she's supposedly the expert. Sure enough when she removed the foils I had a balayage. Then when she tried to fix it, she made it worse as I now have striped copper lines in my hair. Not light brown, like I asked, they're copper!! Literal stripes down my head, it's quite embarrassing and I wore a hat for the rest of the day. And I'll have to continue to cover my hair until I can get it fixed elsewhere. They look worse in person than in the photos too. Soooo frustrating and especially so because when I called to make the appointment I specifically ask for someone with a lot of experience as I have not had my hair colored or highlighted in a long time and I wanted a very natural lighter highlight.

The salon and people there had a kind and welcoming vibe and I loved Aldo! But the real star, is my hair. WOW. WOW. WOW! I've been getting highlights almost a decade and have always been okay with them, but wow I'm obsessed with my hair. He was thoughtful about doing them in a way that helped brighten my face while retaining my original color and made some major improvement with my hair movement.
