RUN!! I came to Mia wanted to get Loc extensions and Mia insured me that she would be able to get…read morethis done for me. First thing it took two full days for this process which I was patient about. When she first finished the locs they looked a little questionable but she insured me that it will take sometime for them to loc together. Once I took my hair out of the style they continuously started falling out. I had people finding them on the floor handing them to me. Embarrassing! I contacted her right away and informed her that 30 plus of them have fallen out. She said, "Alright let me know when you can come in". I set up a time with her two weeks prior because I live out of state. When the day comes for us to meet up she has some issues and end up rescheduling for the next day. The whole day she delayed our appointment. It wasn't until 10pm that day she informs me that I could come by then. Then she says, "You know there is going to be charged right?". How am I suppose to know there is going to be a charge when she never mentioned it anytime throughout the two weeks the appointment has been scheduled. Also, why am I being charged when I paid you for loc extension that were not locked up fully? I have to pay you for the mistake you made? At this point I was like whatever. I was willing to pay if she was going to address all the concerns that I had with my hair which were a lot. The first thing Mia said when I walked through the door was are you paying cash or card? Already rubbed me the wrong way with her unprofessionalism and attitude. I give her the bag of hair and she says, "HA That's not even half of the locs". Maybe not half of my locs fell out but I great portion of them came out. She then starts slapping the locs back on with no real care. You could tell that she didn't care to fix the problem she created. When I would ask a question about my hair she gave my complete attitude to the point I felt super uncomfortable with her doing my hair. Half way through she said give me my money then ill finish your hair. REALLY? It was so disrespectful and immature. I've never been treated like this while getting my hair done. I look in the mirror when I went to get her money and saw how bad she just slapped the extensions on and I can tell she was not going to be willing to fix my other concerns. Why am I going to pay somebody that is not going to listen to my needs as a customer?? I ended up just leaving and now I'm finishing my hair myself which is turning out so much better than what I paid for. Bottom line if you want somebody to listen to your needs, exhibit great customer service, take care of there customers, take accountability of their work, or just have a stylist that dosent have such a negative attitude Mia IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO!!!! I did everything I said I would as a client and was very patient with Mia. The way she treated me was uncalled for and 100% the most unprofessional experience I've EVER experienced. You can find better stylist for the same price or cheaper that actually care about the results and not only about the money.

Rhonda Sterns black hairstylist did an awful job on my hair sew in. It's a disaster. The first time…read moreI put in extensions in the winter of 2018 I ask for blonde highlights. I sent her the picture of the wig I wore. Blonde and brown highlights. She said she can do that. What she put in my hair was not close to the color. I settled for it. Although NOT the color. It was pretty. On March 28,2019 I try and gave her another chance. I texted her her and said "let's try again". Sent her a pic of what I wanted. Told her I don't want to end up like last time. Because I felt like I wasted money because I did not get what I paid for. YOU SHOULD RECEIVE WHAT YOU PAID FOR. I said definitely must be this color. She said she can do it. Got there on April 3 2019 @ 6;30pm. I saw the hair extensiohns. Told her not the right color. She told me that the hair was wet/damp and once she sew it in and blow dry it would be the color I ask with highlights. It just looks that way because its damp. It wasn't close to the color. Left shop disappointed again. Next morning I got up and when I saw my hair red in natural light, there were no highlights just red. I was so devastated went to work late. It literally made me felt ill. I TEXT and told her THIS hair must be corrected IMMEDIATELY. She told me I can come back to the shop. But no money will be reimburse because the hair is mine! and she went on to say as though she was going to charge me for her MISTAKES! I called her and said absolutely NOT. But I will be to her salon later that day. She then tells me human hair extensions can't be died blonde because it's going to damage hair and make smoke come from it. She said she had bleached weave hair before and it had smoke coming from it. I later sent her a pic of my cousin's hair in which her weave were dyed blonde; as well as my cousin's friend hair that was a blonde sew in. So that's a lie. I called several cosmetologists and they said she doesn't know how to color. Later that morning I went into work a few hours . When I walked in the office coworkers said my hair was ORANGE. I was horrified. I am a professional that work in a corporate environment. After work I return to salon so she can put a toner on it. She put a toner on my hair without removing the tracks. I asked won't that damage my hair. She said NO. It is now lighter but not the right color. The closure she initially put on my head was to far back. She resewed the closure realizing she sewed it to far back. So she tugged on it pulling my hair without removing and reapplying or repositioning it on my head . On Sunday April 7th at 10:05 am I realized when combing my hair, the hair literally LIFTED OFF MY HEAD (SEE PICTURE BELOW) I took a pic and text her asking "should it look like this after 3 days?" I got No response!! SHE ACTUALLY BLOCK MY NUMBER!!!!!! It is now Tuesday, April 9. 2019 @ 1:23 pm No response. I have no other alternative but to take her to small claims court and calling the Texas state cosmetology license board to report her. $325 of hard earn money wasted. I would never refer anyone to her. She's not Professional does not own her mistakes. Currently I am emotionally exhausted. I've wasted $325. She's not willing to give back.
