While I cannot remember the name of the woman who took my information down, she confirmed the appointment and after my inquiry of paying ahead of time for the appointments, stated that they did not take cards over the phone. I told her no problem, that I could come during a weekend to pay. I did not make it the weekend before Halloween, but instead went to pay on 11/4. I had tried to call ahead on Friday and received no answer to the phone call nor a call back to my message. Showed up on Saturday, and went to open the door only to find out that the door was locked. Looked around, saw not Open sign, no other sign of life that I could see at all. Finally peeked in the only window without a shade, and not only was NO ONE there, but there was a toilet, some light fixtures and some pipes sticking up through the floor. Not a stick of furniture left in the place. I messaged the place via Facebook that morning- still no answer, and have called several times since, still no one answering the phones. I understand if someone is sick, something happened, they had to close up shop, etc, but why not call the customers who had appointments (ESPECIALLY for weddings!) and inform them of the change? I had to turn around, scramble and find someone else to beg to make appointments with. NOT how I had planned on that turning out. Just writing this review as a warning since all social media and google information still show that they are OPEN (even right now), that they are NOT. Neither neighbor in the shopping center knew anything about it either. You have been warned.

The back 3/4 of the store is the hair salon and the front 1/4 of the store is a women's clothing store. My first visit was today, and I think Gabriel did a great job with my hair. Uptown Salon: A Downturn in Service!…read more I am absolutely livid and utterly disappointed with my recent experience at Uptown Salon. I booked an appointment well in advance for my mother to get her hair colored and styled for a special occasion. We were both really looking forward to it, hoping for a bit of pampering and a confidence boost. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that things were not going to go smoothly. The salon was chaotic, with stylists rushing around and clients crammed into every available space. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we were left waiting for an unacceptable amount of time. Then came the real insult. After nearly an hour of waiting, we were informed that, due to some "unforeseen circumstances" (which sounded suspiciously like overbooking), they would not be able to color and style my mother's hair after all. Let me repeat that: they couldn't do the service we had booked and waited for. No apologies, no attempt to reschedule, and certainly no offer of compensation for our wasted time and ruined plans. My mother was incredibly upset, and frankly, so was I. Uptown Salon's complete disregard for their clients' time and appointments is appalling. Their lack of professionalism and basic customer service is beyond belief. If you value your time and want to avoid disappointment, I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere. This salon is quite a scheduling disaster.
