Had a GREAT experience with a haircut by Danny last Saturday, out of Avalon Salon in Orange on N. Tustin Ave. I booked online via the Avalon Salon website (very easy and convenient). What I loved: 1. He was a great communicator, very transparent throughout his process. Within the first five minutes, he evaluated my hair for length, amount, and texture, quoted me a price, and made sure I completely understood why my price was going to be my price (which was *very* reasonable, given my specific situation). 2. He really listened to my goals and concerns, gave me a cut that checked all the boxes, and provided tips on how to care for my type of hair and style. I've always been searching for the right kind of hair stylist and I think Danny may be the one! It was over a year ago that I last cut my hair and I knew it was time for a hair change. I decided to give Danny a try since I was going to be in the area on the weekend and he can even do Sunday appointments! A huge win. My usual go to hairstyle is either a U or V shaped hairstyle but unfortunately Danny doesn't specialize in that. However, he does specialize in layers and offering a sophisticated but simple straight hairstyle. I was willing to try this hairstyle and trusted Danny to make sure that this hairstyle framed my face and offered plenty of layers in the back. Danny carefully took his time to cut my hair and was able to blow dry my hair out with style in about one hour. Most stylists usually will either use a curler or flat iron for my hair but Danny was able to give a slight curl to my hair by just blow drying it out with the blow dryer tools and brushes! Since I had long hair, the price of my haircut was $55 but it was worth it for the time and care Danny was able to do. He does accept payment in cash or Venmo. Both my sister and I ended up having Danny cut our hair and we both enjoyed chatting with him and having him do our hair for us which has already received compliments from our family.
